Weekend Rundowns

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare. 8O I've never liked Ministry anyway. What was going on the Ladies toilets??
Can't say first hand, of course  But I was told that only a few of the stalls were in use. There was always a sizeable queue when I walked by.

Don't get the wrong impression, though, Miss G. Despite security concerns, a few nobs here and there, and variable music quality, it was still a pretty good night :?
(no, really!)

To actually have that returfed is probably not going to cost more than about £50 - £100 in turf.I think the issue really is about sorting out all the sh1t under the grass. It's a common problem particularly on new houses that they have great looking lawns for about a year or 2 then it all starts just dying away as the roots reach the rubble and have used up any nutrients that was in the soil that the turf was laid on.

The reality is hard work of digging out all current grass and earth, putting to one side then removing as much rubble as you can and then put the soil you dug our back mixed with more good top soil and loam and then either reseed of better still turf. I think it might be worth getting soeone to quote you. This time of year landscape and gardening comapnies are always short of work and will readily take on jobs like this much cheaper than they would in the spring and summer peak when everyone want these jobs done.
I know 2 guys with gardening companies who say this time of year is always really slow for them.

HTH:)

cool, i'll look into it then.:D

Fri - Nada...first night chilling since I got back from Brazil

Sat - Early doors for a family wedding....me and my mum tore up the dancefloor at the reception. I was meant to be designated driver but free bar's have always tested my will power so snuggled up nicely for a kip on the back seat humming Holidaaaaay on the way home

Sun - Down to the pub to watch Spurs V Chelsea....disapointing in the end given how close we were. Then went to buy a new kitchen hood after I managed to melt mine last week

Pretty chilled overall

Couple of mates went to Nude and said they were pretty much strip searched by the bouncers....hmmm

All but 4 of the toilets were over flowing so we had to queue for half hour before we got in to use one with the plumbers standing there staring at us.

THEN they closed the whole lot and we had to walk outside, through the security bit and go and use 3 toilets down a little corridor near the gates. That's when i had enough and left soon after. What a joke! :spank:

Sorry to read the comments about MoS security on Saturday

I have called an urgent meeting with our GM and the head of security tomorrow.

We had a security problem a few years ago which we seemed to have sorted. We have not had compaints like this for long time

We have had a load of new door men start recently who obviously need to understand the way we want the club to run

I assure you this is something that we will sort out.

If anyone has anything they want to say on the subject please feel free to email me - psales@ministryofsound.com

Cheers
Phil

Saturday, I had a cracking night at Ministry, Smokin Jo played well, Moby was interesting, StreetLife DJ's in the bar had it rocking, good to see Queen B and Tom, as well as meeting Jinja!! Thankfully no probs with Security, overcooked it somewhat, got messy, was still there when the lights came on, opps!!

Sunday, too early a rise, had to go the the away day at Chelsea! Met in the White Horse, which is just round the corner, sip of a Guiness, 5 minutes later was being sick!! Walked to the game thinking what am i doing here!! Cracking game, a little unlucky not to get a result, but if you'd told me before, we'd get the Champions back to the Lane, I'd have taken it!!

Felt well beaten up today!!

Hmmmmmm - glad I gave Nude a miss!

This weekend I:
bought records, pizza express dinner with friends, played records (at home, not PE, clearly!), drank too much wine, slept, went to the dentist, (am ASTOUNDED at how much fillings are in London), saw The Face of Fashion at the NPG, food with friends, cosy night in, slept, freelance work, tescos, fed the ducks, relaxed, cooked, ate, slept.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D / 10

 All these moaning minnies, I had an ace night too  No security problems, no toilet problems, quality music from start to end, and best of all none of the stupid performers they normally have - ffs I'm in a club not a circus  ;)

i bet most of the other punters thought you were one of those "stupid performers" with your rascal hairdo!

Friday: Had a great night at The Gallery. Askew brilliant as always, I like the new look DJ booth at Turnmills, it means you can actually SEE the DJ!! T3 was very very trancey. enjoyed it for a good 3 hours. Luke Dzierek was a BIG disapointment in T2.
Many surreal moments thanks to my barrry after she got a bit too minxy. "oh i like your hair, its like a rug"

Saturday: Watched the match of the season 8) and then joined the rest of the gang for Moby. Hmmm i seem to disagree with some people, i thought Smoking Jo was very boring, played about 1 good track followd by 4 boring ones, then thankfully moby got the place going. He wasnt groundbreaking but played nice hands in the air tunes that got me up dancing (I was sitting down for all of Smoking Jo's set)

As for secutity and club problems, i didnt find anything worse than normal (but then i didnt have to queue for ages for the ladies queue!)

What time did you leave you lightweight :spank: We couldn't put any Bet Ferd's on cos you weren't around for aftershow antics  ;)
