Fri - went out for lots of drinks with the TCR gang as my last day as part of the TCR gang

Sat - got the 'fro blonded and pinked and went shopping again  Dish came over for pre-Ministry drinks at ours and then we headed to Ministry early. You just knew it was going to be one of those nights when you go in and the first record you hear is Frankie Knuckles - Tears :D Couple of drinks upstairs and then went straight into the Box for CJ Mack. OMG what a night - one exploding moment after another :D Rampling took over DJ duties at 2am and played a 2 hour set of near perfection and he was absolutely loving it behind the decks - jumping round the DJ booth like a mad man, you could he was loving being back up there. Then Steve Angello and Mark Knight played back to back for the remainder of the night - the last hour was one classic after another - Hideaway, Show me Love etc etc etc - one of those night where you can't stop smiling and the poppers can't leave your nose  Good to see all the usual Ministry crew in the house :D Left there at close, back to ours for usual aftershow shenanigans thru-out Sunday.

Friday – Night in with pizza, Rob, Erin & the Pilchard.

Saturday am – Went to Brick Lane for the environmental exhibition in the Truman Brewery - it’s BRILLIANT! Came away feeling really inspired, you must all go (and it’s free).

Pm – Procrastinated for hours about Ministry’s birthday vs Torture Garden…Decided that on the basis that TG are hosting a HUGE bash next month, we’d be better placed at the Ministry. Arrived to the usual worstcrowdintheworld situation but when Danny “out of retirement”:lol: Rampling came on the place really picked up. 8)

He played that reeeally spine tingly ‘Ministry of love’ tune at the start too which was a little bit nice.
Birthday boy Russ was bouncing around on his usual form.
One of the highlights for me had to be when Sar & Tom gave one of the blue men a look of complete disdain and turned their backs on him.:lol::lol:

Erin spent the first part of the evening with her boots off and legs in the air inside a toilet cubicle - allegedly. 8O

Karen clearly had the best baps in the place (besides me of course) in her low cut number (sorry about the lack of guiiii-tar Dave). ;)

…and poppers fairy Rob was his usual hilariously inappropriate self. :p:lol:

Conclusion = Ministry is both brill and AWFUL at the same time – I’d really missed the sound system…don’t like the residents and won’t bother with those stupid blue men again. The crowd is really dubious in places (lots of light sticks, shirts off head bangers, predatory burton boys on the pull and silly sl*gs) but I still love it…oh and it’s great for dressing up games too!

Sunday – Chilled in Victoria Park.

Next week Barcelona - yay!

But you got to spend time with the kids right?

Bugger all for me means big fry ups and ice-creams in the garden and pretending to listen to my housemate moan about her ex

right so i suppose it was good in that way.

bugger all for me means "having a domestic".

well, only just finished up in Ibiza on Thursday am still having too many blank moments to write a review... one of the blank moments being I can't honestly remember my flight from Ibiza to Paris where I am now.

Went out with some friends to see Margaret Dygas on Saturday in some dingy dark club here in Paris but was actually surprisingly quite good!!!

Saturday we went to Brighton to the Honey Club to see Felix Da Housecat. Why are there no decent clubs in Brighton
I have never witnessed such a skanky bunch of people in one room  Felix played for only an hour  The rest of the music was bordering on hard house
Left early and headed back to a friend's house. If it wasn't for going out with such lovely people ;) the night would have been a disaster 8)
Got the train back to London on Sunday, the train was packed, finally we found two spare seats but apparently my boyfriend nudged some twats pint  The twat then started getting shirty with us. Nooooooooooooooo why does this sort of thing happen when you are feeling your most delicate! I couldn't bare putting up with this for the whole journey so stormed off the train in a strop and deliberately pushing past the twat  and hurling some sort of pathetic abuse at him
Sat on the floor at the station awaiting the next train and telling myself never to use public transport EVER again :spank:

Twas my birthday weekend

Fri: Mrs Russ took me to our local 'gastropub', The Engineer. id eaten there before and not been too impressed but this time the food was really, really, really good. Nice company too! finished off with a few drinks in the pub next door to us.

Sat: daytime we went to the London Wetland Centre
http://www.wwt.org.uk/visit/wetlandcentre/

had huge fun looking a ducks, geese and assorted birds thorough my new binoculars. im becoming a proper bill oddie (withough the stupid clothes and raggedy beard) had a great day in the sunshine.

Later it was off to ministry for their/my birthday. Nowehere near as busy as i had feared and the music was top, top notch. Jazzy M in the bar and CJ Mack in the box warmed up brilliantly. Lots of little snatches of old/classic tunes (mrs russ swears she even heard a sample of Ebeneezer Good at one point!) and the first playing of DanX's fave track with the vocal about Electro being the 'new style', which i love too.

I acually quite liked the Blue Man Group's stuff. they did scare the life out of poor Babs though. drums, paint and magic.:)

Old Mother Rampling was, i am ashamed to admit, very, very, very good. Again a perfect of old and new stuff. He really looked as if he's missed playing out and i'd expect to see him doing it again.

It all got more minimal after that and we left at the reasonable hour of 5.30.

Sun: slept, sat in garden, did some shopping and generally chilled.

A lovely weekend.

Saturday we went to Brighton to the Honey Club to see Felix Da Housecat. Why are there no decent clubs in Brighton

I feel your pain there - LOVE Brighton...the people are lovely, the Saturday afternoon atmosphere is brilliant, the shops are fantastic and there's no better place to loaf around reading papers, meeting friends and sipping coffee...but the clubs are w@nk! Particularly the aforementioned Honey Club - full of school kids - urgh.

Friday went to the inauguration of an Irish Pub in the center and then as it was boring to death we then went to a friend's where everything went very wrong and ended leaving at 7am
Saturday recovery all day and watched Barça (3-0)
Sunday it was my friend's birthday do, bbq in the terrace. It was a brilliant day and night, the paddy pool in the terrace was the invention of the year, specially after the green cake. Got home around 1.
Monday: going to the swimmingpool in a bit

You missed out a couple of verys there Russ. ;) He really was brill wan't he? I wish I could bottle that set and take it home for future useage.

I wanted to take him home with me  I did wonder whether he would just turn up, go thru the motions and pocket his big fat cheque but he was LOVING being back up there :D

Then Steve Angello and Mark Knight played back to back for the remainder of the night - the last hour was one classic after another - Hideaway, Show me Love etc

he played that @ creamfields - i was jumping about like a little kid

Friday - The "Last Supper" with the TCR gang as Babs has now left us. Hopefully she'll be back soon ;) Had lots of fun getting drunk in our local pub.

Saturday - Spring cleaned Jon's flat in the morning, then headed out at 3pm to watch the football and for drinks up town.
Stopped off at Flight Centre on the way and booked our tickets for travelling EEEEEEK!!! :D
Had a table booked at Daphne's at 9pm for our 6 year anniversary! The restaurant itself was beautiful, lovely setting and good service. I think I just ordered the wrong meal :( I'm not a massive fish fan and I ordered sea bass, thinking it would be like I'd had it in the past... grilled and without skin and bone! Anyway it arrived in this little package and I was like :? "what the hell is this". Then the waiter rips it open and there's this slimy grey fish skin inside!! It was basically steamed fish with the skin on 8O That kinda thing makes me a bit squeamish so I wasn't that thrilled with the thought of eating it  however I did force it down me and it didnt taste that bad, I'm just not that used to fish so was a bit apprehensive about it :spank:  I guess I just need to brush up my culinary skills and get used to eating this fancy stuff!!

Whats that saying.... you can take the girl out of Watford ... etc etc lol

Sunday - Went out for a carvery with Jon and friends, drove home, put my life on Ebay to make some money 8O

…and poppers fairy Rob was his usual hilariously inappropriate self. :p:lol:

Thanks ;)

My weekend has been discribed above

Friday: Round to Robders for drinks

Sat: Ministry which I enjoyed a lot. It was a lot of fun seeing the usual reprobates

Really enjoyed the last hour or so of classics

Erin spent the first part of the evening with her boots off and legs in the air inside a toilet cubicle - allegedly. 8O

OMG you can really interpret this as being something else! I did have Rob's socks on as most people found out later on, on the dance floor :D And somebody pls shoot me if i ever wear boots again!
