Good Monday morning all.

Weekend spent in the Holy Land. Highlights included 25 C weather, seeing Ame play at a club called Barzilay, walking in the footsteps of Christ and touching the Wailing Wall (would have prayed at the Al Aqsa mosque too to cover all my bases, but it was closed to non-Muslims on Saturday!).

Russia was atrocious (congrats to you England fans, and good luck against Croatia!). The defending on Israel's 2nd goal was farcical.

Rude awakening arriving back in Moscow on Sunday... -7 C! Brrr. My plane to the Russian Far East was delayed for 24 hours so got a good nights sleep in my own bed. Woke up 2 hours early this morning :confused:
 
Fri - few drinks after work, Tom cooked

Sat - Tom was off so had a nice day walking dogs, out for lunch, shopping etc. At night went into town for a TCR Weekend Special with the usual gang :D Then headed down to Ministry for thier 16th Birthday Party. It was already heaving when we got in at 11.30pm. Ashley Beedle was playing first in the Bar who was good (altho everytime I see him I am just waiting for him to play 'Weak Become Heroes' :lol: which he didn't disappoint with a 20 min version of it), after Ashley Beedle came Grandmaster Flash who was just superb - both in tune selection and mixing, playing a lot of early hip-hop stuff mixed with stuff like David Bowie and Nirvana - just amazing :D After he finished Dubfire was still playing in the Box but for the first time in my life I had a visit to Ministry without spending anytime in the Box and went to see Alfredo in the Baby Box instead. The Baby Box is a nice little room but it's one of those rooms that I always forget about (one cos it's hidden away at the far side and two cos normally it just attracts a load of Z list Promoters who you've never heard of) so the last time we were in there was probably 7/8 years ago when one of Tom's friends was playing in there. It had been done up a lot since those days and was a really nice intimate atmosphere and Alfredo played loads of Balaeric Classics which went down a treat :D

Funniest moment of the night was everyone's favourite Ibizan Pizza Delivery Man spotting Tom out of a crowd of 2000 in Ministry - he's living in London for the winter and has Tom's number - I'm scared :eek::lol:

Left, went home, had a few wines, played with Katie and then had a lovely Night Nurse sleep.

out to Classic Grand in Glasgow for Rehab Dark night
first time in there - quite a nice club, real effort put into it
popped down to the 2nd room a few times (cheaper boozes) with the cheesy 80s tunes
main room was the Rehab residents and then Anderson Noise followed by Chris Liebling
a cracking night of really good techno

then a day of leisure followed by some cruel football results

My weekend was brilliant, was in Amsterdam from Thurs night until yesterday afternoon so lots of funny stories, laughing and good company had!!! Funny funny weekend, and our first night there dont think I have laughed so much in ages. Worth every penny spent!

Feel like I have not been to bed after having to get the train home last night from London with all our luggage then back on the train this morning to work :spank:
 
Fri - Gym went out the window as the pub got the nod, back home for a few more, sort of watched CIN but got bored of there constant pleading for cash :rolleyes:!
Sat - Up fairly early, saw the wife off, went to golf lesson and then domestic bliss until I picked up the lads from FLT. Lovely food at folks and good catch up, then off out for brother in laws stag type do, a few beers with him and father in law, back to mates for carry on until 4.30 :eek: in the morning, lots of laughs and general messiness.
Sun - Saw the lads off and then plonked my arse firmly on the sofa where I didn't really move until I went to bed........bloody lovely!
 
Friday, drinks at the White Horse, followed by dinner ay La Rueda! Howard Marks, a true Don was in there, had a chat & my birthday Mate had hids photo taken with him, then my flat mate almost got in a fight with his idiot son!!
Saturday dinner in Fulham with Hughes & Knight, then Minisrty's celebration!! Superb night, well mobbed, good vibe, musically off the hook and varied! Flash was excellent as Babs said, scratching cutting and even rapping!! Hughes played an outstanding set!! The Box was busy too, Dubfire was HOT!!

Friday - stayed in and Jon cooked a yummy curry

Saturday - Cleaning the flat all morning, had some friends come round at about 2pm for drinks, down the pub at 4pm for more drinks and food, then headed into town at about 7pm for the TCR Weekend special. Lots of drinks and fun and games followed, then headed to the End at about 10.30pm for the one and only Sven Vath :twisted:
The club was totally rammed, the queue stretched almost out onto the main road, luckily we had pre-booked our tickets so got in pretty swiftly. Thought Sven played an absolute blinder, the whole place was rocking all night, Sven played from 1am til gone 5.30am. Unfortunately my clubbing stamina was not up to scratch and I reluctantly left at 5.30 am :evil:

Sunday - vegged around on the sofa all day
 
Fri- Had a couple of low key bday affairs to attend - Attended the second one up in Angel at around 1130. The bar closed around 1ish so was still fairly sober. Suggested a few of us head back to mine for a few beers etc. Cue a 40 person house party which most definately was not planned but was great fun anyway. One of my mates ended up inviting some of the neigbours in - really nice guys - though I think they were slightly shocked by the going ons...esp my mate running down the stairs shouting about his love of the 1 before L!..basically neigbours now think we're messheads :eek:.finished up around 8am when I remembered I had a family lunch in about 3hrs and managed to chuck everyone out!:D

Sat - said family lunch with an evening Wii session with pals.

Sun - Family day out in Leicester seeing the G'parents and various cousins.

This deserves a review!

Me, nothing much - back to Wirral to see nephew. Friday night at mates on his homegrown. Woweee...its fun!

Saturday, bit of a drive, went to beach & got windswept. Sat night stayed in with a couple of mates. Rejoyced at the glory of Israel's football team...you know I could almost forget about all that trouble in Palestine.

Sunday went for the worst massage on my dodgy back ever. Really poor.

Of to the london tomorrow for a few days
 
Fri: drinks and dvd's and a late night with friends

Sat: went out to watch the Scotland match (felt so sorry for them) met up with Phil's workmates who were a good laugh, then we bumped into another friend and it all went a bit daft after that - very very late night....

Sun: Phil took me out for Sunday lunch - so stuffed I was in agony in the car driving back home - I was at Christmas Day stuffed levels......

a rather nice weekend - nothing too strenuous.....8)
