Weekend Rundowns

Wow - no one else started this yet???

Fri: resisted all urges to "phone a friend", decided to cook a wholesome meal for me and Mr PL - Chicken Casserole, seasonal veg and hot crusty bread, washed down with a bottle of wine....

Sat: shopping all day - managed to get a parking ticket, why or why do I just dump the car instead of finding a designated parking space :spank: this must be ticket no 5 in the past 12 months or so!! Came home to a distraught Mr PL who was panicking over the Milwall Everton match so stayed out of his way and cooked more wholesome food.... this time Spaghetti Bolognaise and Lasagne's for the freezer (why do I seem to turn into my mother during these "on the wagon" moments..8O its quite scary!!) But I have to say my culinary efforts were much appreciated and a big fat lazy night was had by the pups...

Sun: More cooking - a massive Sunday lunch with all the trimmings whilst the boys did computer stuff then we all watched the cracking Burton Albion vs Man U match - what a game!!!!!!

I have realised that when I am being good I overcompensate for the bad times by turning into a whirlwind of housewifely duties.....8O :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Didn't spend a penny, and didn't go out at all apart from on sunday to bluewater for a wander.

Was great.
 
Fri - went round to Jamies after work to pick up straighteners/Gollum mug/pink champagne glasses that I'd left there after New Year, decided that as a reward for getting thru the week we would treat ourselves to a large g and t. After 4 days without alcohol it tasted sooooo good so we then proceeded to drink Jamie's flat dry of all alcohol ready for our enforced stint in rehab that was starting the following day :lol: Tom came over, had a Chinese, smoked my last cigarette :? and a relatively early night in preparation for starting detox/rehab on Saturday 8O

Rest of the wkend was taken up with long lie-ins, watching FA Cup games (bless little Nigel and Burton Albion :lol: ), shopping, feng sui-ing my wardrobe :lol: making Barcelona lists and detoxing.
 
Friday: Went out to Broad Street for a couple of drinks and to finish off the white stuff before our new health kick starts. Met up with a friend that dj's at one of the bars so ended up staying there the night with him because Joey got to play too. After some face licking from the guys 8O we called it a night and said goodbye to our friend and went to bed at around 3am so not really a late one.

Saturday: Slobbed around all day, watched some friends DVD's and some family guy and then at around 6pm went over to my moms.

Sunday: Got up around 10.30am and went to get our healthy food shopping in. Had a healthy lunch of chicken and root mash and watched more dvd's all day.
 
Fri: ??

Sat: Gym, haircut then some friends came to ours in the evening. Despite our best efforts, all of us failed to get pissed, but had a good night anyhow.

Sun: Got up late, very intense cardio session in gym 8O , did big food shop, came home drank some wine, fell asleep, ate then hit the sack.

Quite a sensible one really.

Thurday: we were supposed to have friends around for dinner, after spending all the afternoon cooking they phoned up saying they were ill. Instead of it we went to see barça basketaball game, had dinner in our fav mexican and few drinks around Gracia
Friday: bank holiday. Last family marathon of the X-mas season, big meal at my mom's and then presents at my cousing.
Saturday: did lots of home stuff, home shopping, invited my mom at home for lunch and spent the rest of the day in the sofa doing nothing and on the evening watching 15 victory in a row from Barça
Sunday: My best friends came around for our traditional X-Mas meal and presents. Lots of food, drinks and smokes. Great day
 
Friday: went to the pub with workmates and then headed back to mine with a friend for some drinks and telly watching as we planned to do nothing that night. Plans went wrong :? quite quickly, when I got a call at about 11pm inviting me to a party. Headed over to this party which was absolutely rubbish as no-one was there, despite it being about midnight by now. They'd obviously made a bit of an effort and no-one had turned up, so felt a bit sorry for them. Music was good though.

Then our resident taxi-driver slash delivery man (you can see how plans go wrong without you really meaning it...:oops: :oops: :lol: :lol: ) turned up who took us and some other friends at the party to oxford's premier gay night :lol: :lol: where we stayed until about 3am. Music was a lot better than usual but the patrons were the usual bunch of scrubbers and their aunties. Purchased more fun stuff and then headed back to a friends for a bit of a carry on. Carry on consisted of playing trivial pursuit :lol: :lol: which I was rubbish at, my general knowledge is shocking!! Finally got to bed at about 6am

Sat: woke up incredibly hungover. Watched celebrity BB on E4 until it was time to go and see brokeback mountain. Wept. Went home and ate food and watched telly and smoked fags. Went to bed quite early.

Sunday: tidied my room, dyed my new sales purchases pink by mistake :evil: :evil: :evil: , tried to bleach them back - didn't work, ate food, cleaned sink, washed more clothes, watched invasion, fell in love with the main guy in it, went to bed

all in all a nice weekend 8) but not really good at this detoxing lark

Am I right in saying this actor played Cole in Channel 5 classic "Sunset Beach"?? He is rather cute - lovely dimples. :p
 
Fri - played a little gig at Essence, going b2b with Mr Scoobie, was great fun and all piled back to mine afterwards

Sat - slept most of the day then dinner at a turkish restaurant in dulwich, then over to cafe cairo in brixton for another little gig, played a set of early 90s hip hop, what fun :))

Sun - watched 'Once upon a time in America', a 4 hour ganster flick, whilst TCMS studied. Then off to a big chinese food buffet in Angel followed by Narnia at the cinema, really enjoyable film :)
 
fri:a quick drink at mark sun's gig ended with me staggering out of his flat at 3am. great fun and great music. plans for a quiet jan end with me falling at the first hurdle.

sat: long lie in, haircut and mrs russ and i took to the sofa and watched the entire series of that bbc pride and predujice froma few years back. grrrrrreat

sun: annother long lie in, mrs russ baked whilst i pottered in the garden. went to hampsted heath and saw a pair of kestrels. wicked. squelched through the mud for a few hours and came home cold and happy

he is cute, but then in episode 2 he had a naked shower and that's when I fell in love...

Everyone brace yourselves. I actually stayed in (mostly) this weekend 8O 8O 8O

That's coming, of course, from someone who never makes a pretext of trying to save money or detox myself. While I did just blow a lot of cash on vacation, I think it was more because there wasn't much interesting going on this weekend.

Friday - the missus and I got back from Amsterdam. Great trip! :D Got home, made some dinner, etc.

Saturday - Laid around the house. Did a massive grocery shopping trip. Ventured out to the sports bar at 12:30 to watch American Football playoffs. Ended up being given several free beers which meant I came home a bit rough early Sunday morning, and passed out. Nasty little cold I've picked up had me coughing half the night.

Sunday - Did nothing constructive until evening when I made dinner and watched "Crash" and "Wedding Crashers". Stayed up to watch the replay of Chelsea v. Huddersfield at 3am on Chelsea-TV.

Monday - Bank holiday (for Christmas, which was Saturday). Laying around the house again but probably going out this evening to meet some fellow recent holiday returnees to swap stories over drinks.
 
More or less the same as everyone else. Lots of staying in.

Saw Brokeback Mountain, nice moving film.

Bought the Hard Fi album, which is actually really good. Rarelty venture into non-dance albums but im glad I got this.

Naddyz - I didn't watch episode 2...I'll have to see if there's a repeat on so I can catch that shower scene.:lol:
 
My first weekend of staying in in about a year8O :D

Had ben out last Wednesday, and it completely finished me off....12 nights out out of 14 killed me;) :p

So, worked all day Saturday and Sunday, and did nothing in the evenings.

Much needed8)
 
Friday night early to bed then crammed all my household duties into Saturday Morning

Saturday midday - new cd burnt. Aiiiyyythankyeeeow then Luton v Liverpool - What a game!

Saturday night, a few drinks in town with friends that turned into a 3am champagne fest and the mother of all hangovers on Sunday.


Back to work today (250 mile round trip) and it's off to Dublin tomorrow early...... :spank:
