It's already lunchtime Monday and still no weekend recap thread. You people are slipping!
Friday - Went home after work and made a great South African-style curry
Afterwards, went to meet a friend at a bar/restaurant nearby to drink a few beers while he ate sausages and boiled crayfish
Then off to 10 Inches (aka 10 Dyumov) for a party with Francois K. I thought it was pretty poorly organized and the foam stations in a couple of spots on the dancefloor required navigation to avoid. Francois played average at best and the incoporation of 3 Depeche Mode remixes into his set might have been excessive (and that's coming from a DM fan). I was diappointed with the whole affair and headed home around 4.
Saturday - Woke up before noon on a Saturday, which is not only rare but turned out to be a bad idea (explain later). Lazed around the house all day before booking the New Years trip for me and the missus and going to the travel agent to pick up our tix. Then the missus and I went to the sports bar to watch Chelsea eek one out over Middlebrough (and Arse fall to Bolton
). Got home and, due to the relatively early rise, passed out at some ungodly early hour. First weekend night off from the clubs in god knows how long (months?!) and missed Tim Deluxe in the process
Sunday - Another lazy day at home before the missus and I went out for Indian food. I know you Brits had that colonial back-and-forth, but the 40-year close friendship between the USSR and India has resulted in Moscow having some of the best curry I've tried anywhere, and that's including what I've had in London. Went home and watched Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (great film!).
We had a birthday in our group in the office today, so already a bit buzzed after a few glasses of wine and it's only lunchtime
