Weekend rundowns

as i am in my work today i thought that i'd start.

Fri - quiet nite in watching the freaks enter the Big Brother house - or should that be Chav Brother.

sat- quiet nite again but in the afternoon went for lunch at the venue where our wedding will be, were allowed up to see the hall and it looks stunning - it was all laid out for a reception, the venue is perfect :-)

sun - early round of golf and then the usual boring food shopping before..

BECK at the Carling Academy - excellent stuff, wasn't as familiar with all his tunes as i was the last time i saw him in Glasgow but hes a brilliant showman and the gig was a top one.

after that onto Mylo (DJ set) at the Arches - after much confusion (they hadn't listed who played where as they usually do at The Arches and we were led to believe that Mylos set was the early one and we'd missed it) it turned out that we hadn't missed Mylo and he put in a sterling show. Not the best dj set i've ever heard but he did rock the place and some cracking tunes were dropped.....if only i didn't have to work today :-(

Don't worry, you're not the only one at work. Missus is working so i've come in for a few hours to get on top of my backlog.

Extremely uneventful weekend for me :(

Was supposed to be going out for a meal on Saturday but one of girlfriend's Chav supervisors didn't turn in to work so she had to do a double shift which meant getting home late  Didn't just spoil it for us though, other 4 people dropped out of meal too as it was us taking them out. So, after all last week suffering staff problems they even managed to ruin out night out :x

Anyhow, got up Sunday, went to gym then went into town for a bite to eat and walk around the Winter Gardens etc then took a drive out into the Peak District to see a friend who's converted a barn - what a pad!! Absolutely jaw dropping countryside too, can't believe we don't go out in countryside more, especially as it's right on our doorstep

Apart from a few merry moments, that's about my lot :(

Suppose it's justice on us for having such a mad one the week before

Friday: We went to test a big motorbike that Pep was meant to buy but he is unsure on the model and probably going for a trail instead of a road one :? at late found an excellent andalucían tapas bar near ours and had lots of tapas and beers and stayed in and watched "the league of the extraordinary men", surprising film

Saturday: Spent most of the day doing boring home stuff, cooked a great shellfish lunch, we went shopping in the afternoon, meet friends for dinner and spent 6 hours in a terrace having beers

Sunday: Went to the beach, visited the villa we are going to rent in august and had a paella :D

Fri Night - cook a BBQ for 20 children  at a Youth Club, this wrecked me so hit the pub afterwards.

Sat - Work

Sat Night - took my niece to my mate's farm (goats are scary)
Had a meal and a few drinks

Sunday - Ballycastle on the boat :D

fri: finished work at 8 so took jaki and marli to san antonio´s villa manchega for a slap up meal of tapas and lots of wine. Jaki drove us home.

sat: spent the morning buying diy things, the afternoon at work for the via punica´s street fair. went to cala bassa after work (and lidl) and watched soul deep and the stax concert on the box on the night.

sun: worked on a super urgent project for big chief spotlight then took marli and jaki for a walk to san antonio along the paseo and had a slap up tapa lunch in rincon de pepe. spent the afternoon floating in the pool to a miles davis soundtrack and then had a picnic dinner on the front terrace. finished off the evening by climbing a large tree to retrieve our charlie (the cat)

hows that?

mmmmmm Rincón de Pepe, how nice, I envy you!!!

Friday: Went to the Gym after work and tested out the steam room and jacuzzi and then went on the lovely massage chairs and chilled out listening to some wind chime music :?. I think it was an early night :?

Saturday: Got up early and went and checked out a couple of apartments for sale in B'ham city to see what we can get for our money, looked at Jupiter and Orion. Then went shopping and treated myself to some new jeans now i have a new bum  (y)
Went for lunch @ Fino in the Mailbox which i believe is Patrick McDonalds day restaurant. It was okay, i went for this tuna salad thing and Joey had some sort of pasta with squid ink in it.

Saturday night we went for a meal @ Old Orleans in star city and seen 'Its all gone Pete Tong, i thought it was really good but now much shown about Ibiza.

I actually think Paul Kaye's quite sexy too :?

Sunday: Got up early again and took my brother out for a lovely sunday carvery where he amused us laughing at the rude pictures on the wall. He didnt want to eat too much though because he had a wobbly tooth and wouldnt let us pull it out.

Took him back to ours to watch Sponge Bob the movie and me & Joey were a little tired so we all went up to bed and me & Joey fell asleep while Tom stayed up watching the rest of the movie. Then we took him to the park for a bit and Joey was loving the swings .

Today: Its taken Joey all day to grout the tiles in the bathroom because he's a typical man and makes another job by doing one so after a trip to B&Q to replace the pipe that he broke  i think its now finished.

And all ive been doing all day is sunning myself on the sunbed and watching 'Mad about you' on ABC1

Some people are never satisfied. The "Broken" item had never been right to begin with, so it was decided to spend £1.50 to put it right
I'm still not well you know.

Hows the Orion building coming on? They've been at it for 18 months now and it never seems to grow any bigger :? Yet the one down the road on the corner by the roundabout shot up in no time :?

Phase 1 and 2 are sold, theres only 3 left now. Im not too impressed with the layout to be honest and the kitchen etc are supposted to be John Rocha but i dont think that its worth the money because its not that impressive. I prefered Jupiter, really nice layout, it seemed quite big.

What other ones do you mean? do you mean Southside by Arcadian?

It'd be noisy as living in the Orion as well by that road!

Think the other one i mentioned might actually be a hotel or comercial type thing....
