Will one of you teach that to my wife?

OK, my weekend:

Friday - Home from work, quick power nap, then off to the fancy Maison Cafe for a birthday dinner for a friend of ours. Several bottles of wine (and beer for me!) later, we were off to sing karaoke. Yes. Karaoke. That lasted until daylight (4? 5?), at which time we went to this 24 hour chinese restarurant with a great garden terrace for a bowl of hot & sour soup. I dropped the wife off at home and by now everyone had bailed and it was me, the birthday girl, and her sister. After getting past the idea of going swimming in the Moscow river, drinking continued on the outdoor terrace of an Azerbaijani restaurant until about 8. Home. crash.

Saturday - Not much accomplished during the day other than beginning the process of migrating 25000 emails from 7 years out of the AOL software and into Outlook in preparation to permanently change my main email address. In the evening, off to club L'eto where we saw the fabulous Grace Jones!! sing a 30 minute set before Nicki Siano (of Studio 54 fame) DJed. Grace was fabulous and lifted my mood, which had been soured by waiting an hour to get into the place (which was rammed). She is as glam as ever, and not bad looking for her age. From her elevated stage she picked me out in the crowd too... even the wife noticed she was giving me eyes  Nicki Siano was pretty boring so we left early (4:30ish?)

Sunday - More email migration before we head to the theater (!!!!!!) for a cultural evening with a performance of The Sound of Time, staged by the UK's Theatre de Complicite, directed by Simon McBurney, and featurng the Emerson Quartet. Interesting piece based on the music and life of the composer Shostakovich, only dragged a little in the last 30 minutes... Off to Scandinavia restaurant for a few drinks before going home to my email. Project completed at 4am.

Only 30 minutes late to work in the morning. Good weekend.

(ok... maybe I don't buy too many presents... but I do pay for everything )

So, as you pay for everything you want your wife to be a house worker? 8O

Pep earns about 3 times what I earn, and I know my way of life is totally related to him but I'm not expected to do the housework in "compensation". The first of us who gets home is the one who does the hous works. If it's me, then it's me but if it's Pep then it's him who do everything

Grace Jones!!

8O 8O 8O

I saw her in NYC when I was over there...she's incredible. I'm a huge fan.
The costumes were so fab... she changed between every song!

I heard from a friend who was on the phone with an organizer backstage that Grace was refusing to go on for a while  Then after her first song she was freaking out because her fans weren't working properly!

What a diva! (in the good sense of the word  )

No no no. She doesn't work, she doesn't cook (I do!) and she doesn't do my laundry... I think it's fair to hope that she'd clean up a little.

When I saw her she came on a full hour later than planned!
The crew were joking that she'd gone out for some food - quite amusing.

Sorry, that makes a change and I'm very sensistive to that subject. Pep's family keep asking if he helps me with the house-works and I wonder why do they say HELP ME when it's supposed to be both duties

They're probably just thinking you'll be able to do less once you've got four mini-Peps! Or have they let that go for a bit ;)

Hola Ferd!

Yup, we went to Egg - great place in the sun - all a bit hazy I have to say 8O How was the Key?

Key was good, theres a terrace there too, but it was too hot so we stayed inside for most of the morning. How much is Egg to get in these days? Key was £8 which is a bit extreme for an afterparty, i think if youre a member its £5.

I love the terrace at Egg when the sun's out, there is a real party atmosphere. I don't know how much to get into Egg - I was on a list but it's probably about the same. Maybe they bump the price up to keep out the riff raff 8O  also Egg doesn't serve any beer until midday and I do like a beer when I'm clubbing

What do you mean, if they insist in four mini-Peps? :?:
The only one allowed to insist in this is my grandma

same as rob, however far less sweaty and i lost a few hours along the way sat night :? . Had a fab time though, glad I made it down to london.

Weekend of complete carnage, thank god Jamie only has a birthday once a year 8O

Fri - Tom met me after work and went out for dinner in Richmond and a few wines.

Sat - bit of shopping, lunch, then drove over to Jamies and got on the rose/ruby juice. Went and met Jon, Bec, Rob and Rach for pre-Ministry drinks and then got to Ministry for 11. Already a huge normal queue, got in and Marc was playing the Bar so didn't even have our usual sitdown upstairs. First in the Box when they opened, Behrouz played first and was brilliant and then Deep Dish come up at 2.15 and played til 8.15. I'd only seen them a couple of weeks ago in Ibiza and was worried they would play same set but it was a completely different set and oh so going off :D Don't think I have ever danced so much in my life, by the time we left I was just a big sweaty 'fro that looked like it had been dragged thru a hedge backwards 8O  At 8.15 the Box was still full and nobody would leave. Security finally cleared everyone out and we headed back to Jamies to wish him a happy birthday and a few early morning roses. Then headed to Light Bar for secretsundaze, we lost Jon and Bec at this stage (lightweights  ;) ) but good to see everyone else there :D Secretsundaze was sooooooo fab, got a new lease of life and was dancing til 9.30 when we had to leave. (Can anyone else remember the police trying to shut it down about 7pm, wtf was all that about, haven't the police got anything better to do  ) Went for a few drinks in Hoxton Square and then back to Jamies. I was trying to convince Tom to stay at Jamies but he was still adamant that we had to go home (meanie   ) but it got to about 2am and he finally realised he was fighting a losing battle so we decided to stay at Jamies and the night just went even more downhill 8O Eventually got to sleep about 9.30 Monday morning :? Woke up at lunchtime, had to get back on the rose for medicinal purposes, eventually got home about 9pm last night.

Don't think I'm going to go out again for a month
