Fri - few impromptu drinks after work with the TCR gang

Sat - up early and got all done up for our friends wedding, drove to Balham to pick up a Gollum enroute and somehow ended up doing the scenic route to Tumbridge Wells via the Dartford Tunnel (it was always going to be a recipe for disaster with me and Rach trying to navigate for poor Tom   ). 3 hours after leaving home finally end up at the hotel and met up with everyone else and headed to the Castle where the wedding was being held. Absolutely amazing setting and grounds :D Fantastic day, the bride and groom both looked stunning, the sun shone all day, lots of drinking, yummy food (veggie bangers and mash mmmm) and general wedding antics :D Back to the hotel at the end for more messiness and celebrating.

Sun - breakfast with everyone and then back home.

Fantastic weekend all round, I love weddings I do  :D

Wedding photos are lovely her dress was beautiful....

This weekend was spent cleaning, eating, drinking and dog walking. That is all. :D

sat:caught up with deadly dj danX and sir robertG at the abbey in kentish town for annother of their back to back sessions

then i went to see mark sun play at turnmills on sat night. he played a brilliant warm up set. i have never seen the place so busy so early. by 11 the dancefloor was full and bouncing. nice work marky.

bob sinclar was on next. the man is a proper poser pop star type. peeps were crowding round the booth to take his photo and he was truly lovin it!! by now the main room was packed to the gills. poor jonny arthur was playing to 15 people in room 2.

it had been a long day drinking in the sunshine though so i left and went home.

Friday - crap telly and early night - lovely.

Saturday - pre ibiza shopping...have the most amazing summer wardrobe but unfortunately seem to be spending approx 5x my earnings on it. I'm sure I'm not alone here.

pm - lovely civilised meal at a friends as a grown up experiment but soon enough we all ended up at Fabric.

I've avoided Fabric up until now for two reasons:

1. It's such a hooooge club that I was saving it until the ideal night that would be guaranteed a good crowd (this opportunity never seemed to arise for some reason.

2. I was in no mood for tourist pikeys.

...so it's nice to have seen the place - it's bloody brilliant isn't it? 8O
Also, I can now make a direct comparison with the Ministry.

Ministry = nice and fluffy, easy to own your space on the dance floor, more varied music policy, sh!t crowd, easy to navigate.

Fabric = expensively grimey, amazing layout, 2 massive main rooms, better (but less vaired) music policy, very impersonal, sh!t crowd - but easy to get away from them and find a nice area.

Conclusion: Fabric is much better than the Ministry.

Having said that tho, the music was bloody boring...I hate minimal, go away now please (repeat and fade)...Terry Francis was ok tho. (just ok mind)

Sunday - Brick lane market - spent loads more money.

good weekend! 8)

Friday: Straight after work caught the bus to london to get to my friends birthday dinner at st john bread and wine in shoreditch. Lovely dinner except bloody expensive, could barely believe the prices for not a lot of food in there...

After that headed to trailer trash where much fun was had until it went a bit wrong and I ended up being incredibly horrible at jamie's until god knows what time...

Saturday: Went to soho square for some nice time in the sunshine in the afternoon before dinner at a friends, then the bad decision to go to fabric. Adam beyer was unbelieveable there, absolutely loved his set, made me realise I didn't go out to 'proper' techno nearly enough    . After adam beyer couldn't face a slow down in speed for luciano so headed to public life. The toilet turned out to be a bit of a disaster when the sound wouldnt work at around 8.30 so we were all kicked out and a big motley crew of toilet regulars descended on hoxton square for a few hours until it was time to get a big bus up to hackney for the kubicle terrace party at the dolphin pub there. Amazing weather made partying in the sunshine brilliant, although it was far too hot. Had a great time until I thought I really had to get out of that place and headed back home around 7pm.

Sunday: see above

Right, next week off in preparation for ibiza!

i'm trying to work out how your analysis makes fabric better than ministry.:? or is it a case that you think they are both sh!t, only ministry is sh!tter.;)

I love them both actually  ...just prefer smaller clubs full of mates where music is better, sound is rubbish and drinks are cheaper. ;)

Fabric is like the best warehouse party you've ever been to without the atmosphere.

You can throw as much money as you like at a club but you can never buy that bit.

Fri - out with my gay mate for a night of gossiping and drinking, went to the new Slug & Lettuce in Southend (nearly as price as the ones in London! which you wouldnt expect for little old Southend) but still very nice. Ended up getting very drunk in the garden bit they had, then off to carnage some of my old work lot who were out as well in another bar, then I got dragged to the infamous gay pub in Southend called The Cliff, never been before but thoroughly enjoyable and an eye opener  Ended up doing a duet to Rihannas Umbrella with another of our gay mates which we found highly entertaining but probably sounded like a pair of strangled cats.

Shock of the night, one of my ex boyfriends from college (think we "dated" for about a month so nothing that serious), bumped into him in the Slug & Lettuce after getting a random text from a number I didnt recognise. Was only him! And he got married last week in Greece. Could not believe it, made me feel very old for some reason :?
He then proceeded to text me throughout the night saying how he couldnt believe we had met again tonight, always meet at the wrong time and he was kicking himself at meeting me again and being in the wrong situtation :?
Shocked.

Sat - meant to be going Lakeside for holiday bits but as the sun was shining me and my mate who is going Cancun (jealous) decided to hit Southend instead as we could wallow in the sun and shop at the same time. Ended up buying 2 pairs of sunglasses (only cheap ones mind) and 2 bikinis very happy :p
Sat eve stayed in and watched the usual dire stuff on telly.

Sun - enjoyed the sun again, but pretty much lazed about, reading the papers, popped out to the shops etc etc

And found out my car is not running properly am utterly gutted I drive to work you see so really rely on my car.
Am resorted to driving to work in my dads old banger/station runabout, top speed of 50mph :spank: :spank:

fri - not much of anything

sat - slept for Scotland,

booked up out flights and apts for Ibiza in september (don't worry Barbie, not the same time as you this time ) ---------so very excited !!!!!!!!

then went out for a friend of Laura's 30th- drinks in the the abhorrent Tiger Tiger then onto Karbon. Usual shenanigans in there - this week including a girl at 11pm deciding to show every one her pants front and back 8O

sun - shops but bought nothing of note :(

It's amazing but a tad like a cattle market. Find a spot next to the dj booth in the second room and all will be fine - if you can cope with the sexual predators doing mating rituals around you and kids screaming like they're on cduk.

Talking of Fabric, been invited there next week, never been before.............

it's horrible when it's really busy, and there are loads of twats wearing sunglasses, but overall it's not too bad. Luckily it's dark enough to avoid most of the freaks...!

Music on saturdays is techno essentially. Crowd in room 2 is absolutely manic, loved it on saturday
