Thurs - out with the FLS for food and wine

Fri - Tom has got honorary membership into the TCR gang for the evening so meeting up with Jon and Bec for usual Friday night TCR drinks, then we are going to Randall & Aubin (yum yum )

Sat - meeting all the usual suspects for pre-drinks, then the legendary Francois K, Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell @ Canvas

Sun - usual destroying and aftershow antics back at ours

oh i cannot wait for saturday its my little girls 4th birthday and i think i am looking forward to it more then her.Plan of action i wake up early try to wake her up with lots of noise around the house.we open presents and then play ( got her first big girls bike & this really cool dressing table lights up sound everything)in the afternoon family coming down from londonchildrensparty at the leisure centre for her and her friends big bouncy castle etc.then a bbq and knees up back at the house loads of family staying over should be good.then sunday i will be running the race for life again for cancer research.thats it in a nutshell

I just can't wait to use all the new gear!

Tea bags, splints (to light mini camping stove) and all other essentials were acquired last night.

Picked up a leaflet for some 3 peaks challenge or something, which is like a marathon, but with moutains and camping and sensible footwear. I don't think I'm ever going to use a hotel ever again.

I just dont get this camping thingummyjig - why would you want to go somewhere and spend time in less comfort than you would at home? I mean I know I am a HMW and understand it would be difficult for someone who likes their super-comforts to go off camping, but every single one of my friends are well into it and I still just dont understand it at all....

eating stuff cooked over a camping stove

Anyway, I digress - plans for the weekend - celebrate my new promotion and get severely hammered - dont start the new job until next Fri

Exactly!! Although my friends have offered to make me a starter kit, ie; pitch (see I even know the camping language) their tent in my garden so that if it gets too much I can nip inside......

Thursday - Sunday Exit festival, where I shall be seeing the likes of the prodigy, beastie boys, Roger Sanchez, Frankie knuckles and Danny tenaglia in a Fortress on the banks of the Danube8)

See you at the front... only we are staying in a apartment with a roof terrace, hot tub and BBQ zone!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!

Me, Friday back on Wiggle driving the missus to the airport on Sat morning she can fly out on holiday (grrrrrrrrr!) sat night party in Chorlton (WHICH FOR THE BENEFIT OF BUCKLEY IS NICE!), sunday i agreed to host my grans birthday party for the family which will be an experience.

Anyone know any simple canape recipies?!

No 1st time, but have a couple of friends who have been before so know what to expect (carnage)!

Re. Canapes.

1/ Crusts off toast, cut remaining bread into canape sized chunks, make mini toasties held together with cocktail sticks.

2/ Smear Philadelphia on smoked salmon slices, Roll up into a "roulade" effect chop into bite sized pieces.
