Weekend Rundowns

Cheers mate, had a really good weekend. Feel like death today though

Hooked up with a stunning girl on Sat night, but deleted her phone number by mistake....not happy ;)

Fri - out in Hoxton sqaure, got trashed.

Sat- travelled to Liverpool, day of B and Q hell to buy new bathroom, tiles etc for our apartment (Plumber fits it tomorrow yay) evening went to Mums, had a rant about x factor being on then ended up staying till it ended. It's evil

Sun- Took my visiting London mates on a bar crawl around some of Liverpools finest (and not to er finest) bars. Ended up battered in babycream after party dispite the fact we skipped creamfields. Back to my apartment for more deborchory. finally hit the sack at 10 am.

Mon- Got up went to my parents for lunch, had a plan on route my friend Joe was to buy a gift of wine and when he handed it over he had to say the words ' I thought we coulkd drink this with lunch'  hair of dog worked a treat andf we went for a nice country walk. (oh it's only 10 minutes, ) two hours later blisters on feet, even my parents dog was giving me evils.

Mon eve- chinese, wine, laughter and the night is still young

Saturday: Saw Markus Schulz, who was decent... average at best. Pretty piss-poor turnout, so I don't blame him for not spinning the greatest set of his life!

Shame he wasn't on top form. I saw him up here in San Francisco a few months ago and I thought he was incredible. And I speak as someone who isn't really into trance. I actually thought he was way better than AvB who i'd seen the week before...

Sat on my ass ALL WEEKEND and did absolutely NOTHING.

That's what happens the week after you come back from Ibiza. No motivation to do anything....especially with summer almost done.

Had a busy one 'working' all weekend. My son went off to his girlfriends for the weekend so I was left on my own;

Fri - Usual ressie gig, quietish, Fridays have been crap in my hometown for over a year now. :?

Sat - Put in a hard 5 miles with my running partner. Later in my usual ressie gig, a bit busier than Fri but still not good. Ex Father-in-law came over for a chat, haven't seen him for years, said he hasn't seen my ex-wife in several years either. She's such a 'nice' girl. One of my ex-YTS trainees from around 1985 came over for a chat too, haven't seen him since then! Wow! I didn't recognise him at first, but he remembered me. :D

After I finished at midnight took my gear home then quick freshen up and shot off to Newcastle to Shidig @ Digital. My pal who's a ressie there remembered to put me on the guestlist, yay, result. :P Pete Heller was on downstairs rockin' the joint. Checked upstairs and Phil Weeks really had the place going, he's amazing! 8O Later Sister Bliss came on downstairs, after they found a wooden pallet for her to stand on, bless. She was OK but nothing startling. Got home at 5am

Sun - Put in an easier 5 miles with my running partner. Off to my ressie gig again, don't usually work on Sundays, just Bank Holidays. Started off quiet, then just went mental and was packed. 8O Great night but had to finish at 10.30pm. Packed up and dashed home with the car, dumped my gear, quick freshen up then out to catch the bus back into town. Into a nightclub where I'm doing a party this Thursday, thought I ought to check it out. ;) Club owner started stalking me as he wants me to 'jump ship' and work for him, he'd heard how good I'd rocked one of his other discos last Sunday. :D He's gonna be watching me on Thursday.

Mon - Did another hard run with my running partner. Booked up for a week in Majorca in November with the lads (7 of us). :D Later had a gig 'bout 7 miles away. Did a Sunday there 2 weeks ago, must of been OK 'cos they asked me back. :D Really gave them a show and rocked the place, got showered with compliments on a great night. :D Phew! Finished at 1am and just had a well earned cup of tea, don't drink when I'm DJing, I'm always driving anyway. ;)

Couple of days rest then DJing again Thursday, Friday & Saturday. :?

Right, time to put the kettle on again, cuppa Rosie Lee then off to bed.

I was pretty disappointed. Markus opened for AvB in May and absolutely tore it up then. Armin still blew him out of the water though (HUGE AvB fan and way surprised that you thought Markus was better at the show you saw... but right on! :P ) After he was done he signed my poster and I was telling how much I enjoyed his set with Armin, and you could kinda tell that HE even thought he was better that night LOL. But then he got all smiley when I told him I am religious about lighting up his Thursday sets on digitallyimported.com.

The set was monotonous pretty much all the way through. Nothing made me scream, sigh, freak out etc. until about the last 45 minutes or so... then he was building and dropping like no other, it was pretty delicious :D I was dancing in the back like a little raver girl with my tall go go boots and a huge fan blowing overhead hahaha. What a dork. :P I still enjoyed myself of course (always do pretty much) but I expected a little more beauty and motivation from Markus's show.

ps. Axon, how is the shopping going luv ;)

Friday: Dinner in Hakkasan which was very nice and then a few drinks in the Edge in Soho. Early enough night.

Saturday: Drinks at mine for a group of people pre-SW4. Headed over to SW4 around 2pm. Long queue but moved pretty quick. Spent a bit of time in the Space tent and then lots of time in the Heat tent. Was a good day. nothing amazing. I should remember not to go to these events with a big group of people. You just spend too much time waiting for people to get back from the bar or toilet.
Back home afterwards for a few drinks and lucozades. Went to Menthol at Factory in Vauxhall for a bit of trance action at 12.30am. Home at 5.30am and stayed up drinking until 7am. Urghh!! 8O

Sunday: Up at 3pm. Friends bbq in Stoke Newington. Straight back on it. Lots to drink and a few lucozades. Left there at 11pm and headed to Brixton for the Orange at the Fridge. Great night.....lots of badness, great music and good crowd. Finally crawled out of there at 8.30am 8O while the place was still really packed. Straight home to bed.

Monday: Got up at 5pm. Food. Bath and early to bed.

OH MY GOD. :? Can't believe I'm at work in this state.

Friday: Went to the Cock @ Ghetto and behaved terribly.

((Oh no the boss has just walked in and I thought he was off sick - that's my day of leisure ruined! ))

Saturday: Popped out for a sarnie at boots and literally the next thing I know I'm being blagged into South West Four by a friend I met travelling...he was site managing and whisked me through the gate under the guise of '3 mobile salesman' ...Enjoyed Carl Cox and a few moments in the Space tent but on the whole thought it was a pile of sh*t.

Sunday: CROSS CENTRAL! Only one of the best festivals I've ever done in my life! 8O 8O 8O
Brilliantly organised, great set up and wicked music. It looked exactly like a mini-Sonar (and was actually better if that's at all possible?). Grace Jones was unbelievable and the SecretSundaze arena didn't disappoint.
Everyone must go next year!!!

Monday: Slept & went for dinner with some (semi) grown up friends. Would have preferred carnival but felt guilty about turning down the invitation - even if I was in amoeba mode throughout.

Oh dear.

Pretty poor weekend by August bank holiday standards as I was ill from the end of last week but managed to sort myself out for seaside piss up day on sunday, round lots of pubs and a funfair, ended up drinking til 4am and again when we got up yesterday

Today, i understand I shouldnt have even done that this weekend, the cold is back!!

Roll on 6pm

Fri... DJ'd at the Muse on Portobello Rd. Pre carnival mash up...

Sat... Smashed up dot com in the local...

Sun... Cross Central... Hoooooo! One of the best house nights I've been to in recent years. Most DJs were spot on...

Mon... civilised dinner with sensible friends... missed Carnival... friend said Good Times 25th birthday rocked.

Fri: Went for a pint or 2 - met a man about a dog. Mission accomplished.
visited a mate for a bit - he was decorating his kitchen - left pretty sharpish!

Sat: Took car to get MOT'd then off to look at housey things for wedding presents - booooorrrrriiiinnnnggg - chilled day

Sun: Wedding - absolutely a great day, weather could have been a bit better - windy as hell - brides dress was up round her ears just about during the photo session    . 4 glasses of pink champagne whilst watching the photos - pissed at 11.45!! Stayed until 5pm, groom decided that he wanted some silliness for his wedding night, so he came back with us (40 min drive) in his morning suit, dropped him off at a destination - taxi back for him - then he realised he had forgotten his wallet!!!! had to borrow £40 from one of his guests on arriving back at the venue! Mr PL and I decided that as its BH - we should be a bit silly. Watched Blow listened to music and got funked.

Mon: Copious amounts of food and lying around in the garden reading, until next door charva neighbour came out and started playing DJ Shouty Bastard music at a nice distorted level on his tape recorder..... quality!! 8O    (Laughed at him till he went back inside.)

A Lovely way to spend the last BH Weekend of the year....

Welcome back Sil.. :D Not the best 1st game for us, we shouldve won though
Did you see Robinho play for Real..?? He looks very good!!! :(

Sat: SW4 was good, my favs were Hybrid, Paul Woolford, and Nic Fanciulli. Thought the tents were too hot near the front though
Good to bump into the usual suspects Robbie G, Mark Sun, Kitty, Damian etc but missed a few others!!

Sun: Planned for Egg, but was feeling a bit ill so rested

Mon: Sancho Panza soundsystem rocked at Carnival. Didnt move from it all day long (not that I couldve even if id wanted as it was very rammed) Layo played a good set. Again nice to have a drink and spend some time with the usuals ;)

Saturday SW4:

Thought this was a top day out myself :D

Met two very lovely ladies by the names of Pixie and Tania, who proceeded to look after me all day! Bless! Made my weekend this did, as I was feeling rather numb from the happenings of last week.

Got their tel numbers too so will hook up with them in the not too distant future. Pixie was a proper nutter!

Carl Cox was good

Who was the guy scratching it up latter on, on the main stage by the way, i thought that was most impressive!

Day finished too quickly and had to say my goodbyes to Pixie and Tania

hopefully i will see you again some day ladies
;)

Sunday : Just rested was feeling a little worse for wear, and really wanted to rewind back to Saturday as it was so good!

Monday: spent the day doing serious things :( but had to be done, as Ive got a lot on between now and when i got ibeefa next week!

Friday - down the pub for a friends birthday

Saturday - SW4 :D I thought this was really good! Carl Cox played a nice happy set to start the day off, also saw a bit of K90 in the Heat tent, that was really good but far too hot in there 8O Then bounced around for a bit before catching Digweed on main stage (again, a good set) before heading to the Space tent for Lawler who played a blinder of a set in such a short time! (an hour  ). Then headed back outside and caught the last half hour of Sasha who seemed to be rocking the crowd also.
Lovely day, not too hot, not too cold, perfect weather for dancing outside :D
Lovely to see as always the Gorgeous Holly G and friends and :D Robo and Rachel :D

Went to the pub until last orders then crawled home :( I dont know how people went out after SW4, by the time it was over I was KNACKERED! More tired than I've ever been after a normal club. I dunno if it was the heat, or being outside :? but I fell asleep as soon as I got home, a full 7 hours until the morning, even though I had been very "naughty" all day! ;) How strange :?

Sunday - recovering 8O Down the pub at 2pm for a lovely day in the sunshine, went for a meal with Jon, then home by 11pm for a nice long sleep :D

Monday - Notting Hill Carnival 8) Met up with Babs and Tom at the tube station....Had a wicked day dancing in the sun at the Sancho Panza tent. This place has such a good vibe, loved seeing all the Carribean floats going by with those dancers in such amazing costumes.
Nice to see BBS, Kang, Scoobie, Ferd, Robbie et al for a bit of a dance too ;)
Left there at about 6.30pm to go for a lovely curry in Brick Lane :D

Really good weekend, some fun days out, plus some nice relaxing meals. I love bank holidays 8)

I did some window shopping at the weekend just to see what's out there. I'm a bit wary of splashing the cash too much at this stage... would be a shame to get out there looking great but with not enough money to do anything :(

Hey - what do you think of Ray-Ban shades? Are they a bit passe these days? I love the names they have for them - e.g. predator flight extreme!! At the weekend I saw some really cool ones that are a modern update of the traditional aviator design... http://www.sunglasshut.com/sghus.cf...age&sitecategory=sunglasses&nproductid=159576 8)

How are your plans for love parade going? Decided which afterparty you're going to yet?

Urgh :? 8O 8O  Well we're still in Bank Holiday mode over here, just got in from a nice day sat in the sunshine at the pub and been trying to piece together the last few days :?

Fri - after starting the Bank Holiday early on the Thursday spent most of Friday still being pissed :?

Sat - headed to Ministry and met up with Rob and Rachel, and then who should pop in and say hi, only Jamie 'there's no way I'm going clubbing on Saturday night' Thought Luke Solomon was blinding but then they had stupid live act on (the Freaks) and I just can't be doing with live acts  so we went into the Bar and saw Marc Hughes who was on top form and then went back into the Box to see Farina. Really good night but Ministry was really quiet so we ended up leaving at 5am kidnapping Rob and Rachel (not that they needed much persuasion  ;) ) in the process.

Sun - Got back to ours, lots of rose and Lucozade shenanigans, then remembered we had the small matter of going to Get Loaded so left Rob and Rachel at ours (with strict orders to feed and walk the pups  ) while Tom drove over to Lover Rachel's. At this point the Lucozade was really kicking in which might explain my OOC (even by my standards) behaviour 8O Remember getting lanyard-ed up, saw the Monkey man play all of 3 records and sporting a blow-dried bob 8O  Went to see Armand who was good but I managed to lose everyone :? and then spent 20 minutes crawling round Clapham Common begging randoms to let me use their phone to try and contact Tom (who was carrying my phone, money, cigarettes), eventually Rach and Lorna located me, saw some more of Armand, nicked a pineapple and found Shirley the Sheep, then it was quite confusing cos Fatboy who was meant to be playing in Southern Fried Tent ended up playing on Outdoor stage but we eventually found him. All in all a brilliant day but more to do with the company and mixiness than the actual DJs, these 'mini-festivals' are good in the sense that they're handy and on your doorstep but music/organisation-wise they have a long way to go. Left Get Loaded and took a leisurely stroll back to Rach's, ended up in a skip (you know it's the sign of a good wkend when you end up in a skip :?  ) and then we finally got home about 2am Monday morning.

Mon - woke up feeling more wronger than I've ever felt in my whole life, but 2 bottles of rose sorted me out and we headed to Carnival and met up with Jon and Bec. Good to see lots of the usual suspects out and about (Ferd, Ben and Karen, Clare and Stephen, Robbie and Erin :D ) and had lots of fun dancing in the sunshine. Then I think the wkend shenanigans were catching up with me so I had a little siesta on the street  but then I woke up with a new lease of life and we located Jamie and spent the rest of the night rolling round on the streets of Notting Hill (literally :?  before all eventually crawling back to ours sometime this morning.

Bank Holidays, don't you just love them :D :D :D
