this has been such a nice weekend!

friday - erm...i know, this man doesn't get much love on this board here, but still, we went to see tijs verwest, better known as tiesto. we hadn't seen him for almost two years and as he was playing in a small club only half an hour away from where i live, we thought we should take the opportunity. you know, even though i don't listen to trance that much anymore (compared to "back in the days"), i still love it. and natascha and i both loved his set. three hours of pure trance bliss. of course he played a lot of his own new tracks, but he also played some classics and he played some new remixes of old tracks, rui da silva's "touch me", for example, or - even better - felix' "don't you want me". yoohooo!

saturday - not much to report

sunday - summer in switzerland! (well, already since thursday, but the first day i could enjoy it) temperatures were easily over 25°c and we went to the rivershore and even swam in our beloved river...i never had swum in that river that early in the year!!! 8O after such a mild winter we had here (with little snow), now it's really already like summer here - i guess we really should be global warming ready!!!
later (well, only a few hours ago) i went doing my 12K run and i loved it. everything is in blossom here right now and running through the fields and woods is just superb!

have a good week start everyone! ;)

A nice weekend indeed, Stivi.

I spent the past couple of days battling jetlag from the 9-hour time difference of the trip I returned from on Thursday.

Friday - Went to the gallery opening of a photography exhibit by Francois-Marie Banier. Got introducted to the artist himself, who proceeded to mistake me for his new boy toy until Irina walked up  Afterwards, we fought for a table at one of the city's new "it" restaurants, Nedalny Vostok, and had dinner with the beautiful people. Fought to stay awake towards the end and passed out immediately when we got home.

Saturday - Woke up far too early. Caught up on Lost and South Park episodes missed over the past 2 weeks. Fell asleep again in the evening and woke up just in time to make it over to Propaganda's 10th birthday party where Dennis Ferrer played a wonderful set of uplifting house :D :D Went to Mix's 7th birthday party in the morning, where all of the city's top techo DJs and visiting DJ Luke were taking turns on the decks. Later, wandered over to Starlite Diner for lunch, only to be frightened by all the American expats taking their kids out to Sunday brunch. 8O

Sunday - Fought to stay awake all day, coupled with a rare but raging hangover. Watched Chelsea confirm a trip to Wembley (going to book my plane tickets today! :D)

Oh God - I love the sunshine! 8)

I've been so sensible this weekend:

Friday - late night shopping at tescos in preparation for...

Saturday - Kew Gardens! Why has no one told me about this place before? It's amazing! 8O

Kew_Gardens_-_July_2005_124.jpg

Had a posh picnic on the lawn, champagne & cheese by the lake 8O, fed the ducks, looked at plants from all over the world and climbed a few trees at sundown.
God I've missed being out in nature.

Sunday - Got up early because Pilchard had a screening launch thingy to go to at London zoo so we went there and got into the zoo for free.

I'm not really a zoo person because I hate the whole caged animals thing but it was a nice day out - especially enjoyed the meer cats, hogs and giraffes. :D
After that, went for a really long walk along the canal, visited Camden market and cracked open a late night bottle of vino on the river near London bridge.

I've well and truly fallen in love with this city again (for the trillionth time). Even got my white bits out so I think I've changed colour.

...but was up all night with stomach cramps last night - ate something dodgy at the zoo.

poor weekend all round - beware!!!!!!!!!

friday drinks with the girls in ealing then back to mine... to join the boys for some afterparty action . at this point my bf thought it would be funny to slip me a bzp telling me it was something else.

that combined with lots of vokda lime and soda proceeded to make me the illest i have ever been on saturday....how can these things be legal they are the strongest thing i have ever had the misfortune to take.

saturday mainly being sick no chance to enjoy sunshine

sunday feeling not much better

today feeling rubbish and have interview at 1.00

Fri - my mum and dad were staying with us for a few days so Friday I showed them the sights of FLT eg Primark  Buckingham Palace, picnic in Hyde Park........ My mum bless her, she's so northern  the fact that she could buy a £5.40 Travelcard and travel all day on it was the highlight of her trip, so she insisted on us just jumping on random buses to get the most use out of it   I've seen parts of London that I didn't even know existed  At night went for a yummy meal at the good old Ealing Park Tavern.

Sat - we all went to the garden centre  to buy flowers for the garden - I must be a 'grown-up' now I go to garden centres  In the afternoon Tom the bestest boyfriend in the world had bought me surprise tickets to see Forest play Brentford so we headed to the world famous Griffin Park stadium  had a few wines in the sunshine with the Forest contingent and then watched them destroy  Brentford :D Great afternoon, who needs Premiership football  Back to ours, quick change and wines and then headed to Kings X to meet Ferd and his Barry, Big Head and Bomber Dave  Few wines and then into The Cross, now everybody knows that I am not The Cross's biggest fan but even by its standards it has gone even more downhill and should have a bomb put under it :spank: Think of the biggest gimps, no atmosphere, people milling around chatting on the dancefloor - you get more atmosphere in our lounge after a night out :spank: The only saving grace of the night was 2 hours of Jon Carter stalking who delivered as per normal and was looking so easy on the eye :D Left after Carter and went back to ours with Big Header and Bomber Dave for the usual aftershow madness  Carried on, watched the football and then a huge Gollum sleep :D

Ace weekend but I am NEVER EVER EVER going to The Cross again :spank:

Well its all about the outdoors this weekend - at one with nature. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I basically did the garden, sat in it for a bit, did a bit more gardening, and a bit more sitting - then the neighbour popped over with a bottle of wine so we did less gardening - more drinking....

Decided to go out for a meal on Sat late afternoon - proceeded to get hammered afterwards whilst watching the semi final, came home, fell asleep on the sofa (both of us) woke up at 10.30 with stonking headaches - bed...

Yesterday - more garden stuff - and reading the papers - Phil came home a happy chappy after yesterday's match.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this weather, it almost felt like another bank holiday 8)

Fri - night out with the girlies, we had a Travel Lodge booked worked out to a fiver each as they do some great deals down our way so we had a bit of a party there, stumbled across to some bars, had some very cheap rounds and lots and lots of drink then stumbled into what used to be Ikon at Basildon - BIG mistake the music was diabolic. So to my mates delight - she could not stop laughing - the only way I could make a night of it was to take the P out of everyone on the dance floor who so obviously thought a lot of themselves, so I shook my ass to all the crappy rnb they were playing! Late night Macdonalds after which nearly ended in a row thanks to some gobby blokes thinking it was nice to call ladies the C word:spank:

Sat - didnt feel too bad considering how much I drank, sped home, got changed in the quickest time possible and headed down to Southend to meet my mate, everyone slates Southend seafront but where they have done it up it looked absolutely gorgeous on Sat, some good sunbathing on the grassy bit combined with a quick dash to Primark to get something "summery" to wear to sunbathe in :D
Sat night my parents were away so had the place to myself just relaxed with a nice dinner and Sat night telly. The Grease thing had me in stitches im ashamed to say.

Sun - sunbathed in the garden and went with my mum to buy some nice garden furniture

Lovely chilled weekend, just what I needed!

abit like pups

in the garden all weeekend. had a bbq on sat pm which was extremely nice

btw, rob, we went to kew last weekend. did you see the biggest compost heap in the UK?

Fri - Drove to St Albans to see the Brother and Sister in Law's new place, Thai takeaway and too much wine.
Sat - Back to London Town and a BBQ at my best friends place, 1st one of the year, Yummy.
Sun - Did my window pots up. massive walk in the park, bit of a pub crawl then all back to our garden where we sat and drank until 11pm it was such a warm night!

Friday: I left work later and my bike didn't want to work, so I had to wait for the assistance car to drop me to the garage under the wind and the rain... I managed to get home three hours later I left the office  Stayed in with a massive pizza and a bottle of wine Saturday: Up early cos Pep and I had a very important meeting with my elder nephews (9, 6 and 5) to took them to the amazing Science Museum as our X-mas present (I know, it's april!). We had a great day in the museum playing with all the experiments and walking around the tropical jungle and eating in a restaurant, but once at home we were soooo pleased with the cat who doesn't shout, who doesn't cry, who doesn't stomp and doesn't run  At night we went for dinner at a friends' Sunday: spent the day in my pijamas :D

mines hasnt quite finished yet, currently sitting sipping on a pacifico cerveza

was up san francisco yesterday, sightseeing and shopping, and today we went down to santa cruz, where lost boys was filmed 8)

****ing magic!

after last weeks busy-ness in Paris it was a quiet weekend

fri - curry and a night in front of the TV

sat - did as little as possible, then went for dinner in Tiger Tiger (laura and i won a free meal at a raffle ages ago). went for a drink elsewhere and headed to it. what the woman that took the booking didn;t mention was that there were SEVEN hen nights there - a constant crescendo of noise all night plus crap food and overpriced drink - hell hole

left that place pronto and met with a friend of lauras and her man for drinks - pub closed so tried to get into the bar part of a club i have friends working in - unfortunately the guy on the door that i know was missing so for an extra hour drinking it would take 2 hours in a queue

found another bar for 1 more drink then walked home - managed to flag down a taxi and just as we walked to get in it an old drunk man managed to tumble and smack his napper on the ground, blood pissing everywhere!!! - phone an ambulance for him and the police arrived first so we could leave.

sun - golf followed by nowt much else apart from the weekly groceries (dullsville)

started my new insulin regime sunday night so i am heading for a few weeks of flux until i get the doseage right ------ such fun

Best weekend Ive had in ages! :D And the weather was amazing after it was forecast as poo! :D Yipppeeee!
Fri - few spritzers after work with friends...staggered to the DVD rental place...rented Click (complete sh1te).....cooked dinner for a few of us and all fell asleep on the sofa!

Sat - Up bright and early...supermarket duties with a few bikini / summer shoe pit-stops inbetween. Dont know how I ended up with another 3 new bikinis to my total of 10 new ones or something ridiculous....and I havent even booked a holiday this year yet!
Evening...dinner and drinks in with a few close friends.

Sun - Lie-in, dog walking, car washing, garden centre visiting, Sunday roast eating, F1 watching, siesta-ing, sunbathing, swimming, hot-tubbing :D :D :D .....wanted an early night....but instead went for the longest dinner EVER with my best mate & co. for a "coupley" night out....bed at 2...waaaaay too many mojitos :spank:

Giving something to somebody without telling them what it is really isn't on, hope you had words.

I had quite a bizarre night out on Friday, went to the Stiff Kitten in Belfast, but not because of any interest in what was happening on the night, just because tickets were going on sale for Carl Cox in June, so we queued for maybe half an hour to get in, then for at least as long again to get the tickets - must have been very bizarre for the DJ, playing away and everybody on the dance floor standing in line rather than dancing. Still, mission accomplished, we sat down for a few beverages and ended up dancing away to the Japanese Popstars, who proved to be quite good entertainment in the end. Finished the night being locked out of the bathroom for an hour (before eventually giving up and going to bed) by a puking housemate who had been out independently.

Saturday was the mother in law's birthday, so we went out for Italian food, I had red snapper and it was fantastic. Spent Sunday cleaning while listening to the bastards reach the cup final.

My friends have done that before, I think it would scare me, I am not very good with anything mind altering. BTW you are not allowed to talk about such things on this board ;)
