Weekend Rundowns

hello mate

I heard jeff mills blew sonar into orbit a few weeks ago. Infact, I have heard from about 3 different sources that his set was the best throughout the festival.

Did you know Jeff Mills are Laurent Garnier are both playing lost, together, on the same night. It is on August 27 which seems to be a very fun packed weekend... very tempting

jeff mills comes every year to Sonar he is not my cup of tea but he usually bombs the place. I remember him with the three decks and the brazilian girls dancing in the stage, and later on we found mills in the fair atractions and we spent about one hour trying to knock him with our "autos de choque". Ah memories, that was in 97

ferd, he plays in Pachá Barcelona next weekend

....... just finished typing a long review of what was an excellent weekend - the f***ing pc crashed........ cant be arsed to type it all again....

Brilliant weekend, Fantastic Fri night at a friend's 40th birthday party married only by the fact that on leaving, we found a guy stabbed in the street, and having a massive asthma attack and had to call the police and an ambulance.... horrific......

Thats it King Unique  Whats King Roc? I am not sure if it was a launch night. There was even a point in the night where I had to ask where I was because I forgot

 King Roc is another DJ artist (not sure if its two or just one person).. dont worry ive got those two confused loads of times ;)

Sounds like it was good night if you werent sure where you were!!

Friday - Saw Derrick Carter at the key - and what a blessing it was to see such a technical genius in a small venue. 8O
Despite playing wicked music, the guy can reeeeally mix! He was doing the most bizarre things with vocal tracks and old skool rifts etc.
I just COULD NOT so much as peel myself off the dance floor - it's not often you get locked into a set like that so it was an absolute privilege to be there. :D

Saturday - Fell asleep in Victoria Park all day - was lovely.
pm - went to a 'sunglasses party' do thingy which was brilliant fun. Loads of old friends and LOTS of mischief. I forgot how badly behaved we can all be actually - bit worried about the remainder of summer because it always escalates round about this time of year. :? 8O

Sunday - Went shopping for a home cinema system and came back with a cuckoo clock with a cow in it that pops out and moos on the hour.
Missed Secretsundaze and VERY cross about it - had a funeral on Monday (which was very sad. :()

copyright grego

If there's not one thing I hate more about drug takers, is that a) they're boring, and b) they use words like "regretamine". Usually complete with a millisecind pause after you say it as you expect people gasp in awe at your amazing word, only everyone really thinks it's rather sad, and moronic the way you've used a contrived, comlpicated 4 sylable word that could much better be described with one letter.

a) It is not copy right grego. even if it was, shirley people don't genuinely still say "Yeah, I made that up the other day".

You didn't make it up, loads of young working professionals, playing faux-boho-dohertys (this season) in shoreditch bandy it around to show their mates how they do, like LOADS, of drugs.

Have a word with yourself. And let this be the moment you've seen the error of your ways.

Thank you.

 go on then grego, go and sit on the naughty step

 @ dan x - lighten up mate, just because grego says one thing that puts him in your loathed shoreditch category of humans, doesn't mean he fits the stereotype you've made for them.

Sorry, I thnk you got me confused, I'm not saying he is one of the stereotype, I'm just saying it's a twattish word to use (complete with trademark exaggeration).

You'll understand when you're older.

Stop me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I like shoreditch.

a) shame dan cos i thought you got sarcasm (cos yeah, you're right, i was being exactly like you described in "b)" and waiting for a gasp from everyone.............    yawn yawn
b) once again you're right, i think i actually did make it up, yes i invented it...........or maybe it was a a bit of light hearted banter between the only two people who would understand the humour in that particular joke.
c) i'll let you off for my a) and b) cos you were unaware of the context in which the word was said.
d) if there is one thing i love taking the pi$$ out of more than "young working professionals, playing faux-boho-dohertys (this season) in shoreditch", it is myself, so thankyou, you have given me some ammo if i'm ever in the unlikely context in which you mistakenly thought i was.
e) sorry a correction to d), the one thing i love taking the pi$$ about more than both those described in d) is people who make a twat of themselves by making an irrelevant point when they haven't got a clue whats going on or why something was said
f) VIVA X-AMOUNT!!

light hearted banter

So you have the monopoly on light-hearted banter?!

Look, calm down, you know what I'm like.

This is just Dan's unique way of saying he doesn't like he use of that word, and you shouldn't either.

Jeez, and I'm the one doing you a favour...
