No Kids bliss 👌🏼

Back from Japan and already missing it. What an amazing place. Already planning the return trip.
Likewise Portugal. Only ever been on the beer before -playing football and a wedding.

This time: sun and blue skies in late November, 30 mile bike ride around a beautful natural park, horseriding on a Monday morning, amazing steaks, tapas lunches in the sunshine and far too many pastel de nata!

Luton Airport in the pissing rain was quite the sight when we landed last night:lol:

you might want to consider madeira: spectacular mountain scenery, lush green vegetation, lovely all year climate, sheer 580 metre cliffs, fabulous food, madeira wine, poncha, not a single irish bar, grand cafes, and apparently that little robot from star wars, cr7, is from madeira!
we went for my 70th and i took some photos

Christmas catch up on the sauce with the boys Saturday afternoon.

Sunday hopefully Myself and the Mrs pick up our new toy. A VW transporter with the plan to have a full conversion over the winter and ready for spring for the next chapter in that thing called life...

Jamiroquai — The Heels Of Steel Tour, at the Co-op live in Manchester on Saturday Evening 🕺

Then a Train down to London on Sunday for Hyrox Relays with two teams from my Gym, followed by a late night in the Capital (if we can find anywhere decent open late on a Sunday....>.<)

Interesting! Was considering a Boxing Day to early New Year family trip, but not sure if it's quite warm enough.....

(No Irish bars tho'! Where will I get a Guinness 0.0% )

Busy one ahead:

Tonight - lads of rugby training on astro so definitely on despite the rain.
Tommorow: pizza and Arsenal with boy 1, while Mrs B takes boy 2 to a rugby tournament (on same astro so deffo on!)
Saturday: Mrs will need to take kids to Ju-Jitsu as I have a 1.30 ko quarter-final in Acton, so have to leave earlier than usual. I'm straight out on a Xmas pub-crawl/dinner with 14 of our mates. Driving and Guinness 0.0 so no Sunday hangover.

Sunday: Mrs taking boy 1 to a lunch and cinema playdate with his best mate who moved away. I'll be taking boy 2 to his rugby match in the morning and then to his mate's birthday party at the local Powerleague.

Ideally, checking scores throughout the weekend will see an Arsenal win and losses for Chelsea, City and Liverpool. And Spurs, obviously

Fri - Mrs on her first works do. Church club for our son and he has been blagging me to go to the local pub for weeks.

Sat - mid morning u8 football, maybe a Christmas Wonderland at the local Uni which is a brilliant community event which pulls everyone in because the hands on activities/everything are all free. I like the diverse crowd, not that it's free 😁
Son's football team's Christmas party at some bounce place.

My works do at a fancy hotel, should be good. Afterwards will head into town until I'm bored of the music*, then taxi to another town where my friends have Jon Pleased Wimmin playing at their House night.

Sun - morning off. Have to be straight by 4pm when we go with Mrs' family for a Thai.

*Music can't be that bad, was in town until early hours after a work event last weekend 😅

Works bash tonight, kilt on, usually decent food and entertainment, and a free bar all night, so looking forward to it.

Kitchen party with the wife and son on Saturday. We’ve been clearing out a house and found a heap of vinyl in the loft, mainly 80’s stuff - Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, OMD and the like. I stupidly ditched my own vinyl collection when I moved house a few years ago, so I’ve bought a new turntable this week so I can play them. Lots of beer and wine, maybe a few cocktails, and getting all those records on.

Sunday night, going to see Madness in Aberdeen. That’ll be more beers and wine.

A proper 80’s weekender!

I miss the family kitchen party nights so much since my two moved out 🙁

I now need info on what happened in 2022!!
May have had too many pre-drinks and my partner in crime was sweeping bottles of wine people didn't want from other tables.

Fast forward to way too exuberant dancing around the dancefloor and somehow falling off my chair. Went to the toilet and my wife came looking for me after 20 minutes. Found me babbling rubbish to the IT Director.

Has not been repeated since.

Munich this evening for the weekend! Never been and I'd imagine it will be nice and festive this time of year. Going to a techno event, Contact, tomorrow which isn't really my thing but my friends wanted to go. If anyone has any good recommendations for the city (clubs or otherwise), let me know!

Train beers x work party danger!
Well beers would have been impossible anyway. Maybe shots just about with the amount of space on the first leg.

The 11am was cancelled so 3 times the people on the train. Stood up by the door the whole journey. Got very Ibiza dancefloor at peak time at each stop.
