Weekend Plans

My weekend will consist of glasto at home with wine and coaching my sons teams end of season footy tourn which lasts 6 hours tomorrow and 5 hours Sunday….. only 20 odd 10 year olds to look after! Fml 😂.

Floating points, Maribou state and allanis morrisette are on my faves for tonight, whos everyone else looking forward to?

Lorde was going off it for an 11.30am set. Been watching it all day, currently got blossoms on
 
Fri - church club/drink in the local. Been putting the spa up in the garden on son's request for his birthday party, not been out for 1 1/2yr.

Sat - cake run, breakfast out then my 40th birthday afternoon do, week early, with friends and family.
Rooftop bar, booked a disco/house dj, hired small sound system, pizza van - aiming for a chilled after christening vibe. Got the bar until whenever, said 3- 10 pm to people but many female friends are on a hen do (48 of them!) to races and plan to get dropped off in town... Could be a second wind.

Sunday - son's 7th birthday. Wanted pool, hot tub, water bomb party at home (just what we need). Suspected I'll walk around with sunnies on getting pelted by kids 😁
 
Sons team progressed into the top half of the tournamount for tomorrow although 8 games in this heat today has taken its toll! Plenty of tears but also plenty of goals! Now back in the garden tanning with a beer and glasto, tomorrow we go again

I've been thoroughly stitched up, apparently this nonsense takes half an hour - and he doesn't like water! He's a 30kg Boxer so who knows how this will go - I will report back stay tuned.

Same m8! Only started the coaching to help out a couple years back cos I watched my son every week anyway, but now I love all the little buggers! So rewarding.
Got through the group today but lost in the quarters. Great weekend. Back to glasto in the garden 😁☀️
 
Late to the party but, and boring, after a couple of weeks of ripping out the very very old bathroom and replacing with a very nice wet room affair* enjoyed a few showers :-)

Outside that sat in various establishments in Bristol in the sun with several ciders :)

(*in no way shape or form capable so paid someone to do it whilst watching)

Loads of good stuff this year... Maribou State, Floating Points, Four Tet, Badbadnotgood, Loyle Carner, Bob Vylan, Goat, Kae Tempest, Kneecap, Caribou, Yussef Dayes. A few I've checked out in full, a few I need to go back to. Overmono and The Prodigy on later.

Yeah agreed m8! Yet to check out caribou, will be tomorrow now, same with prodigy. But yeah good weekend of music ❤️
 
Feels like the weekend isn't far away, are the weeks shorter in summer?

Friday - Drop my Dad for his hip replacement first thing op, then get down for huge work meeting in Camden. Watching phone for Dad updates all day. All being well, Arsenal and pizza with the eldest. Gaelic training not on, on Friday, so potential plan to make it back to pick up youngest for Arsenal too .

Saturday - Early start for the GAA ABCs (Gaelic All Britain Competition). No idea what to expect but seems to a big deal! Look like an all day affair.

Sunday - My birthday, the missus has something planned, that she tells me is something physcial that would be ruined with a hangover, so I cancelled plans to have a rare boozey night out the night before. That takes us to middle of the day apparently, and then then we'll be heading to a local festival to represent our rugby club. Kids will being doing a display and we'll be doing some recruiting.

Thanks mate. He's been having severe knee pain for a couple of years at least, and it transpires it's referred from his hip. Waited ages for the op date, then was anaemic so they couldn't operate, had to have an infustion, then had the flu/Covid/something so they couldn't operate a couple of weeks back. Fingers crossed he gets in and done on Friday. Hoping the rest of his Parkinsons symptoms will calm down if he's in less pain and gets more sleep.

Las Dalias tonight - just the garden as I have a spin class at 7:45 tomorrow :spank:

Hosting a (loosely themed) 4th July BBQ tomorrow. Though we've named it 'Nacho Average 4th July: Stars, Stripes and Salted Rims'. The consensus from my last BBQ is that we wanted Mexican food so 🤣

Saturday recover + chill day

Sunday morning workout + a bit of an office day!
