Weekend Rundowns

I'm trying to stay away till Danny Rampling. 8O 8O 8O

It'll be the biggest break I've had in over a year...but given that I still looked like a premature caesarian when I opened my eyes this morning I'm wondering whether it's all going to be worth it. :x

Fri - Out to lunch for someones leaving do at work - got back to the office at 5 after several glasses of wine! then carried on after work till I dragged myself home at 9!!

Sat - woke up after hardly any sleep - always feel bad if i've drunk in day - fell over in the bath , felt a bit better so caught train to Nottingham for a bit of shopping - new All Saints there is fantastic. Then out in Leicester for the night - not a bad night on the whole!

Sun - walked dog, read papers, watched crap tv!!

Aching all over today - must be the bath incident coming back to haunt me!!

Opened at 4pm Sat but just functioning as a normal boozer. (We were the 10 wrong 'uns waiting outside at opening time  ) Don't know if they do Sundays mornings anymore. I'm guessing not because that Sunday session used to be run by Hans from Eukatech records and he then got involved with Jaded at Egg.

Grrrrr another afterhours place turned into a 'normal' pub

Although The Masque's 'Wrong' now caters for after-afterhours on Sundays.

(Which is f*cking wicked, I care to add)

Friday

Quiet nite in with Laura, watched Revenge of the Sith on DVD with a nice bottle of vino

Saturday

Did hee-haw all day apart from watch the football (boring internationals) then went out with Laura for a lovely meal at Salsa in Glasgow, cracking central/south america food and some wine, stopped off for a quick drink in the Arches bar (suprisingly quiet for 8:30 on a saturday) then home to relax

Sunday

Did nothing again most of the day (see a pattern forming) apart from the normal shopping malarky.

Nighttime - headed to Carling Academy with my future brother-in-law to see WHITE STRIPES. I'm not a huge fan (well, i wasn't) but i did know a few songs - I was absolutely blown away. For only 2 of them they make a hellofa noise and it was definitely one of the best gigs i've been to

and Turnmills new Saturday morning afterhours)
Whats that about Buckley?? What type of music and opening times etc??

Fri: Steve Lawler was excellent. 5 hours and I was never bored once. great atmosphere too, without ever getting too packed.

Sat: Met up with Belle and Barbie before the footy fest. Had to miss Stu Hirst's set as Spain was playing at 9, and I had to see it. We were great, 5-1 and we're practically in the world cup now!
Headed off to Type after. Loco Dice was a tad disapointing though. I think his minimal techno sound is good for DC-10 on a monday afternoon under the sun, but it doesnt really go well on a saturday night at The Cross. I think you need something a bit more melodic. Seb Fontaine and Masiello saved the day though.

Only the VIP and T2 open. Techy electro stuff Opens 5.30 until? We left at 11 I think and it was still busy. Called 'The Redlight'. Run by Terry Hart.

Funny crowd - quite gay but thin sprinkling of 'geezers'.

Wish I was going now! Went to see The League of Gentlemen instead which was rather disappointing.

First was at The Key. Don't know why they switched.

Maybe The Key have started clearing promoters out in the hope they might find a slot the X-man might consider suitable for 'his sound'?

Fri: Round to a mates house for a party. Ended up meeting Charles from the word go, as well as smoking myself into complete oblivion :? :P Got home at 6am, and needed to be up at 7am for work :? :? Eventually woke up at 11am 8O ....quick phone to my boss, but she was cool and said I could just have the day off, sweet!!! 8) :P

Sat: Went into town feeling very wrong for some Christmas shopping, didnt end up buying anything  At night, ended up going out to a crappy club in the town I used to live in. Ended up waking up the next day at midday, with completely no recolection of the night before. Since heard I was with a really nice girl all night...still cant remember though :? :P

Sun: Worked during the afternoon, then big group of mates round to mine all night. Complete carnage, and can safely say I've never seen everyone so stoned in my life

Whats also wierd is that T2 usually goes on till 6 or 7 at The Gallery.. How do you leave Gallery now?? You have to go through T2 wouldnt you??

5.30 - early arrivals into VIP room which was rammed by 6ish then when the Gallery closes T2 starts up again and both the VIP and T2 are accessible. Table across the walkway out of T2 into T1 blocks off and becomes the cloakroom also.

Don't try and dress it up by pretending you'll be selling clothes. You're opening a hair-bobble shop, aren't you? :P

My Mum and Dad came to stay so we pretty much ate and drank lots, went to watch SCD on sat which was good for half hour .... then I got bored and was counting down the mins till I could make a dash to the BBC bar! We did meet paul whitehouse though who is lovely.

Ended up weeping all day yesterday cos I didn't want them to go  and i'm left feeling more torn between FLT and the north than ever. Dad was on top form though, what a hero. :D
