Thought I'd start it early seen I'm bored....

Fri: Very quiet night in with a couple of mates and a dvd :D

Sat: Worked all day  At night, ended up having some mates over to mine. Was pretty drunk by the time we left to head into town, then it all gets a bit vague :? Must have drank far too much in the club, cause next thing I know its 9am and I'm in bed feeling rough as funk! Remember speaking to a girl I'm seeing, but have had no reply on text today from her, and woke up with a bad worried feeling, so...think I must have been a twat :?

Sun: Met up with mates, who also couldnt remember anything (helpful  ), and went for a long walk along the beach to clear our heads :D

Lesson learnt from the weekend: *Fergie and alcohol don't mix...better sticking to illegal pleasures*

Fri- Chilled bottle of wine and a curry

Sat- Watched forest put in a shocking performance against 10 men walsall. DANNY RAMPLING @plug sheff.......ACE< WICKED < FANTASTIC!!!
Really ace night, so many memories there. And Danny came and had a boogie with us on the dance floor at the end.

Sun- bed at 9.am, home now and feel shocking!

Very quiet weekend this time around after last weekends excessive b'day celebration

Fri - watched a clearly fixed World cup draw, couldn't listen as some Motson guy was gibbering over it

Sat - got some Xmas gifts bought and a few beers in front of the TV all night

Sun - relaxing day again

Rested up now for 2nd last week of work before Jan 9th and next weekends boozing

Friday Night Company X-Mas dinner. Nothing eventful.

Saturday Watched Cinderella Man, Stealth, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and War of the Worlds. Nothing eventful.

Sunday Gym in the morning. Shopping in the afternoon. Nothing eventful.

:( :( :(

Friday: went to my friend's after work, around 4pm we were quite drunk, about 5pm we went on X-mas decoration shopping and around 10 pm I left his place with a Santa's hat and really drunk

Saturday: my friend Uri cooked a paella for us, we spent most of the afternoon and evening around the table drinking and smoking. Later we went to Gracia for some drinks. Got back home around 3

Sunday: spent the day in pyjama :D

GREAT WEEKEND!! :D Here we go:

Friday: Started out attending a twice-monthly gathering of journalists and PR people at a bohemian bar called Apshu. Good to see some people I hadn't seen in a while. Things got increasingly messy with each pint until I somehow ended up with a hardhat someone brought back from a press tour earlier in the day 8O

Afterwards, went to Club Fabrique where Studio B (UK) was playing. This guy looked about 17 and obviously is only getting DJ gigs after his one club hit ("I See Girls") because he was quite poor. With few of the usual suspects around, way too much alcohol and poor tunes, I was literally a meter from the door at 3:00am until DJ Romeo from St. Petersburg came on and ROCKED! :D :D :D I hadn't seen this guy before but he's now definitely on my list of Russian DJs you should know about (alongside Grad, Sanches, Katrin Vesna and Kubikov). He staked out this place somewhere in between deep, dirrty, electro and progressive house and made it his own. I stayed until the end of his set and danced my butt off which meant...

Saturday - I didn't wake up until 4:00pm, totally missing daylight hours  The missus and I went to the sports bar to watch Chelsea eek out a win against Wigan. Then back home for a bit before going to attend a 1990s retro party thrown by Moscow's alternative English-language newspaper, the eXile. Good to see various folks there as the free drinks flowed and the DJ played various 1990s tunes. The evening was punctuated with 2 short sets by the band A French Whore Named Babette, who graced us with their punk rock cover versions of 1980s pop hits.

From there it was off to Club XIII for 2 Many DJs. :D :D :D These little Belgian guys know how to keep a party going. Blinder of a set :D :D :D They were preceeded and followed by blinding jackin' vocal house sets by rising local star DJ Galin. Lost the missus to fatigue at some point, so I snuck over to Club Mix for some afterhours tech-house action. Many of the usual suspects around so danced until morning then picked up some MacBreakfast on the way home.

Sunday - OUCH! No, no hangover (amazingly) but I danced so hard this weekend that my legs ache like hell! Decided as a matter of principle that I would not leave the house in this snowy weather. We ordered some chinese food delivery and curled up. I watched Spider-Man 2 (lame!) but later realized I would have to venture out to the corner store as our fridge lacked beer :? Fell asleep quite early. Nice relaxed Sunday, overall.

Great weekend for me too!

Friday: Picked the current Mrs B's lil sis up Liverpool St and arrived home in time for a swift three pints at the boozer around the corner.

Saturday: 4-3 win. I scored a corker to put us 2-1 up just before half time, the only downer being that I then bodychecked a barrel-chested giant and appear to have broken at least one rib. And this, three weeks before I go skiing, just after I've recovered from a similar injury.

In the evening, we took Anna's sister to see Chicago, which was far better than I imagined. Darius Danesh was born to play the male lead, but then the character in question is a particularly cheesy, smarmy twat!

Sunday: Lasted 10 mins in A & E hoping to get rib damage X-rayed before my patience ran out and I went to the pub instead. Two mates suddenly turned into twenty and two pints similarly multiplied and were joined by sambucca and tequila.

Still counts as a fairly healthy weekend, relatively speaking, and I am surprisingly not hungover :D

not esp 'hardcore' but

Fri: went to see The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. excellent entertainment, very funny and also quite beautiful. highly recommended fun entertainment.

Sat: xmas shopping (hard work and really uninspiring)

Sun : put up xmas decorations. great fun, our place is like a santas grotto. pine branches, holly, ivy, pine cones, cinamon sticks and oranges. nice smell!!

Weekend went tits up - Doggy was very ill over weekend - so spent a couple of days cleaning up everywhere he went - bloody gastroentiritus (sp?) in dogs - yuck!!!!

One vets visit over and done with - £80 worse off - dog makes miraculous recovery by Sunday :?

No Tony Humphries... :( :( but a well doggy so its not all bad....

Cooked a big Sunday dinner and had friends over for the Everton v Man U match on Sunday - that was great, although feeling somewhat deafened by all the shouting from the blue corner....

So quiet weekend really....

Friday: office party, not particularly uneventful, check out the office christmas party stories thread to see what happened...

Saturday: very hungover, went and did a bit of xmas shopping, managed to buy nothing. Then in the evening got out some videos: Palindrome (very odd film), Basic instinct (fantastic, first time I'd seen it) and Nighty Night series 1 (if you've not seen this show, you must, probably the most hilarious thing ever)

sunday: cleaned the house a bit and slept

hmm.. maybe I should have gone to see roger sanchez, I really did end up cleaning the house 8O

Had a horrible start to the wkend, Tom found out on Friday that his gran who he is so close to has got terminal cancer, they didn't even know she was ill, just had some tests this week and was told Friday that she's got cancer, it's spread all over and there's nothing they can do for her  After this I thought Tom would want to change our wkend plans but as Freddie said - 'The Show Must Go On' and we ended up having a great wkend.

Fri - met Tom in Kew after work for dinner and a few warming Amarettos before we headed ice-skating. OMG I can't remember the last time I had so much fun, I hadn't been ice skating since I was at school but did used to think of myself as a bit of a Jane Torville  Anyway within 30 seconds of getting back on the ice I was shimmying around doing my stuff  Unfortunately Tom couldn't quite get the hang of this ice skating malarky and it was absolutely hilarious watching him try to master the art  I likened him to a Marshmallow man on ketamine  And the best thing was that he had no control over what he was doing and was like a ball of destruction - Hurricane Tom knocking over kids, the elderly, anything that happened to be in his path and then falling in a heap on the floor

Sat - headed out early to meet Jon and Becki and their friends in Plan B for a few drinks and then went to Brixton Academy for The Chemical Brothers. Urgh urgh urgh, if I ever needed a reminder why I hate going to see live acts this served the purpose. Musicwise The Chemicals were good but the type of people that go to these things - pissed up scumbags in skanky clothes barging into you  Best thing was Rach popping up, she'd been shopping in Wimbledon and somehow ended up in Brixton haggling tickets from ticket touts  Managed to escape at 12.30 and went to the sanctuary of Ministry. Ministry was lots of fun, I didn't even get into the Box til 4am cos I was enjoying the Bar so much - Jazzy was on top form and then nice man Rob Mutiny was up next. Then went into the Box although I wasn't expecting much of NDSM cos the last 2 times they've been very average, but they were on great form, like the early NDSM sets. Kidnapped Jon and Bec and their friends and went back to ours. Just making the first lucozades and we hear this massive bang (everyone was going what's that, I said 'oh it must be one of the neighbours falling out of bed' ), it wasn't til we put the TV on to watch Match of the Day and it wasn't on and they were talking bout this big explosion that we realised the country had blown up

Spent yesterday drinking, first lot of Kidnapees left early afternoon and then Jon and Bec yesterday evening (shadows of their former selves  ) and then I made Tom open all his Christmas presents :?

Just woke up now and our flat is like a total scene of devastation and I've got to go out and buy more wrapping paper and wrap up all Tom's presents again

your're not the only one who ended up with suspect broken ribs after a game of footy :(

We can say Christmas is here now Tom had open all his presents

Did he like them?

I thought I'd done really well to get to 11th December and he hadn't opened them (some years they've been opened in November   )

He loved them all, I'm so in the good g/friend cupboard today :D

You make X-mas everyday, don't you

Friday - still tired and wrecked from the previous weekend  so stayed in, watched Mr and Mrs Smith and drank red wine til I passed out about 10pm. Slept for 12 hours. Lovely. :D

Saturday - went shopping and didn't buy any xmas presents. Just clothes for moi. Popped round to my friends house to pick up a pair of boots I left there a few weeks ago. A few wines later and we've decided to jump in a cab to Brixton. Got tickets for Chemical Brothers for £20 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unlike Babs I'm quite happy getting jostled around by pissed up scumbags.

Sunday - met up with my girlfriends from school for our annual Xmas meal at the Garrison on Bermondsey St. Most enjoyable. :D

The Gollum likes to make a guest appearance every now and then (btw have you seen Mambo's anti-gollum sig??).

We liked it so much we stayed after the Chemicals finished and all the toerags were rolling around in the plastic pintpots.

Been sick all week and the 'miraculous weekend recovery' didn't come, so spent the whole time trying to learn how to use ableton live and polishing a few tracks in cubase.. God I hate being sick, it's so depressing when your mates drop by the flat to have a few drinks and a bit of davis and I'm sat on the couch drinking lemsip

Oh well, next weekend starts on Thursday for the first of about 6 xmas parties, so it's all good 8O :D
