The dj set-up at East Quay, Watchet on Friday turned out to decent enough to waste a few hr. Vinyl decks in the court yard of the art centre on the harbour.

First chap on played house to pink floyd and everything in between, very West Country with a T-shirt that had paint on it, whilst smoking what looked like a bifter 😁
Next dj was a mix of r n b, house and finished with a small crowd skanking to D n B 😁

Crowd wasnt massive but a nice mix: locals, hippies/new age traveller types, tourists.
Our table had 7 to 82 yr olds on it 😁

Almost the weekend!

Friday - Out for dinner with friends

Saturday - Park run, then heading to Tinlicker @ Crystal Palace Bowl.

Sunday - Out for dinner with friends, and a lazy day otherwise

Counting down my time to Ibiza
 
Weekend starts tonight
My good friend who I partied with in Ibiza for 13 years, also an infrequent poster on here, gets married on Friday 🍾

Thursday - apartment at the venue, an old mill in Yorkshire. Beer and food in a couple of pubs - nothing too crazy, 6 ushers...what could go wrong 😁

Friday - wedding. Can not wait, should be a proper celebration, with a lot of friends from all over. I think there maybe 250+ with the night do 😅

Sat - home. Asked son's friend for first sleep over at ours. See how that goes.

Sunday - Mrs and I plan to take the two boys somehwere outside. Splash zone/beach/play area.

Thurs - arrived at Beat-herder festival, had a complete failure putting the awning on the caravan, stupid snapped pole 😒 bumbled about to see lots of friends whilst hearing some good music from Sarah Story/Denis Sulta/LF System in forested area of the festival.

Fri - wife arrived with some girls who are staying with us. Perfect festival weather, a day of colourful bliss 😍 Nothing mind blowing music wise except Orbital - music and production was class.

Sat - hoping to catch Beans on Toast/The Wailers/Leftfield/Darius Syrossion/East End Dubs + some smaller bands

Sun - Special Request and a run of classic house djs from 3-12pm in a fire pumping fortress 😁

Took the dog canoeing. Was, erm, interesting......

Got made redundant this morning. Knew it was coming, but still a shame after 7.5 years of battling away at it. Need something new for January I reckon if my figures are right.

That sucks. Went through it all myself 2 years ago. What have I learnt since then? If you have a skill/trade to fall back on, you're a lot better placed than someone who just dossed in an office for X years

Then I may be in trouble.......

Seriously though, I've worked out a bit of a food industry niche for myself over the last 15 years, hopefully I can put some of my skills and experience to use helping some new and small companies grow and achieve what they set out to achieve. The No Dickheads rule will remain in place indefinitely and I intend to be choosy about who I work with. Hopefully my MBA will help out too, final dissertation for that being submitted next week after 3 long long long years

What are you looking for and where? We're are so old now we've got connections everywhere.
 
This weekend has been a long time coming. Ibiza tomorrow, for my not-stag. Should be a good one with the lads.

Friday: Hi for METAMORFOSI (Extended Sven, yes please!)
Saturday: Either a villa down day, or Ushuaia for Ants. Potentially 528 in the evening but undecided.
Sunday: Pyramid at Amnesia
Monday: Prydz at Unvrs.

Going to be a busy but excellent few days ahead.

Have a good one. It’s the opposite end of the scale for me in a big way on Saturday - a day / night out in…Chesterfield 🥳😂
