Weekend Plans

Hope you enjoyed the footy as much as I did 😀. I expect Monday will be a closer match and should you get an early goal, we will be under pressure.
Am not a nailed on City fan, was more there for the occasion than any expectation. Thought they were absolutely dreadful though. The whole second half they were playing for a 1-0 loss, but gaps everywhere, particularly after the red card. Enjoy Wembley!

Liberation day in Guernsey today, 80 years of freedom! Just done the local lib day 7 mile run and walked the dog. 1940s fancy dress party at my mums house with a few beers and wines to celebrate the day 🥳
final day of footy coaching for the season tomorrow, the parents penalty shootout is always fun!! Have a good one peeps x

Today: try to recover from last nights antics - Uno Malta for Maria Healey. Currently hoping a wine will fix me
Tonight: Uno again for some classic trance with Dave Pearce and Lange
Tomorrow: completely regret tonight’s decisions, cafe del mar Malta for chicane, back to Uno for more trance action.
Sunday: feel like death, one more night to go but will be in to see @Ikoda do his thing on the decks!
Monday: will somehow need to be at the airport for 10. Fly home from Malta. Cry.

Love to see this. Back in the day there was quite a few Spotlight DJs playing out and about, with other Spotlighters on the dancefloor.

Give him a big high five from me

Are you still on course?? Sounding like an epic weekend! How was chicane?

Friday: work, then fly to Ibiza in the afternoon, then Slip Back in Time @Es Paradis at night 😍
Saturday: beach/hike/explore during the day, Pikes House Party at night
Sunday: beach day (if the weather forecast holds)
Monday: beach time, fly back home in the afternoon
Young lad I know, Matty Robbo is playing a few gigs for the Slip Back in Time week. Great house dj and nice lad, not on the Friday event though. Have a good un 👌

Mrs is going Mallorca for 10 days in the morning, two hen does back-to-back... lad and me against the world 😅😁

Fri - dining out (his choice)

Sat - I have to attend a conference, so he will stay out at grandparent's house.

Sun - worryingly been invited to a baby shower/engagement/gender revel party. Although this mate sounds like a twat for entertaining the idea, he is actually sound - can't imagine what he had done to agree to that trio event. Even more worrying that's 2 baby showers on the bounce, 40 years ive never been to one - 2 in 2 weeks 😒
Taking my mother out for a birthday meal early evening.

One weekend without cooking competed ✅

Was in London town last weekend following a family thing on coast and packed a lot in. Stayed out East and it was optimal pub garden weather, something I do miss. Popped into a cool exhib at the docklands museum about the history of the mudlarks who scavenged the river for centuries (something I knew nothing about). I enjoyed our pub crawl into town loosely following the river and DLR. You know you've been gone a long time when a £7 pint makes you wince.

Saw all these floating, hermetically sealed jacuzzis in the docks, which I guess summed up the suspended reality of it all. Big money oozes everywhere. Also found ourselves at pilgrim pizza next to a load of Spanish guys who were off to craven cottage the next day to see someone's cousin who is in the Fulham team. There was an additional surreal quality to Coals Drop Yard in King's Cross, once a network of dirty rave dens off York Way and now markets and bars and djs playing nu-jazz to cackling women on the Pinot. The new reality. All that's left are the memories.

Of course, I somehow got the wrong airport on the way back, but thankfully (as per usual) my missus saved the day, and we hotfooted across town. Whitechapel to Acton in minutes. Something I cannot get my head around. The 1980s District Line crew will understand.

Back in southern climes, keeping busy, now writing stuff for TP + seeing a Spotlighter on Monday, meeting fam for first time too. We've certainly come a long way!
