Weekend Reports!

I had a pretty dull weekend and had some bad news, and im also laid up with manflu now and off work...

so i wasn't going to post in this thread, but i needed to know...

WHAT THE HELL IS A CD BURNING PARTY??

I thought Roxy Music were meant to be touring this year. Would so love to see them.
Would be great to see the whole band, but Bryan played some of their tunes plus his solo hits and some covers... his band was very good, individually and collectively, so no complaints there.

It's not the style of music or show where you're going to come away from the concert going "wow" but you definitely leave thinking "what a great show". Plus the man just has style and stage presence.

Friday - Stayed in and watched Zone Reality Channel on TV, great channel much better than the usual BBC/C4,etc rubbish.

Saturday - Went out and had a few beers watching Liverpool v Fulham with a Liverpool supporting mate, went to the off licence got some beers, went t the local pub with the intention of a few quiet beers but ended up scoring this 30 year old bird and she came back to mine so i was on the job all nite;)

Sunday- Woke up feeling fresh and myself and herself had another mini "session";) before she fuc*ed off, went to my mums fro dinner, back to pub watched Man United v Blackburn and went home, quiet enough but not bad weekend.

Thursday - Biffy Clyro gig. Was far too drunk.

Friday - Bed all day

Saturday - Work

Sunday - Work

Yawn........ boring.

Nothing happening until a work night out next Thursday then Roger Sanchez @ The Arches on 1st December.

Fri: Lost Series 3 night - v v late one...

Sat: Shopping for house stuff - thought I would try to "sneak" phil into town after the shopping park, but he caught sight of some tinsel and christmassy decorations, started to hyperventilate and so had to go home - so didnt start the Christmas shopping as was my secret plan...

Bill Bailey was great, really enjoyed his show - a lot of people had said he could be better if only he changed his material, considering we hadnt seen him live before, it made no difference to us - still pissed ourselves laughing!!

Sun: Chill day, papers, lunch and I had bought some big velcro rollers a while back to try to take the corkscrew curl out of my hair and go for a git of a sultry wave instead..... hmmmmmmm not convinced, didnt quiet end up as I imagined it - my hair was huuuuuuuuge looked like Napoleon Dynamite.... Took a lot of taming - 3 hrs worth to be honest...:lol::lol::lol:
(Might need a bit more practice I think before going out in public...)

Phil was happy with his football result - last minute equaliser made his day.... (and mine!!)

Where else would you recommend as definately going back- hopefully next spring/summer - Wanted to check out Watergate and 103 Club but didnt have the time and would want to check out Berghain more as spent most of the time in Panorama Bar - and definately want to find some more Delicious Donuts style afterhours places - loved that place :)

Bar 21 was pretty awesome, though as it was a trip focussing on the fussball, we didn't really make the most of it

Didn't do much apart from go to the spurs wigan game, the abuse chris kirkland was getting from the 2 lads next to us was not something you want to tell your mother:lol: quality game:D:D:D

i went to this match too. i thought we looked still pretty ordinary. Berbatov was excellent though, he was on the end of every ball and really seemed up for it(a good omen). Lennon seems pretty much back to his best too. Dawson is still playing terribly though

Wigan were about the poorest team i've ever seen at this level, others tell me they were even worse that Derby who at least have some fight in them. There couldn't have been more than 300 of their fans in da house either. Poor Show indeed

Friday - after a manic afternoon of rushing home to get ready, we all went off to Roller Disco in Kings Cross. Was a great laugh (there are some dodgy 80s throwback pics on my Facebook page  - I resemble the fat drag queen lookalike among them ), there is actually nothing funnier then seeing people fall over on skates, everyone was at it. I was quite lucky and only fell flat on my arse once unlike some within our group - but then maybe that was due to me skating rather slow..............

This sounds great - I want to see photos Emma....:lol::lol:

fantastic weekend...

friday took my mum out for a meal in hackney. sat took her out for lunch then on to the national gallery to see the gorgeous sienese exhibition. packed her off home, then had people round at ours for warm up session before heading to Unit 7 in limehouse for what had to be one of the best nights out I've had in london. some guy's photos here:

thankfully resisted going to the afterparty, held in some torture dungeon next door, and sensibly headed home for drinks and chillaxing. rest of sunday lazed about, then had a day off yesterday to fully recover and catch up with various errands...
