Weekend Rundowns

Babs - I watched this on Sat afternoon whilst phil was screaming at the PC listening to the match - I hated myself for being so shallow and enjoying the film I have to say       some of the outfits were fabulous and enjoyed them slightly more than the film - although I loved Meryl Streep -she was just brilliant in it in fact, I have been perfecting the "looking down my nose whilst lowering my sunglasses look" all weekend....

Morbyd - Darren Emmerson is playing some quality, dark stuff at the moment - he's really doing it for me (musically that is.....);) Went to see him a month or so back at Digital and I was rather impressed at his style it has to be said....
I watched that movie a couple of weeks ago. Streep was fab. Especially loved her acting in the scene where she reveals that her husband wants a divorce... amazing control.

I liked Emerson's set... I thought it was the perfect thing for 4 in the morning (though a slower transition between Junkie XL's more commercial set and Emerson's would have been nice!). The missus wasn't too impressed though... she said it reminded her of some of the less interesting sets we heard in Ibiza this year :?

Fri - Quick drink after work then a queit night in with lots of food!

Sat - Champagne brekkie for hubby's birthday, late pub lunch then went into London to Neighbourhood. Had a few drinks first in the Champion by Notting Hill Gate tube - I love that pub! Neighbourhood was excellent. Timmy Regisford was brilliant as usual, he played all night & I reckon I danced pretty much all night too!

Sun - woke up stupidly early, picked up dog from the grandparents! Went for a lovely Sunday roast & a couple of wines, home & early night!

All in all a great weekend.

Cocoon Frankfurt for me.
Got in at 8pm to the Restaurant, left the club just before 9am, with Hawtin still going strong !
Cue an all day party in the hotel / boozer, which fizzled out at 3:30am Sunday.

and I randomly met Johnny Arthur, who walked past me on the dancefloor !
Cue about 30 double-takes ! Very bizarre to meet someone you know in a foreign club !

it was a good ramdon weekend - friday we had drinks with Raylo, which was a great laugh, thought I could handle a cocktail, then was smashed and en route to the end for lawler...

satruday friends over for curry:)

sunday went upton park, met family which I have not secen in year, and finially got a result:) It will be my last time at upton park this season, so extra gald I went

today my new guys starts, I'm tied, feeling rought as been drinking all weekend and have to show someone my job lol seems nice guy though, but will be endlessly busy for next week showing him my roles

...or the star of such 80's hits as Vice Versa or the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy.

Was out in london for a few on Fri, then down to Brighton Sat & Sun. Was my first week down there to sniff round the new afterparty scene that's amassed since the new licensing laws.

Frankly they've still got a lot to learn, though Sundays in London wasn't exactly built in a day...

Trade sounded good!! being dying to hear some reports of how it went. What time did it finish up at? We were tempted but went to la Troya at Area instead and then stayed on for Ultra......I ended up leaving at 8.30am as I hadnt had one drink (or anything else!) :? all night. It was really good though......but I bet Trade was a lot better.

Got a call from Anthony at 10am as he was leaving Area to say he was on his way home....he then had to hang up as one of our friends who they had lost in the club....was standing in the middle of Vauxhall Cross touching his toes and basically fast asleep 8O .....he was lucky he wasnt killed. I had to get out of bed then and come and pick them up as he was in such a state that they couldnt get him home.

I think it went on till 14h00 ish. Was La Troya any good? These outside promotions make me chuckle because it's often just one International resident followed by the usual Paul Heron, Rob Syes crew isn't it? (Matineee/Space of Sound for example).

Was Baby Marcello there? 8)

...and what is your friend like? 8O

Fri - Went to family friends party in Finchley. Shes just got engaged so was having a little do....was pretty low key and left around 11ish to meet a few friends in town. Ended up at a club nr Carnaby St with some mates dancing till 4ish and then suddenly sobered up, realised I hadnt eaten since 11am and decided to call it a night...good fun though

Sat - Went to my mates family home for lunch where his mum had made the meanest curry...chicken, fish, mutton, shish kebabs, rice, naan, potato and spinach etc etc...was around 15 of us, who needless to say stuffed our faces. Even the girls who are little sticks were going up for 2nds and 3rd. Passed out sometime during X-factor. Woke up around 930 and a few of us decided to go to Mulletover Halloween pty on Clerkenwell Green. Was quality but def needed some pick me ups to stop falling into another food coma!

Sun - Chilled out, went to the gym only to be told I couldnt get in because I had forgotten my mem card. Went home, chilled, watched Ross Kemp on Gangs. Quite disturbing!

I saw adverts for that when I was in London last week and it looked quite interesting.

Coincidentally, St. Louis just got named as the most dangerous city in the US 8O

Yeah doesnt look like the greatest city...

Although I found the episode last week on South Africa and the one the week before on El Salvador to be even more eye opening....guess im just much more aware of the kind of boys in the hood type gang violence in St Louis than whats going on in developing countries where it seems to be another level....some of those gangs in SA and El Salvador made the gangs in St Louis seem like a teddy bears picnic! 8O

He lives! 8O

yeah i got home ok in the end. Slept on the bus home like a good boy, waking up in just the right place to walk home and sleep until work the next day 8)

Was on a training day on monday so wasn't online until the late evening, sorry if any of you were worried
