Mine, very boring and peacefull
thursday: dinner with friends. Plenty of wine and tapas.
friday, saturday and sunday: sleep, tv and internet.

My weekend was MASSIVE. I'm surprised I'm still coherent at this point.

Friday
After-work drinks with the guys at Molly Gwynns pub, then home to change and pick up the missus. Caught one of the US Open women's quarterfinals while I was there.

Then we headed out to Coconuts for drinks and over to Club XIII where local resident Miller and Galin were in top form. :D They had an S&M themed night and I got spanked with a whip by a woman in leather on my way in 8O Supposedly-famous British bordello act Esme did two 10-minute on stage performances during the night. :D Me and the missus had a little spat and she went home so I headed over to club Fabrique, which I closed out at 7am and went home...

Saturday
...where I got about 6 hours sleep before getting up to get ready for my colleague's wedding. I was in really rough shape from the night before :? Russian weddings are like a cross between our Western wedding receptions and a vaudeville show. This one came complete with a master of ceremonies, magician, dancers, contests, and lots of toasts to the bride and groom. Sergey's wife was gorgeous, which explains why he never let us meet her before they got married

Then home to change and out to club Gaudi for DJs Tommie Sunshine and Griff and a live performance from Fischerspooner. Someone obviously had been to Manumission because this party had circus/carnival acts (stilts, unicycles, costumes) and topless dancers all over the place. The DJs were totally kicking it and Fischerspooner was surprisingly pleasant to watch/hear. :D Equally surprising was the number of Russians who were singing along with their songs 8O  The place was totally rammed... never seen that many people in that club (It's about the size of Ministry of Sound, only mostly one big room)

I caught up with a friend and his crew in the middle of Fischerspooner's set and they took me to a "better place for dancing". I figured out later we'd actually snuck into the VIP section  Unfortunately, they ran out of beer at the bar in that portion of the VIP section and I couldn't go out to another area because I didn't have a bracelet to get back in :? So, I switched to wine (I'd already had a bottle at the wedding!) and was dancing with reckless abandon... enough so that after a couple of kicking tunes (Moby's Raining Again comes to mind) I was jumping up and down and didn't notice the corner of the metal frame of a projection screen a few cm over my head   The pain subsided quickly but then I realized my head was bleeding 8O so off to the bar for more wine and some napkins. I started to fade after 4 or 5 (??) and I was getting hungry for some reason, so I went home grabbing a little MacBreakfast on the way.

Sunday
Slept all day, then got up and went shopping for a new suitcase and some other stuff. The missus and I went to Starlite Diner for one last outdoor weekend afternoon meal w/ drinks. It was already almost too chilly to sit there for too long...autumn is upon us :( Now getting ready to watch the US Open final (Agassi v Federer) which should be very good.

   after you weekend is not strange for me you don't want to go back to work, but after mine, bufff, I haven't been so bored in ages, don't know what to do with myself, i wontt have this plann for next week, this is for sure, I'll will start to call my friends for plans first thing in the morning. :D :D :D

Fri: work & chore bore

Sat: Gym 3 hours, then Smalls Summer Wrap party :P see link on signature for some pix

Sun: Recover :x , and start to wind down for jollies :)

Morbyd, my lovely ex is called segei, which make's me ask? how many men are called segei in Russia and do they all like there vodka?

Fri: I was a bit under the weather, and I had a class to attend during the weekend so I passed out early.

Sat & Sun: Went to Boeing's facility in Long Beach, and did 2-man, 3-man and 4-man building entries. It was a force-on-force operation, which means that the bad guys were shooting back at us. If you think that paintballs hurt, you do not want to be hit by simunitions. Paint balls travel at 200fps, and are shot from paintball guns. Simunitions travel at about 450fps, and are shot from actual guns with modified barrels. We did about 20+ scenarios, and I ended up taking two hits on the leg, one on the face (the face was protected), and one on the biceps. We also played bad guys. I was wearing two layers of t-shirts, and it hurt bad. One thing I am sure is that I sure did make a few enemies (in a good way) during the two days. No we did not shoot anything that popped up. We had to identify the threat. In fact, there were quite a few instances that ended without deadly confrontation.

By the way, all the live fire training done by special units within law enforcement and military in the US and Western Europe is done with Simunitions. Being barely 5'5", I was always the number one guy, which meant that I was the first one entering the building, rooms and hallways. That was quite cool with me. The first day it was in a lighted environment. The second day we had to use flashlights (aka torches). That's when it gets very hairy.

Lovely chilled weekend. Just what you need before ibiza, eh barbie

Drove up to wales on saturday spent the cardiff and managed to stroll across gay pride or was it mardi gra :? so spent a few hours of a saturday afternoon in a park in cardiff so that was good. Saturday rachel and i went out for a meal and hit a few bars locally.

Sunday i went to see the bungalow and house that rachel's dad is in the processess of building in a place called tintern abbey, just past Chepstow. A very nice place indeed. Very picturesque, and idyllic. Lovely little place and the bungalow ane house are very nice. Had lunch in the pub down the road, and headed back to dirty Essex with Rachel about 4 0 clock.

Now were getting really excited and the mood for ibiza. 3 days time!! :D

Fri - went up to San An to see off some Spanish friends who were heading to Barcelona for the weekend.

Sat - Flew back to London. DJ Gee was on the same flight looking very tired. Landed at Stansted at 1.30pm, was changed on the football pitch in Northwest London for a 3.30pm k.o (me not Gee, well he might have been for all I know but he wasn't at our game). Too tired post footy win to make it to Stu Hirst's gig in Shoreditch, so watched 'Troy' and went to bed early.

Sun - Spent all day at a 6 a-side competition

Friday: wedding. Great great evening and great great night, specially when I could take off those bloody heels

Saturday: sleeping all day and then at late went for a bbq on my friend's terrace, it was a leaving do cos our friend from Chile is coming back to his country

Sunday: 11 de Setembre - National Catalan Day. Went to see the parade and the politic speaches and then when to see the footy. We won :D

Friday - Few drinks with work people, fooking boring, I was gone by 6.00
Saturday - Had 1 too many vodkas and cant really remember anything
Sunday - Took the parents out for dinner, only my dad didnt show up  then had a trip to Gatwick to see some friends off to Ibiza :P

Ooops :? 8O  This wkend wasn't meant to happen like this :?

Fri - packing for Ibiza.

Sat - got the 'fro blonded and pinked. Went out early to meet Jon and Bec in bar in Bayswater to see little Erick play and then headed to Ministry. For the first time ever didn't assume podium duties and spent the first part of the night in the Bar for Grandmaster Flash - OMG probably one of the best sets I've ever heard @ Ministry, it was proper going off to some classic hip-hop :D Then straight into the Box for 4 hours of boompety boomp with Delboy :D The night came to an all abrupt end and me and Tom didn't know want to do. After trying to kidnap everyone and anyone we reluctantly went home promising ourselves that we would be in bed my midday. Fast forward 2 hours and we're driving over to Jamies :? Plan was to be semi -civilised and go to the Brick Lane festival and just have a couple of spritzers :? Then like a call from God Jamie gets a call and there's a special super secret Secretsundaze on so it would have been rude not to  I don't think I have ever had so much fun in a club EVER  The Poet was nicely busy but there was room to dance and Giles and co were the bestest I've ever seen them, sooooo didn't want the day to finish, eventually crawled back to Jamies about 10pm, few more spritzers and eventually got home at 2am this morning :?

Sergey is a very common name, though so are Oleg, Vladimir, Yevgeny, Victor, Alexander, Alexey, Konstantin and a few others.

Everyone likes vodka, though :D

 @ Barbie's quiet weekend...!

Friday: out with work people, unlike Leese my work crowd are mostly a good bunch, got wasted and visited Oxford's local hole/nightclub

Saturday: spent all day watching friends in a pile of my own filth before deciding that more drinking was in order so headed out to the pub and then onto another club in Oxford which was playing very cool funky house (after having the obligatory hour of RnB to please the masses...)

Sunday: Woke up early, felt like shit, but had to catch a bus to london to visit my dad who just got engaged so I thought it would be a good idea to congratulate him! He's a very happy man :D Then I went to Automat in Mayfair for dinner as it was a friend's birthday, which was fun, the restaurant was good (but not as amazing as I thought it would be considering some of it's reviews). Ended up being drunk all of sunday which has made today horrible...

Fri - went to Mash for a few drinks for Friends b'day.Nicew place but far too hot and although the music started to get reasonably OK I couldn't stop cringing as the barrow boys and their girlfriends started jumping around Champagne in one hand clients stock portfolio in the other
Maybe I'm being a little unfair but I just don't get those bars where all the non clubbers suddenly get pissed and all act like they are seasoned podium dancers

Then on to The End for Lawler - all I can say is what and awesome night, fantastic music which was hugely varied over the course of his 5 hour set. He expertly progressed the music through lots of varied styles to keep it fresh and uplifting.
The crowd was great, hardly any beer boys swaying in the breeze in the middle of the dancefloor (a la Turmills) and there was plenty of room to dance.
The soundsystem was excellent, I think they have upgraded ity since my last visit since it seemed much crisper but just sounded so good. Quite honestly it puts all other London clubs (except MOS) to shame in that dept especially when you think that really its one of the most important features of the night.

Also finishing at 5 seemed quite a good time as the place was still pretty full so it retianed the atmosphere until the last track had finished.

Overall a 9 out of 10 8)
Great Thanks to my good friend Ferd for his company plus nice to meet Beckiboo, lynch and others
:D

Friday - ill. :( Watched Jonathan Ross and died on the sofa?!?! It's officially the first Friday night I've spent on my own since moving to London.

Saturday - Went shopping & paid a visit to my (non)husband(yet). I figured a cheeky half would help push the cold through my system...and it worked!
Conclusion = cheeky halves are good for the immune system.
The lines of my quiet weekend were also blurred when the toybox came out at 3am and I could be found trying to dislodge a plastic giraffe from behind the washing machine with a spoon.
It's so hard to have a quiet weekend when v important and pressing things like this crop up so Babs - I fully sympathise!

Sunday - Brick Lane festival - was fantastic...saw Norman Jay in th Big Chill bar which was all smiles.
Early night (ish).

That's they way they drink it. None of this sissy mixing vodka with juice

50ml shots straight up, then chew on a pickle or take a sip of your beer

FRIDAY: on a course till 10pm so missed my team, st. helens, wrapping up the championship against old rivals wigan live on sky.

SATURDAY: Hit the shops in santa gertrudis in an effort to buy a hippy bag for the missus. failed miserably, so went to las dalias, where she installed me at the bar and told me to wait till she returned with said bag. enjoyed a wonderful didgeridoo recital and drank a couple of pints.
went to the curry club in san an to celebrate her indoors' 45th birthday and followed it up with some funky avante garde jazz at raco verd (plus remembered where we'd left the car)

SUNDAY: wrote some news stories and researched info for a driving route we'll be publishing. lounged on a wall in the village and then had a couple of beers in can bernat's garden. returned home for a slap up dinner of pork ribs a la slow cooker.
