Weekend Rundowns...

I had a full weekend of Ibiza training, from which the fog has yet to fully lift from my brain

Friday - Met up with a friend in town from the States for a few drinks. Later, checked out a new bar called Simachev (located downstairs from top Russian designer Dima Simachev's boutique :?). I've heard it's normally quite good but that night they were playing dancehall reggae 8O so off to Bar 7 for a bit then over to club Rai for a couple of hours. Next stop was Garage for afterhours. Then a walk home in the morning sunshine (already hot outside) with an ill-advised stop for some MacBreakfast on the way

Saturday - Slept all day aside from an hour or so mid-afternoon. Woke up and took the missus out to dinner at an Uzbek restaurant/lounge call Chaikhona No. 1. Great atmosphere on the terrace with some chill house tunes playing in the background. Then went to meet a mate for drinks and off to the Camel Freemotion/Godskitchen party where Chris Lake (one of my new favorite "DJs I know little about" after a stellar display) was tearing up the floor.:D He was followed by Pete Tong who actually did not clear the dancefloor  Seriously, a good set from the man and a fun night as I ran into all sorts of random friends. Closed out the night and grabbed a bit of breakfast on the way home.

Sunday - Slept until 5 then made some kung pao chicken and did little else.

Dubfire at Ministry! First night out in 6 months so was a bit out of practice, but had a good boogie in there. Thought Dubfire was really good for the beginning and end of his set but he dipped a bit on the middle. An enjoyable weekend at last for me :Dafter packing in my job, i needed a good one

Friday - Got the train to Galway with the lads, good craic on the train with some beers, arrived in Galway, ive not been there in years, my fav place in Ireland for sure, Galway is best described as a Bohemian city but there is still plenty of partying to be done, we checked into our hotel and went straight on the beer, went to the football, our local team Bohemians FC beat Galway United 1-0, wasn't a great game but how and ever we won.

Back to the hotel and back out after a quick change, met some cool people from Manchester, Australia, Denmark and USA all on holiday in Galway, i love meeting new people from different places and hearing different stories being a social butterfly that i can be at times.

Saturday-Woke up hungover and checked out of the hotel, straight to the pub for a fry up and another pint  after a while the beers were flowing again, the Scottish Cup Final was on, wasn't a great game at all but like the FA Cup Final but we won it towards the end, to complete the double in what has been overall a very good season for Celtic.

Got the train back

Sunday - Recovery, went to the new gym ive joined, had a workout, sauna and jacuzzi and felt great afterwards.

Good weekend was had, bank holiday coming up next weekend should be even better.:)

PS-Wish me luck a job interview today @ 4pm, didn't take me long to get one eh;)

Its been a marathon 3 nights on the trott, feeling it!!

Thursday, was having a pint in the White Horse with a couple of pals, and before i knew it was in a cab heading up West to a night called Kareoke Rock Star, where basically you sing a tune with a full rock band behind you, hilarous!! Hammered!!

Friday, Dave Vega's Russell Club, hammered!!

Saturday, went with Mark Knight who was headling a UCL Ball with Paul Harris & Chesney Hawkes, then went down to Ministry for Dubfire, who was good, then Mark Knight who was excellent!!

Sunday, very little, somewhsat Jaded, and lost my voice!!

The weather sucks!!

sun; even more general moping about

mon: hobbling trying to pack for tonights flight 8O

(buckley are you on our flight??8O lgw ba?)

Sat - up bright and early :? :spank:  determined not to miss a minute of shopping.....footy at the Bernabeu......dinner.....

Sun - lie-in, F1 on the telly, speeding ticket on the way home from an unmarked Guardia Civil....2 points and 140€ :x :spank: :(

Fri - Tom cooked, nice early night.

Sat/Sun - up early to go into town for a MAC makeover - OMG it is just the best thing ever, in fact I need to devote a new thread to it  I want a makeover everyday  At night we headed to Elephant & Castle to meet Ferd and his Barry to watch the big game (I really think the title is going to be decided on the 16th  ). Met the rest of the gang and got into Ministry about 11.30 - Cedric thingy who was pretty good, then Dubfire who was just fab - I know he's the C lister out the partnership but the last couple of times I've seen him he's been blinding :D Mark Knight finished the night off, then back to ours with Jon and Bec with the plan to go straight to bed (like that what going to happen   ), managed to be quite restraint tho and got a couple of hours kip in the afteroon before getting up and getting back on the wine with Big Head who'd come round as someone had a spare Pet Shop Boys ticket. Met everyone in Hammersmith, by which time we were all pretty OOC   Pet Shop Boys were just AMAZING - the best live band I have ever ever seen (so good that I ended up buying 2 tickets for tomorrow night in a drunken haze yesterday  ). They played all their classics, all the old stuff, some stuff from the latest album. Somehow a civilised concert turned into a Lucozade and Katie fest with everyone back at ours, finally got to bed at about 6am Monday morning.

Mon - Few hours sleep and then pub for the Play-Off Final.

Don't worry, your spanish guests and your photographer won't run away to watch the game cos that weekend all games will be on sunday :D
Looks like a lot of people are going to go missing from We Love for a couple of hours on the 17th :D

Wow - I think I've just had the most interesting and varied weekend of my entire life! 8O

Friday - surrealists ball at the V&A. I'm embarrassed to say I'd never been to this building before . It was great - loads of bizarre djs, a great crowd dressed up to the nines in 20s gear, dancing lobsters on the forecourt, a surrealist raffle held by a bunch of nutters and loads of friendly faces (including lots of tg regulars!) Loved it - these evening art gallery sessions come highly recommended. Kylie's exhibition was surprisingly good too.

Saturday - mind, body, spirit exhibition...went to catch one of my fave authors Gill Edwards give a lecture. She didn't disappoint because four hours later and I was still on the edge of my seat not wanting her to finish.

pm - caught up with Brighton mates in Pool bar on curtain rd...then squeezed myself into a pair of rubber shorts and went to a fetish club.

Sunday - went to Brick Lane, drank coffee, hang out with the Pilchard and then went to the toilet for a night called 'wet yourself'. Great music, but like anti social it was full of kids experimenting with fashion irony...only the real irony was that there wasn't a hint of irony in what they were doing.

Monday - BASTARD BATTY BASS - I just love this night so much. It's my fave thing happening in London at the mo. Fantastic bands, great djs and MC Chickaboo on the mic from my raver days. They had a drum n bass moment (31 seconds), played dirty cash and played some excellent rave classics before some fantastic electro. Fun, fun, fun - and I got through five pairs of knickers.

Aaaah - what a weekend. 8)

Brilliant weekend!

Friday: Didn't get up to anything, had an early night and as much sleep as possible

Saturday: Caught the bus to london in order to ibiza shop until I dropped. Highly successful shopping trip, very pleased with all my purchases :D
In the evening stayed at a friends with the plan to...

Sunday: ...wake up at 6am and go to the toilet, which I succeeded at, amazingly. Plenty of fun avoiding the leaking ceiling. Afterwards got changed, went for a pitstop at t-bar before heading to mulletover at around 2pm. Mulletover was brilliant, great sets from everyone especially Ivan Smaggue who is someone I'll have to catch again. Left at midnight to make my way to the end for circo loco which was good too, but not the best I'd been to. Don't think I'll bother again as it's overpriced for what it is. Weird crowd in there, not sure which gutter a lot of them crawled out from :?. Left at 7.30 when it seemed like it might never stop.

Monday: Few hours kip before heading off for lunch at hoxton bar and grill and then onto bastard batty bass with was brilliant. Highlights included mustaches drawn on everyone and the man who took his trousers off so he could remove his y-fronts and throw them at the lead singer of one of the bands. Think I died laughing at that point.
