Friday: Drinks after work and then we headed out to Love Bar for my friends house night there which was a lot of fun as usual. Attempted to get back to bed by 2am but then had a delivery and ended up back in town carrying on until mid morning

Saturday: Woke up on my friends floor, spent 3 hrs looking for my keys   , eventually decided to go out and get videos rather than go home, watched howls moving castle which was lovely, had a few beers and then got a taxi home quite early.

Sunday: GOt up at midday and headed down to the pub on the river in preparation for the Slide boat party, had a couple of drinks and then on the boat at 2 - was as usual absolutely brilliant, it's the slide regulars that all go meaning an absolutely lovely bunch of people. Off the boat at 8 and then straight on to the after party which finally ended at 3am (although we didn't want it to  )

Monday: Slept all day, up in time for dinner and BB. Anyone else see Rebecca Loos get slated by Sharon Osborne on CelebXfactor? Very funny indeed, but i did feel sorry for the poor woman

Yeah see it. It was a bit bad. I can’t stand that girl tho. she’s on that show calling herself a celebrity but she’s only famous because she shagged with someone else’s husband. They were just awful tho. I’m surprised they stayed last night.

I'm glad Sharon cained Rebecca Loos.... she's just a dirty old trollop with a face like a fish and a dodgy boob job! How anyone can try and make themselves a celebrity because she slept with someone's elses husband and father of their kids. She should be ashamed of herself.

The next few hours all blend into one
8OGlad it wasn't just me then8O

I too went to HIFI South.
Met up with Ferd,Barbie,Tom et al at a very nice quiet winchester pub then into the taxi for a 30 minute shortcut route which should have taken about 5 mins:?:

After the initial traumatism of the toilets it all went very well and I had a fantastic time.
Personally although I've been to other festivals they have always been more bands with maybe one dance tent so to have the choice of about 5 was excellent.
I can honestly say that I didn't hear one duff set from any of the DJ's.
I thought Jon Carter was excellent and a shame he was on so early as he could have been even better with a full tent atmosphere.
The set of the night for me was Steve Lawler, a slightly slow build but then this -

The night finished with a powercut:!:

Most confusing part of the night was 5 of us looking at eachother dumbstruck when asked to show our wristbands to get out, after a delayed reaction it became clear to none of us but to the security that we weren't infact campers and were at the completely wrong exit:lol:

The killer for me was waiting an hour and a half for the bus on my own in the cold and then the magical mystery tour home via rail replacement buses and then train.
Plus feel like some is repeatedly driving a steamroller over me today:roll:

Anyway it was all worth it and for me a great experience.

Interesting that some over on the HIFI board are slating the event???

Pictures to follow once I get rid of all the red eyes from them!!

Hifi was brilliant, and better than the two times ive been to Global.
(maybe because the tents are much closer together and it doesnt take 40 mins to go from one tent to another like it does at Global)

Like Copperband and Babs say every dj was outstanding. From Carter to sander to Oakie to Lawler to 2ManyDjs. Id probably agree with Copperband and say that Lawler just pipped it for me, but it was close. (anyone know the tune that copperband has a clip of?)

Very nice to meet you onemore 8) , and thanks to Barbie for the usual afters, your new house looks fantastic.

Please can we avoid posting up too many pictures from sunday

discovery of the day was that silver aftershock! went down a treat!!

It was a discovery for me too!!

im still laughing at the fact Babs has probably done serious damage to her toe and its taken 48 hours for her to realise. It makes up for the fact I lost my shades down the hifi toilet, the toilet that was quite literally just a s**t-hole 8O
