Absolutely broken after this, figuratively and literally. A small running issue I had before this (a tight hip) has led to problems walking. Whoops...
However, excellent long weekend. Review to come soon.

Last weekend we were due to go to Hidden for Esoulcultura but missus had some food poisoning and we couldnt go.
Tonight - chilling no booze
Sat - Danny Howells and Steve Parry at The Yard for a daytime sesh. Nice venue and expecting an older crowd.
Sun - Dog walk then i’m having 4 weeks off booze before our holiday to Nerja as things are getting a little “out of hand” atm with the sauce. I have no off switch so have to totally abstain.

Always a big weekend for me, this one. The football club I run hosts a season-opening footy tournament in memory of one of our lads, who died at 21, in 2021, with his Dad, my mate, presenting the trophy.
100 plus players plus supporters to keep happy for the day, weather looks good, so here we go

Off out for a few drinks with a friend tonight, don’t have a dog sitter so will only be for a couple of hours.
Hopefully I don’t manage to drink enough in that time to give me a hangover tomorrow as I’m off to my parents for lunch

Emerged from an excellent Burning Man experience. Will add a report but decided a long time ago we had to leave before the Burn to guarantee getting back to Vegas for flight.
Easy exit, long ass drive.
Sat - Tonight Insomniac x Tomorrowland at the Sphere.
I realise this is like partying Fri at Pacha, Saturday at Pikes, Sunday at Hi and flying to Magaluf for a foam party on Monday instead of going DC10 but best I can do

Back in the day before we went to Ibiza, the lads holidays were to Magaluf, think we went about 4/5 times. The foam party at BCM was class but pretty deadly. It was that packed on the dancefloor when the foam first started, you just swayed around with the crowd and hoped for the best.Emerged from an excellent Burning Man experience. Fri - rented an apartment in Liverpool for weekend with 10 lads for a stag do. Avoided looking at RA, still getting over last week but looking at the group it could be a lively weekend

Just had a fantastic hike in Ibiza with @stivi and a chap named frank. Some fantastic views in the north and a challenging hike for around 4 hours. Great knowledge from the guide and good coversation throughout! Fantastic way to start the day. Highly recommend! He catered to our abilities and as we were both pretty fit we had some challenging sections with some stunning viewpoints! Thanks again Stivi

Still broken literally - Seems like I've torn a muscle in my hip - physio not helping too much atm... possibly going to have to go for a scan.
Friday - Rest & quiet evening
Saturday - DJing at Star of Kings in London - I've had to ask for a stool to rest on, not ideal...
Sunday - Trip back to Bristol for my nieces first birthday - thankfully mostly on trains so can take it easy.

Shitting myself for this weekend. Pa Buckley, 79, about 8 years since Parkinson's diagnosis, hip replacement op tomorrow. He's in permanent pain, with referred pain from his hip to his knee. Potential general anaesthetic, which is risky in older people anyway, never mind a person with various health issues.
Taking him in at noon tomorrow, his pipedream of being out same day seems unlikely, but I'm staying local all weekend to get him/visit when needed. Not taking the eldest to Arsenal tomorrow, and then a sub will be watching my phone while I play football locally, on Saturday with ref warned an urgent substitution may be required. Kids' rugby is local Sunday morning so 1 eye on the scrum, one eye on the phone through out.
Once we get home the recovery may the worst. Stubborn old sod wouldn't let me sort a bed downstairs at home and reckons he only has to get updstairs once and do all the recuperation and rehab up there.
Keep 'em crossed for me gang!
