Weekend Rundowns

sat. woke up, watched saturday kitchen. went to sainsburys and bought ingredients for a Thai chicken salad. went home, 1). ate 2 raspberry turnovers (BOGOF)... went out, washed the car. cleaned out garage. had a bath. ate more. slept and did more of the same sunday.

:?

Fri: Cooked a nice meal and had wine (well I say we had wine but being in a hurry in the supermarket managed to pick up 2 bottles of dessert wine - which promptly went down the sink after many attempts to create a drinkable end product by adding various other stuff to it...) then spent the rest of the evening sandbagging the back of the house to stop the flood waters pouring in....) fell asleep on settee.

Sat: walked dog through flooded dene near where we live, 6 inches of water, river burst its banks, 3 trees toppled over ducks everywhere!!! Watched Arsenal Match, went to Library - read a book - ignored the need to go see a friend..... cooked a nice healthy meal - drank Green Tea - fell asleep on settee.

Sun: walked dog through flooded dene, bathed one very very very muddy dog, watched Newcastle get stuffed :D helped Mr PL with some work, read papers, read another book. watched TV, battened down the hatches for more rain.... went to bed before falling asleep on the settee.

So, nothing exciting, nothing naughty, no alcohol, lots of walks.... Pah!!!

friday-did some pr work for fake at club eve aka club gash, was told i would finish at 1130 so made our way to the club at that time and was told i would have to do it allnight, like funk i was,had a few drinks the club had one of them dancefloors with the disco lights underneath, other than that it was shit, dodgy soundsystem and anthem style funky house, think flashdance and my my my then went home just making the last train back.

saturday-went to a boat party saturday evening, was cloudy all the way up to london then as we sailed off the sun came out giving us a great sunset :D very messy indeed then made our way to the end for garnier was proper rammed taking over an hour to get in,just got on the dancefloor when the man dropped about 4 drum and bass tracks, deffo the highlight of the night :P even dropping the original sweet dreams where i then had 2 nutters singing it to me :? heard song 2 and some disco tracks in there somewhere and then the last hour he went proper techy-quality night :D :P 8)

Fri am: Had my fringe trimmed by my gay hairdresser(he's done a George Clooney & gone grey). Did some shopping for housewarming party nx week.
Fri pm: Dad come out of hospital, so I went to visit. Silently laughed to myself as I opened their lounge door to be greeted by Pa akip on his chair & Ma akip on the sofa. Anyway he's recovering well, pending results.

Sat Lunch: Went to see another poorly relative (Great Aunt), with bro, blister & her boyf.
Sat Eve: Taking Dad out for his birthday meal to Fino at The Mailbox. Parents enjoyed the whole occasion. Me, bro, blister & her boyf went to Bobby Browns-I was up on the podium most of the night. Then me, bro & John went onto mud at The Moon Lounge, xclnt vibe. Unfortunately for me some robdog stole my purse  , luckily I had my bro to bail me out.

Sun am: After approx 3 hrs sleep up like a lark to cancel stolen cards.
Sun pm: Off to the gym. Was stretching on the mat, nearly held onto it for dear life as the room started to spin 8O jayzus it was worse than being on a merry-go-round. Then off to olds for slap up lamb roast for Dads birthday, and resist falling asleep after din-dins (just like parents).

Sat - Lottie at Turnmills. On paper it looked like being a pretty good night. On reflection it was dire! Turnmills was empty, and the crowd was awful.

short but sweet this time.

We went to that on Boxing Day. Absolutely terrible music and it appeared to be full of German tourists in cable knit jumpers 8O

we stayed in room 2 most of the night cos the music was better, and the corwd were more clubby. Other than that the music in the main room as you say was terrible and the crowd - if you could call it a crowd was beer boys and tourists.

aboslutly terrible!

saturdays at turnmills are now officaly shit

I'm with you 100% on that one, especially with regular nights like Missdemeanours, City Loud or Together. Not sure why it's always empty. One-off nights are usually better like Roger Sanchez or Armand V Helden

Thank god for Gallery on fridays ;)

I was at City Loud for a couple of hours last month and it was rammed. Hid in the VIP bit because we'd only gone in for a couple of late drinks, so couldn't comment upon the type of crowd but there was definitely bloody loads of people.
