Weekend Reports

Erol Alkan on Friday. Acted like a muppet and his music stank. Tonnes of hot arty chicks out though. Got in Saturday 7pm. Slept. Woke up. Slept some more. Back in work now.

Sun - Worst day ever, had to take my dog to be put to sleep, i am devastated  he took diabetes a few weeks ago and me and my mum have been injecting him everyday but his kidneys failed and we had to get him put to sleep. I got him for my 17th birthday so he would have been 9 this year. Im going to miss him so much, its lethal how you get so attached to a dog.

I am so so sorry for you - its a horrible thing, yet very brave thing to do - I am just coming to terms with doing that myself and that was 2 1/2 years ago...... my thoughts are with you and I am sending you a big hug!!

i am gutted i know he is better off but he really was part of our family. Dreading tonight as we are picking his remains up from vets and burying hims this evening  there really should be compassionate leave when you lose a pet :(
sorry to hear that! sadly I know the felling.. Sorry.

just saw that. sorry to hear about that Browneyedgirl. I lost me wee poodle pal this year. Still expect to see the wee thing when I come home at night. Sounds daft but Christmas will be weird without her around as she was always the most excited when it came to opening presents (seriously!).

Friday: After a couple of ok-ish weeks at turnmills recently, I was very pleased to see the Gallery back to its best.
Dave Seaman kicked things off for me brilliantly in his usual proggy-trancey style (probably the set of the night). Reminded me of his early Renaissance CD's. Tall Paul then housed it up a bit, with even more hands in the air tracks. His remix of Cafe del Mar blew the roof off 8)
Fergie then decided to take the night down a more dark and twisted (techno orientated) path, but somehow still euphoric for the main part.
Last and by no means least was Askew playing his traditional uplifting trance sound.

In between all this we managed to catch a bit of Tania von pear in T2 playing a quality blend of electro - tech house.

Its nights like this one that reminds me why I like the Gallery so much, superb combination of prog, house, techno and trance in the same room all night.

Sun: Saw barca lose very unluckily IMO in Japan:evil:

I don;t know how anyone stays there for that long! What time did you leave?

Until Askews final record, mustve been about 7.45 or so. Seriously mate, the music was spot on on friday, one of the few times this year ive acually been shouting "one more tune!!" once the lights came on.

thank you, it really wont be the same i had his sqeeky toy and stocking already bought, he really was like one of the family

Fri - flew to Bristol with the mother of all hangovers and managed to well and truly "christen" my mums new house which I was visiting for the first time! :? She was not best pleased to say the least!

Sat - Shopped like a maniac and realised I missed the hell out of Topshop, M&S, Warehouse, Gap and likes like that. Evening....had a random call from friends from London....surprise...they were in Bristol for the night and were on their usual "lets persuade Louise to move to London" mission....had a fantastic time feeling very merry and Christmassy!

Sun - shopped, drank, ate lots and laughed like a maniac with everyone.... All pre-arranged family plans out the window!

Mon - sat here writing this feeling rather  at the thought of getting on the plane in 2 hours to fly back to Spain.....

Aww there is nothing quite like being with family at Christmas im sure you are feeling sad

Friday: Out for dinner with some friends, then bar hopping. Early night.

Saturday: A bit of xmas shopping before catching bus to london to go to sisters birthday bash off oxford st. Stayed for a couple of hours before meeting up with a whole bunch of friends in China town whom I'd not seen for aaaaaages, followed by bar hopping in Soho until I was so drunk I couldn't see. Ended up in heaven and then back at home in oxford at 11am. No idea what happened at all to be honest. Probably was horrific and vile.

Sunday: Slept all day, felt under the weather with something that wasn't just a hangover.

Monday: Still felt ill so stayed in, but feeling better now.

I thought the Sasha warehouse party was brilliant - I didn't want to stop dancing all night. The pretty lady DJ was really good too. And they both played the air raid siren record or I kept thinking I could hear air raid sirens anyway. The venue was great but it did get really cold away from the middle of the dance floor. It was quite strange dancing next to people in coats, hats and gloves while I was in a short sleeved dress.

Sunday whizzed by in a blur of wine, cricket and football.

So i wouldve liked it then? Did paul enjoy it? We usually have very similar tastes. I dont trust reviews from people who dont like Type or The Cross
;)

I think you would have liked it, although Paul wasn't overly impressed. :?
