Sunday - Brick Lane festival - was fantastic...saw Norman Jay in th Big Chill bar which was all smiles.

That's where we meant to be going but the lure of Secretsundaze was too mcuch

Fri:
Agree with Copperband on everything. Firstly those drinks at Mash reminded me just why I hate going to Bars in the west end.
Lawler at The End was outstanding. Perfect tunes selection and really good crowd. Less crowded than on the saturdays ive been there, which made it better to dance. Nice to see a few spotlighters there too :D Copperband, next time I see you will be in the airport!! :D :D

Sat: Met up with RobbieG +gf and headed to Dust in Shoreditch for a few quick drinks. Good to see Stu, Neil and a few of their scottish (drunk) friends ;) Didnt stay too long there as MoS was waiting. Del boy played harder than I imagined which was good. Was beginning to fade towards the end which is why I sat down for a bit, sorry Babs!!
Went off to the The Key straight after to see Stu play at Formulate (having failed to kidnap Barbie  ;) ). So glad I went, he was brilliant. Formulate usually caters for the funky house people, but Stu had the harder room pretty packed all morning, even after the 7 or 8 bottle of beers he had while he was on.. Good to see N8 last the pace, not sure what time he left.

Sun: Staggered home, saw the GP :D , USA win the Solheim Cup :( and Barca beat Mallorca :D .

Delboy is god isn't he

I soooo wanted to join you in the Key but Tom was insisting we were sensible, hence us getting home at 2am this morning

I didnt text you from Key because I didnt want to feel bad if you had a long messy weekend before Ibiza.. but then you go and do it anyway... Next time i'll just have to drag you

Derrick Carter was good, but I still think I prefer the music at Type... Right, im ready to get shot now  ;)

Fri - usual quiet ressie gig, boss winged 'cos she didn't recognise the old 70's Soul tunes I was playing  Not my fault it's empty, everywhere in my hometown is f***ing empty on Fridays

Sat - Watched GP Quali, usual ressie gig, but, had PRS researcher lady visit me for an hour or two gathering info on what tunes I was playing for royalty payments to the artists. Played her a couple of her favourite tracks. ;) Took gear home and headed off to Shindig for Junior Jack & Kid Creme. I know why they call him Kid Creme now, they had to put a wooden pallet down for him to stand on to reach the equipment  They were excellent, although my pal picked them up from the airport and said they're a right miserable pair wingeing(sp?) constantly like 2 old women. They ran over time by about 15 mins. I also popped upstairs to see my friend & ressie Mark Lowry playing out, he knows how to work the crowd 'cos it was really going off big style!! 8O I think he's supposed to be playing Pacha, Ibiza sometime this month.

Sun - watched GP. Got phone call to cover same gig I did last Sun. Twice as many people as last week, it's building nicely, just wish I knew if I'm going to be there permanently. Had a great night played lots of quality tunes (...........and some rubbish for the masses  ).

Hmmmm, no alcohol all weekend, better go out and make up for it tonight. ;) Don't want to get the withdrawl shakes! :P
First tho, going for a 5 mile run in a few mins. :D

great weekend for me

thurs: drank champagne all evening up on the 42nd floor at the natwest building in the city for my offical birthday. great views, great company and very nice booze

fri: a mate was djing at pacha london so we went along for a while. the place was pretty empty (the whole upstairs inc the vip and room2 were closed) the kidz in the crowd still think that the whole bling ting is still where it's at  . chris's tough electro set was great but not (i think) quite what the funkyhouselovers wanted. their loss. great to see loads of mates and left about 3.

sat: family birthday party, really nice night, plenty of great grub and more booze.

sun: even more boozy exploits as we went to what was undoubtedly the wedding of the year.
