... I'll start.....

Faff All!!!

Housewife duties, cooking, gardening, shopping,

..... end of......

Oh and watched two sh1t films..... The Libertine and Night Watch - do not watch - 5 hours of your life you wont get back!!

(actually enjoyed being sensible for all of about 2.5 hours....:?   roll on next debaucherous bank holiday!!!)

Fri - few wines and out to eat in the sunshine - I LOVE London in Summer 8)

Sat - packed the rest of our stuff up in boxes, then in the evening Tom drove over to Primrose Hill (after his last Magners binge he's off alcohol  ) where we met up with Silvia and lots of other Spotlight peeps. Lovely to catch up with everyone in a 'normal' environment  ;) Good food, good company, good wine :D At last orders we took a walk up Primrose Hill and had amazing views across London by night. Had a few nightcaps back at Russ's fancy pad ;)

Sun - nice lie in with the tabloids, then went out buying paint, stuff for the garden and then we had to go to Currys so Tom could buy his big fancy new TV (how boring are these shops  ). Watched the final day of football ( @Tottenham) and finished packing.

Friday - few drinks after work, then met Jon and headed home for a dvd and a curry. Lovely chilled night :)

Saturday - our weekly walk up to Walthamstow. Such a lovely day, browsed the market, sat and watched Jon eat his disgusting pie and mash  then headed home. Quick disco nap then woke up and got the tube up to Primrose Hill for the Spotlight meeting.
Lovely to meet Sil at last :D . Had such a funny night, what was supposed to be a few quiet drinks soon turned into a B52 fest thanks to Ferd who was trying to get everyone else as drunk as he was  Left to catch the last train home, funny night

Sunday - woke up with a hangover (Thanks Ferd :x ) then droppped Jon off at the station as he was watching West Ham v Spurs. Drove home and popped into town for some retail therapy. Bought some fab shoes :D (cant find them on Faith website though AGAIN!) Had a yummy Sheperds pie (beef ;) ) then a nice early night.

Friday: Went out for a few drinks with work, ended up being quite a few drinks, then I finally ended up hanging out with a bunch of JCR presidents 8O as my housemate is student union president. Got shouted at by a bar girl for lighting up a fag in her non-smoking bar 'MY HEALTH! MY HEALTH' :x

Saturday: up early to get ready for graduation. Met my parents at my college at around 12.30, collected my super big graduands gown with wings attached to the arms  and then had lunch in my college hall, which was very nice. Then my parents went off to the sheldonian theatre to wait for us lot to turn up in an hours time (we had to be given instructions of when to bow and when to say the latin bit 'do fidem'). Ceremony was all lovely and very oxford, 100% in latin apart from a bloke at the beginning explaining what it was all about and then another bloke whispering instructions to us as we didn't really have a clue what to do, when to bow and who to etc.

Then out for drinks with other graduates and got far too drunk.

Sunday: woke up very late, went for macdonalds because I felt SO rough, then watched lost repeats on c4 and that pretty much was my day

friday: spent most of the day walking around London and shopping.
Saturday: did the touristic bus and then kept walking and shopping. On the evening, and after 20 minutes lost and confused trying to find my way to that pub  , I managed to meet all the spotlighters. Such a nice great night that I'm still smiling
Sunday: Got lost (again   ) trying to find Spitafields market, had a fantastic roast at the big chill (robder, I did finish with it and I had a chocolate ice cream as a dessert   ) explored propertly the Spitafields market, bought the nicest summer skirt ever and get to the airport where we had a fantastic delay of 1,40 minutes :?

It hasnt quite kicked in in Newcastle yet, but I'm kind of hoping when it does it will lead to me stopping smoking to be honest....... I will throw my dummy out of the pram no doubt when someone kicks off about it the first time (but secretly.......   )

Fri: Round to my bro's girlfriends house for some drinks. It quickly turned into a night of sheer carnage! Went to a club but I'm not sure what one, but the music was spot on.

Sat: Next thing I know its Saturday afternoon and we're all sitting out in park with drinks all pulling very wrong faces8O :? Must have carried on going, then the next thing I know we're all sitting out in a beer garden sculling more drinks and naughtiness8O Last memory is being quietly escorted out of a club around 3am by my mate Marie, who then must have taken me home.

Sun: Worst hangover/comedown ever, spent all day being sick and dying

Mon: Still as bad as yesterday...I'm off that scene:? :?

Until next time ;)

Was thinking about you at the weekend, met a couple of lovely Aberdeen lads on Saturday night out in town :p

sat:
Circle line pub crawl to begin with, then ended up with Sil and company in Chalk farm area. The less said about that night the better

Sun: Saw the footy in between being sick. Was sad to see Totenham lose 4th spot. Was sick all day and night, until about 9pm.

It will make a difference. The no smoking rule has been here in Dublin for some time now.

It's great getting home at the end of the night and your clothes don't smell like an ashtray!

God my house stunk last BH weekend after the bars/clubs/late night/early morning shennanigans back at ours - I think I had every window open in the house all week, day and night just to get the smoke haze out..... I am seriously thinking of banning smoking in our next house - or at least have one room fully A/Cd for smoking in........

The smoking ban came into effect up here just over a month ago, and I set that as my date to try and stop. Unfortunately...it didnt work! I'm far more addicted than I first thought:evil:

Also, its turned into a sociable thing up here:? There are about 50% more beer gardens and outside terraces, and there's always good banter out the front of the clubs.

The biggest thing everyone up here has noticed though is how bad the clubs/bars smell!! The smell of smoke has gone, and now they all just smell of BO and urine:?

Glad I´m not the only boring home owner on here!

My weekend consisted of....

Fri: Dinner at mine with a few friends and a movie....fell asleep on the sofa as usual!

Sat: Spent the whole day cleaning, painting and general house crap (mother alert - she arrives tomorrow and my house is in a right proper state!).....went shopping quickly...bought a microwave and a dish drainer (how grown up I feel!). Dinner with friends at the best Sushi restaurant ever. Waaaaay too much saki soooo...home fairly early...watched a movie.

Sun: Up bright and early and to the garden centre (so much crap and interesting things you can buy in these places)....had great pleasure in buying my terracotta pots (which I have painted red with little white spots on - very Cath Kidston!), lots of lovely geraniums, jasmine and busy-lizzies, two sun loungers (took me longer to decide on these than buying my bed:lol:) and lots of puppy toys! Home to plant everything up.... Watched the Grand Prix....had a huge siesta on my new sun lounger. Out for a few drinks in the evening with friends on the beach. ;)

I was at the Irish Cup Final on Saturday, it was a pretty good game for part timers and a cracking atmosphere (Glentoran 1 Linfield 2 if anyone is interested). Took it easy in the evening though because I was going out for a cycle on Sunday, reckon we did about 18 miles so not bad going. No clubbing this week but have to give a shout to Buckley for an excellent set the previous weekend, saw him at the Basement in Belfast for an acid house special and it was truly rocking.

Fri: went to a leaving party for a friend who is off to Oz to live (he's met a girl who is a) a right babe and b) her dad is loaded) it all turned a bit messy and i rolled in very 8O 8O at 6am to a very:evil: mrs russ. the party was enormous fun though.

Sat:went to view a flat which was just round the corner to where the party the night before was and bumped into some very very very 8O 8O friends who were still partying. cue much  from mrs russ.

sat eve, see posts passim

Spent the weekend in London 8) I love that city, think I might have to move in there for some time.

Saturday night I popped by the pub where the spotlight meeting was held, it was nice to meet you Silvia! :D And Ferd :)
The others didn't really give a toss so me and my friend moved on to Turnmills where we caught up with Chewie :D
Soooo much fun was had, that really was the best night I've ever had in London! Good music, fantastic crowd, spent all night with a bunch of really, really nice and friendly Brits. Super night! 8)

Sunday was spent in bed, at night we crawled out to have some Thai food, then bed again and flew out the next morning. Still feeling really rough, but I guess that's a small price to pay for such an excellent weekend!
