Weekend Rundowns

went to see an amazing production of A Midsummer Nights Dream at the roundhouse. A magical mix of theatre, circus, dance and acrobatics. the cast are all from india and the play is spoken half in english and half in a mixure of hindi, urdu, sanskrit (!) etc. its great not to have to concentrate on the words:) . really highly recommended

i've stayed there before, it's fine.:D

Fri - went for civilised drinks

Sat - Waxed, facial (not at the same time!) bit of shopping then mooched around house with Dan-X and watched films.

Sun - Sunday roast in my local, relaxed a bit, Gollum arrived so went straight on the wine. Went and saw David Mancuso at the Loft which was great - felt like we were at someones birthday party  . Left at 1am.

Mon - working from home and have woken up to still find people up from last night in my living room 8O

do you get guestlist everywhere morbs??
Sometimes. This week: Fabrique-no, Mix-my friend had a club card, Garage-no, Rai-yes, Circus-no, Dyagilev-no.

In any case, most Moscow clubs don't charge at the door. They do have "face control" though, where a guy stands there and arbitrarily decides whom to let in and whom not to. They make their money on the drinks.

Of the places I went this weekend, only Fabrique and Mix charge at the door, and Fabrique just because they had guest DJs.

fri - work leaving do - worked for them for over 5 years, but no money behind the bar. Nice. Get home for a quick shower and get a call from my mate, who then brings 25 people over to my flat , moderate party ensues, then we all head over to turnmills for Going Places, which was ace :)

sat - Ministry, didn't see Babs but saw Ferd and his laydeee :) Really enjoyed the night, Erick started off with some subliminal classics, which was really fun. Also spent quite a lot of time in the bar listening to Jeanette Slack who was rather good too. All back to mine for afters and got to bed around midday :)

All up a pretty great weekend :)

Excellent weekend 8)

Started off in Clapham, but we had to leave about midnight so friends could pick up tickets for the Ministry. I never bought one..... The queue was HUGE, I asked if I could go in with my friends and pay but they said I had to queue like everyone else.... The prospect of going home alone wasn't very appealing, so **** it, walked behind some ticket holders and got straight in 8)
I was very impressed with MOS, great crowd! Morillo was good but I would have liked some more bleepy music  But still thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I saw Mark Sun but I was in no state to introduce myself

:lo: awww you should have! I wasn't defining myself by sobriety either ;) Agree it was a really friendly, smiley and dancey crowd - not something I'd come to expect from Ministry so was a nice surprise :)
