Weekend Plans

No 1st time, but have a couple of friends who have been before so know what to expect (carnage)!

Re. Canapes.

1/ Crusts off toast, cut remaining bread into canape sized chunks, make mini toasties held together with cocktail sticks.

2/ Smear Philadelphia on smoked salmon slices, Roll up into a "roulade" effect chop into bite sized pieces.

Thanx, I will... oops you weren't talking to me! :p :spank:

i wasn't, but have a wicked time in serbia ;)

I just can't wait to use all the new gear!

Tea bags, splints (to light mini camping stove) and all other essentials were acquired last night.

Picked up a leaflet for some 3 peaks challenge or something, which is like a marathon, but with moutains and camping and sensible footwear. I don't think I'm ever going to use a hotel ever again.

awwwwwww im absolutely mad for camping i just love it
you can not beat waking up and getting out of ya tent to fresh air (preferably in the middle of nowhere surrounded by gorgeous scenary) and breakfast on the camping stove:D
that'l be me in august

but this weekend, cant wait, finish work on friday for 12 days and off to somerset:D

Fri - Go to Drogheda to see the local team Bohemians (or Bohs for short) play Drogheda surprisingly enough:lol:, back to Dublin will know doubt end up a late drinking session around one of the local pubs.

Sat- Try and force myself into the gym, head home and chill out.

Sun- It's the Leinster Final :D you folks probably never heard of Gaelic Football (an Irish sport) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaelic_football) but anyway Dublin play Laois and there will be 80,000 there, 65,000 of them Dubs so should be a good day out.

The number of Irish pub soccer teams I've played against who cheer long punts down the pitch while shouting 'rise the ball' and warning their players to 'watch the hop' can't be counted mate.

Not really looking forward to this, but Thursday going off to a 5 day stag weekend in Tignes, up the Alps in France!!

Thursday, fly to Geneva, hire a car, heading up the Mountain!!
Friday, spend a day skiing the Glacier!! Sounds superb skiing in July, but Fri 13th makes me a little anxious! Believe getting propper insurance!
Saturday, quad biking & cycling! Beyond the fact that the Groom knows punters in Tignes, the reason we're going there, is that Le Tour De France passes thro' there on the Sunday, and he wants us to cycle the stage on the Saturday!! WTF!!
Sunday, lunch at some restaurant with a terrace, then watch the freaks in Lycra go past! Main session that night!!

Why can't people have a 1 night stag in London!!

They play it on hough end fields by my rugby club - proper quality mans game, played by mentalists!

I've never dissed Chorlton, have I? Satanists shagged from the Irish Centre aside, of course:lol:

I'll dig it out at lunch!

I remember one of my first ever posts was 'had a nice day in chorlton'

you said...

'Ive been in chorlton this weekend and the one thing it isnt is nice'!!

I spent the next day rebutting the statement!

Let me know how it goes.

I'm doing nothing of note this weekend!

Really? That must of been in regard to the satanist incident. I've got some very good friends in Chorlton.

Body & Soul @ Canvas! Can't wait.
Anyone recommend any decent bars for pre-disco drinks?

If you want something nice you've got The Big Chill House http://www.bigchill.net/house.html

Tbh as it's an early start and I don't want to miss any of the 9 hours B&S extravaganza we are probably going to The Waiting Room on York Way cos it's on the way to Canvas.

Anything on the way sounds perfect, I don't want to use precious dancing energy on walking anywhere!!! Might see you in there.

You can't miss it if you're coming from Kings X station - it's on the rhs and attached to a hotel (can never remember which one but a travelodge/Premier Inn type thingy) but we like it cos you get seat and can talk (god I sound like such an old woman ) http://fancyapint.com/pubs/pub3140.html

We might be staying at the Premeir Travel Inn - if I can persuade my friend so that sounds perfect. Cheers!
I'm really looking forward to this! Haven't been out in ages & I LOVE Danny Krivit!
