Another weekend has passed too quickly. Did you remember to change your clocks?
Friday - After work, made dinner and watched the two latest episodes of Lost. Went over to a friend's place for one drink then off to see Underworld in concert.
GREAT SHOW!! They played for 3 hours, and while as a performance it's little more than a DJ, a sound engineer and a vocalist, it was musically top notch. They did a great version of Three Months Off, which is a personal favorite. Stuck around for a bit of DJ Anton Kubikov's set afterwards, then to club Mix for after hours.
Saturday - Got home at 8, slept until 2, got up and ready to go with the missus to the sports bar for Sheffield v Chelsea. Stuck around to watch the Liverpool game (and, on various nearby screens, Man U, Arsenal and Tottenham). Then home to change for a Halloween party - I went as the Crow (easy homemade costume
) and Irina as a French maid.
The Russians do Halloween right. I don't know where else they celebrate the occasion so well... some of the wildest costume parties I've seen anywhere, and this year was no exception. We went to a party held in a slighty spooky abandoned factory headlined by Junkie XL (of Elvis remix fame) and Darren Emerson. Junkie played a very good set of dance tunes while Emerson came on later and launched into some dark progressive stuff.
Back to Mix for afters but only for a couple of hours, then home.
Sunday - Woke up at 3. Made a big pot of spaghetti sauce. Otherwise, basically surfed the net and lazed around all day.
