Paris Friday to Saturday for me.

Friday night - Eurostar followed by resident Jazz band at our hotel - all good fun

Sat - Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, bus tour and a few drinks followed by a late dinner at Buddha Bar. Nice food and environment, though woeful front of house service!

A quick question - during the afternoon we saw numerous incidents of 'dance-offs' between groups of youths on the street. Seem to be a more fluid form of breaking, which looked ridciulous in all but a handful of cases - anyone know anything about it?

Sun - Morning in the Louvre, then Notre Dame in the afternoon and back on the train into London for the evening.

A great weekend!:D

fri eve: a few quick halves after work turned into a bit of a marathon. Cocktails at sosho in shoreditch was classy.
Next was the russian bar on kingsland road. Very shabby with probably the worst toilets in town!very very very sexy bar staff. A fun place.
Then the marathon kebab shop come late night drinking den on chalk farm rd.

Thurday - Very fancy dinner with the missus for our anniversary, followed by a stop at the nightclub Most where a French DJ David Vendetta was playing. It was afterparty for a conference attended by, among others, Sir Richard Branson, who now says he's going to open an airline Virgin Russia  Oh, the irony!

Friday - Came home from work, made dinner, watched Lost, accidentally passed out on the sofa.

Saturday - Watched football all afternoon. Made amazing basil & garlic encrusted swordfish steaks, with a side of penne tossed in olive oil, garlic and braised tomato. Met friends for drinks at Soho Rooms then to Zona for Danny Howells :D :D

Sunday - Slept all day. Made a stir-fry for dinner. Watched some football, and later on the other football - the SuperBowl.

funny paragraph of text........

if you didn't already know, middle age has well and truly kicked in old chap!!:lol:

Saturday. Lazed about all day. Went to The Arches at night, caught most of Nick Warren who was excellent. Then went through and saw Little Loui Vega. He was really good. Back to a mates house and sat up all night drinking right through to 7pm on Sunday night when I got to my bed. Feel terrible today . Managed to get away from work early though so I'm back in my bed.

Yup, I was fully aware as I watched a bunch of teenagers indulging in a dance I didn't recognise that I was no longer a 'yoot'.

You're another whole step on - creating mini-persons!!!

And don't I know it! Why is it that being pregnant means you need to urinate constantly? I had to visit the ladies FOUR times yesterday whilst shopping in John Lewis - poor Ben was starting to look suspicious hanging around outside holding my handbag!

As mentioned in the weekend plans

Thurs - big one. New club 54.Mile End. Claude Von Stroke. AMAZING. Great venue. Highly recommended. Ruined next day at work!

Fri - Meant to go to some Vice Magazine party at 93 ft east. Ridiculous que so headed to a mates drinks in Soho. Tucked up by 2am

Sun - Drinks turning into a bit of a bender along brick lane on Sunday pm

Good one (although this is like speaking into a vacum sometimes!)

Friday, on t'lash - Cloud23 & Panachea in Manchester. Not my usual, but a good laugh despite the pretentions of most of the people in them.

Rugby watching and sleep in between.

Hmmmm with the demise of Turnmills and The Cross I may have to give this venue a go. What sort of stuff did Claude play?

Did nothing of note, saw Cloverfield in the cinema. It was quite good. Didnt realise the WHOLE film was done with a handheld camera, can make you feel a bit dizzy if you sit at the front. I'd say its a mixture of BlairWitch and Dogzilla... but better

How long to go now Karen? Do you know if it's a boy or a girl? How exciting! :D

Had pals up from London

Friday - Tom Middleton at Headway at Reading Rooms - absolute nutter

brief half hour ravenap once everyone had bailed from the afterparty on saturday evening, through to Glasgow where we had hired a massive swa.nky apartment (between 6 of us it only worked out at £25 each). Went out for Larry Heard at the Sub Club. While his set was hardly very imaginiative, he thumped out loads of old classics for hours which sounded ace on the club's system so everyone was happy with their lot. Continued the party back at our apartment till the following afternoon when we left 3 hours late (no charge!) and home for much soul-searching and sleep paralysis.

:D

It was a very bouncy/tuneful techy set with a couple of big tunes thrown in but for the most part just couldnt stop my feet from moving - one friend described it as "relentless" - dont think there was a single lull

Apparently they are building a roof terrace for the summer so could be a great daytime venue too

My weekend was spent at Butlins with 2 girly friends, I know its a funny choice of where to go but we basically wanted a cheap getaway for a few days to unwind. Not sure how much unwinding we did so to speak but still lots of laughs, great to be back at work today - not :spank:

I was seven months last Friday so getting there. Still don't feel any different (apart from the wee-ing ) which is great. Nope, don't have a clue what it is although I've had all the women here telling me they know exactly what it is
