Fri - me and Tom both had the day off, after a nice relaxing day we headed into town as we had a table booked at The Ivy. The food at The Ivy was as amazing as ever and you can see why it deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants in London Town. After stuffing myself with gnocchi and the yummiest fish, chips and mushies and a couple of bottles of wine and some celeb spotting we then headed up the road to the Aldywch Theatre for Dirty Dancing
Dirty Dancing was everything I expected and more - Baby was excellent and Johnny just oused sex
The 2 and a half hours of the show was definitely the time of my life
Boys take your g/friends and you'll have bs guaranteed for life
Incidentally tho Tom's view on it was that it was 'the biggest pile of $hit he'd ever seen in his life'
After the show finished we then jumped in a taxi and headed up to Turnmills cos I thought Tom deserved some Oakie action after putting up with Dirty Dancing
Got into Turnmills for 11 and met up with lots of the usual suspects - just time for a couple of quick drinks cos the monkey man was playing at midnight. Oakie was absolutely fantastic - a proper Oakie of old set with some classics like Greece 2000 and Somebody like you thrown in along new trance. After Oakie I found the music quite average at Turnmills - your usual proggy dull $hit
We left Turnmills at about 6am and everyone came back to ours. The next 20 hours were complete carnage - there was Lucozades, bank scams
, playgrounds, head weighing
and lots of other things that are best kept inside our 4 walls
Watched some of the cricket and finally got to bed at 3am Sunday morning.
Sunday - For some reason woke up early
so back on the wine, then hit the pub for a massive veggie roast, bloody Marys and vinos and then back to my cave for a massive Gollum-like sleep
