Weekend Reports

Fri - Went Ice skating at Somerset house with some friends which was fun...although im ok at skating was a bit put off by there being a lorra lorra people and me having had a few beers before I started. Then went to Sketch to eat for a girls pty. Nice food but a not worth the price, and then onto a club/bar type thing nr Soho. Was pretty smashed by that point and dont remeber much except that I woke up the next day with a big medallion shaped like a $ sign around my neck 8O

Sat - Early start, despite a stinking hangover to go flat hunting (which I am finding a bit confusing about whether I want to do anymore). Early night!

Sun- Gym, football and then an evening poker session round mine which as is my custom I lost pretty early, bought back in and duely lost again :D

Fri: Had to rush to the theatre to do some audio description work I'd committed myself to doing before I left my last job, so spent the evening doing that before rushing down to the Sub Club via Macsorleys Music Bar, for the wonderful Alex Under at the equally wonderful Freq. Good night with great company although whilst the idea was to have a reasonably early one and restrain myself, ended up having several double G&Ts and stayed until 3.30am.

Sat: Up reasonably early to be back at the theatre for more work with the visually impaired. Felt seriously ropey but a pear salsa and stilton sandwich and a bottle of Snapple sorted me out and I did a brilliant job on autopilot. Returned home at 4pm and slowly got myself ready for the night ahead, whilst watching X Factor, of course!

Went for a few drinks and dips at a mates before heading to the Soundhaus for Monox with Warp's Ultradyne and UR's DJ Clandestine/Buzz Gorree. Tbh, the local djs impressed more and I just spent the night with more G&Ts chatting to mates. Got fairly merry and headed to a mate's with a fair few others for more merriment before I had to call it a day at 1pm yesterday in order to get home to watch City vs Spurs and find my head.

Thankfully overslept so missed the first 30 mins of the game which was truly dire. City recovered a bit and Joey's goal was sweet but 2-1 defeat at home not the best when you're feeling fragile.

Bit more sleep and then spent the evening taking it easy and getting ready for work.

Roll on this weekend and the start of my two-week break. 8)

Sun - Worst day ever, had to take my dog to be put to sleep, i am devastated  he took diabetes a few weeks ago and me and my mum have been injecting him everyday but his kidneys failed and we had to get him put to sleep. I got him for my 17th birthday so he would have been 9 this year. Im going to miss him so much, its lethal how you get so attached to a dog.

I'm really sorry to hear your bad news :(

Cheers. Another recovery day today and back in the office tomorrow.

And then....Zurich on Sunday. Might be staying over before travelling on to Scuol on Christmas morning. If we do, any bar/restaurant recommendations for Christmas Eve?

hi buckley!

are you going to scuol for snowboarding/skiing???

well...zurich has a lots of cool (and uber-cool) bars & restaurants to offer...what exactly are you up for? a nice dinner? some cool drinks? or morely clubbing? drop me a pm and i'll sort you out what'cha want ;)

So i wouldve liked it then? Did paul enjoy it? We usually have very similar tastes. I dont trust reviews from people who dont like Type or The Cross
;)

 You'd have probably liked it cos you have no taste buds  ;)

The general consensus (apart from Gollum who is still in the beginners class  ;) ) was that it was good but we'd all seen Sasha play a lot better.

I'm really sorry to hear your bad news :(

thanks. well we buried him last night it was awful, we wrapped him in his fav towel (one of my ibiza beach towels bought a few years ago) and buried is fav toy with him. i know you will all think im crazy but it did look like he was smiling.

Fri - drove to Bath, seemed to fly past even though it took about 2 hours, arrived at the Hilton, was people bopping away to YMCA at 4 in the afternoon, some xmas party, was hilarious to watch. We then went for a mooch round the shops, found the best top shop, we were both like big kids going "ooh ahh wow! I had this when I was younger" at all the toys, looked in a few other shops. Then went to lovely italian for dinner (only half enjoyed it due to the stinking cold I have and STILL have), then went to a cool bar called Revolution and got merry, danced about etc etc, was debating a club but thought we save ourselves for Sat, gatecrashed the office parties that were still going on instead!

Sat - more shopping, back in the toy shop again (dont ask it wasnt my nephews we were buying for) found the most hilarious flying monkey toy, you have to see it to find it funny but still we were in stitches. By the time we had finished shopping we were starving but couldnt find anywhere/make a decision on what to have so we ended up having room service whilst wathcing a bit of the X Factor  then out on the town again, this time we made it to a club, was good night.

Sun - checked out the lovely Hilton  . Dosed myself up again determined to banish this cold, went to the Roman Baths, we decided it had to be done while we were there, was very interesting. Back round the shops one last time, stopped for a coffee then back to home. Was a lovely break wish I was still there.

Mon - we both called in sick at work and dossed about, a much needed rest

Back to the grind today (still ill)

Fri: Saw my girlfriend off to the airport in the early afternoon. She's going home to Italy for three weeks over Christmas:( :( Missing her much more than expected...

At night, went to Girls on Top @ Snafu...great night!:p

Sat: Ended up getting to sleep at 7am, then had to get up at 9am to go to visit relatives all day in Dundee:lol: 8O 8O Struggled all day!

At night we had a party at mine before heading into town...end up getting home at 4pm Sun...

Sun:...see Sat... :?

Felt awful yesterday!

Office Christmas party kicked off the weekend in true style on Thursday night - got horribly horribly drunk

Evening started off badly when I got caught up in traffic and was over an hour late for the party starting so ended up necking 3 glasses of champagne in 15 mins - then started on the free wine with the meal, swiftly moving on to double G&T's, probably the most outrageous for drunken behaviour in the 10 years I have been involved in these parties - absolutely brilliant - my favourite part was when one of the top Execs got accidently kicked in the face by a rogue Cossack dancer - quality comedy moment...  remember being dragged to the loos and a little livener being dispensed which made the night even funnier, when about 10 of us decided to go to Digital for Stonelove Indie night (in our Christmas finery :? :? :? ) vaguely remember getting home and giving the driver £20 for a £9 journey as I couldnt get out of the car quick enough when the car pulled up outside my house and he uttered .....

"here's a tip for you love, for 45% of young women being attacked/raped over the holidays this will happen 25 yards from their own front door!! Now have a merry Christmas" F***ing hell that was like the most sobering moment ever!! 8O 8O

Fri: Still drunk til lunchtime - then I went to the library and then did a bit of shopping - bed by 10.00pm

Sat: Really tired but struggled out to buy a new Chrimbly Tree and decs and then ate comforting food all evening - no alcohol... urgghhh (Shudder)

x that by 100 8O and it certainly sobered me up - probably trying to be helpful but jeez - talk about putting the fear of god into someone as they stumble down a quite dark back lane to reach their home!!:spank: :spank:
