Weekend Rundowns...

I agree with grego.

As robder said once I'm a posh b____ really into design and minimalism and that stuff :oops: but I do think that ikea rules, specially for every day items like dishes, glasses, kitchen stuff and this kind of thing

me too... don't like ikea for big items though, but for lighting, kitchen stuff and decorative items such as vases/mirrors etc i think it's fab and very affordable!

my dad's girlfriend bought her kitchen there and it looks fantastic. Granted, it was just a plain white one which goes in her ultraminimalist flat with the expensive swedish furniture and artwork and she replaced the top surface with black glass, but I think Ikea can fit very well into more expensive stuff without being obvious/horrible.

IKEA rules. Agree with all about their simple items (everyday plates & bowls, random kitchen items, etc.) but also rate their basic furniture like bookshelves. I've got 3 (2 for books, one for CDs), plus a smaller cd/dvd shelf unit and a drawer unit for the desk. Simple, basic, but perfect if you're renting and don't want to splurge on more serious furniture. At a total cost of about $200, that furniture will probably stay behind whenever I move and that doesn't bother me one bit.
