Weekend Plans

You know what, we’re back already (partly due to the fact our supplies must of fell out my pocket somewhere, they’ll turn up now i bet) BUT we had 3 hours of a rocking time in there. So glad we went which was unlikely at 9.30pm

Luckily i had half / three quaters an m&m in the room and i actually did feel something this time, maybe bcos i was basically on a straight head when taking

Now gunna sit in the room finish the rest of supplies off which i left in the room on purpose and worry about our last day in the morn
Also just left having got up to go to the airport at 2am yesterday I couldn't continue haha

Enjoyed it though and the crowd was loving fergie

Crowd was spot on mate. The older lot put the youngings to shame , im somewhere in the middle at 33

But hardly any phones and when there was it was very brief. Plus everyone just full of e going for it , it was a proper rave!

Yeah toaly agree

Thought the order or djs could have been better though

Pvd went pretty hard then into tall paul who was pretty Melodic into ferries that went very hard

Either way - great night

Was in there far too early though 😂

I think a lot of people got excited and had their stuff a bit early too haha was a good dozen round us giving it big licks until about when pvd finished then no where to be seen

Didn’t realise how busy it was until we left was a nightmare getting out compared to the trusty place of the front left in the main room

Oh the main room was just perma 3am

The difference between the start of sandy Rivera on the terrace and the start of pvd in the main room was crazy

Two completely different nights

Didn’t even bother with the terrace at all even tho i blagged my lass to go as ‘we were going to see shapeshifters  obvs never the plan

But she was sober and literally was saying ‘this is unreal’ every 5 min😂

Tall Paul & Fergie were good, stayed for a bit of Mauro but bailed after 15 mins of him. Much better night than Tuesday and nowhere near as busy either.

Anyone see the guy in a proper tangle on arrival where the taxi rank is? His mates must have been a bit gutted about it and were saying to him “they won’t let you in and we can’t leave you here”.

Yeah think i know who you mean haha was lying down where the taxi dropped us. On our way out there was police pulling people going in for a search

Rare dinner date with the missus after work today. Courtesy of the outlaws who gave gave me a gift voucher for a nice Thai place in Highbury for my 50th 15 months (!) ago.

Friday - knock off early and meet the eldest for Arsenal and pizza

Saturday - take nippers for haircuts, drop them to Ju-Jitsu, check in on Pa Buckley's recovery. Then big cup game in the afternoon against local rival, 2 divisions above us.

Sunday - kids rugby training in morning (competitive games start next week when the youngest can really start wiping people out💪). Lunchtime to meet up with one my oldest friends who is back from Oz briefly, is schedules align. Back home for Arsenal game at the Toon!
All to plan bar my footy game where we lost 1-0. Detective Buckers has investigated because the oppo were so good, my team of 16-18 year old plus 3 of us in our 50s sweated blood to keep them out, but lost lost to a late deflected goal. Has since transpired that their 1st XI, who play 11 divisions above us, had their game called off and half of them started against us. Complaint filed with the Amateur FA and I expect a replay, if not to be awarded the game.

I just hope they don’t make too many more appearances and ruin it like Kevin and Perry
Hmm, yes and no.

Kevin and Perry lost its magic - but not its lineup. The original party back in 2022 will always be in my memory as one of the best clubbing experiences ever, but in the year 2025 I am just glad about any trance parties happening in Amnesia at all. If the name Kevin and Perry helps promote it - so be it.

Godskitchen was nice, but what slightly ruined it for me was a similar lineup to SHINE two days before - both with John 00 Fleming followed by PvD. Also it was my 12th party during the week (this year's ITE was a monster), so I got slightly tired partying 🤣

Yeah I get what you mean about Godskitchen, in fact I’m sure there were several tunes repeated from the Shine night by both PVD and John OO Fleming. But seeing them both in Amnesia just had a certain magic about it! Took me back to the old Cream days. Plus the Godskitchen crowd on Saturday were the best I’ve encountered in Ibiza for a long while.

12th party that’s some going!! It was a big ask right at the end but it was worth it I felt. Very glad I’d taken Friday night off and had a quiet day on Saturday so I was raring to go!

Need this weekend. After Pa Buckley's recent travails and ongoing recovery worries, my Uncle Michael died yesterday. Ma Buckley, in the midst of wearing herself out caring for Pa Buckley, while being unwell herself, is heartbroken her big brother is gone. He lived in America, and I hadn't seen him since I was a kid, don't think Mum had seen him for a long while, but she was close to him when they were younger. He was 86, had a good life and was about to have to be moved the a care home, which he didn't want. Heart attack and off he went. I like to think it was a final act of defiance. That generation of Irish who left poverty with nothing went out into the world and made their fortune against all the odds have all my admiration. RIP Uncle Michael.

Friday - Client meeting in Camden in the morning. Work from wherever after that, to enable meeting my boy for Arsenal and pizza.

Saturday - take the kids to Ju-Jitsu and then I've got a cup match in the afternoon.

Sunday - competitive rugby is back! Can't wait to see my youngest wiping bigger kids out in the season opening Tournament at ours. I'm on parking duty first thing. Don't know which I prefer, greeting people with a big smile or bossing them about!
