Weekend Plans

Coaching my son’s footy team Sunday, we topped the league so now we play 4th in the semi final, serious stuff! He’s also playing to be the under 11 island table tennis champ tomorrow, he’s top seeded! First 3 rounds tomorrow with hopefully a final on Wednesday. Huge weekend of sport 🙂

So in a cruel twist… my son lost in the semis of the under 11s, the pressure got to him ☹️ he had the melt down of all meltdowns in the carpark and was never going to play ever again. I talked him around and told him how proud etc etc, Fast forward a few hours and he’s beaten the lad he lost to, beaten the boy he would have played in the final, won his next 2 games and is now in the under 15 final on Wednesday……. Wtf,pressure in sport is mad a, if only u could bottle confidence and keep it in it pocket

The highs and lows! (I won 5 nil yesterday and then for our Vets Cup Final this morning, we were 4 nil down after 15 mins, 4-2 at half time, 4 all at FT and after AET lost 4-3 on pens)

We won 1-0 in our footy semi final 😊. Was a shocking game, proper scrappy and maybe weren’t even the best team but the boys got it done! Final is may 6th on a Wednesday night. The boys are absolutely buzzing about it! The team we play in the final is the only team we didn’t beat all season….. couple training sessions to go, we got this

We thought it was absolutely class in Manchester. Seen a few comments on socials that people weren't dancing - certainly not true on the floor of the Co-op, it was bouncing all night!

Expected some easy house into DnB to nicely set Prodigy up but Carl Cox smashed it from the get-go 🚀 Proper rave vibes from 7pm and Prodigy were good too.

Think I might have to go again 30th August 😅
 
Time flies when you're having fun! My trip to Copenhagen \ Stockholm \ Helsinki was incredible. Very cold though!
Attached a selection of photos. The ferry trip through the Stockholm Archipelago on the way to Helsinki is one of the most beautiful vistas I've seen. Some excellent food was had, and even managed two park runs (Copenhagen and Helsinki)

Last weekend was mostly spent working in the garden, plus a trip to Lotus Lounge in Clapham - a GF Chinese restaurant.

This weekend, heading up to Leeds to see some friends on the Friday (day trip), then catching up with some friends who have had little ones on Saturday.

Glasgow was great - I was in the seats but it looked like the dancefloor was breathing at times so not sure what they're on about. There was a moshpit during Prodigy and alot of lads topless on leaving the place. Must say the venue was superb everyone in and out very quickly and serve yourself and collect worked really well.

Carl played a very old skool rave set, the crowd went nuts for Playing with Knives and Move Your Body as to be expected. Prodigy were musically a bit heavy for me but the mrs loved it so all good.
