I find it so hard to get a good vegetarian roast
The 2 best I've found (and I've road tested lots of veggie roasts) are both Carter's pubs but might be further than you'd want to go.
Been - agreed, absolutely yummy. I'm not sure I can be arsed to trek oop norf after my Saturday nighter tho.

We've gone straight for the romantic option of San An with 8 friends!! Then we've got 3 nights at Pikes, but that's just the two of us though! And for one night only in PDB with 2 friends who are over from the States. Not your stereo-typical honeymoon but fun all the same
As you will no doubt know The Hop Poles in Brighton does a fab veggie roast as well but that's probably a trek and a half for you

Beaten by the Queen's head but it's under new ownership now.
No name cafe is also reeeally nice.
Thought it must be Ibiza round two soon for your babs but didn't like to ask because I am VERY jealous!!!

The bunker roast beats them all hands down!
If you bring the doggies to visit you'll get fake sausages wrapped in fake bacon, stuffed mushrooms, nut/lentil roasts, red wine gravy and the best roasters in east London (can't speak for the west obviously as we're not quite that posh).
Well there's an offer me and the doggies can't refuse

Yep both Carter's places do THE best roast - better than the Big Chill (I just didn't send you there with your mum cos Keston Lodge was a bit far away for you in Islington and Lock Tavern attracts a few reprobates on Sundays and I didn't want to scare your mum
My mum loved the Big CHill, she felt very sophisticated and cosmopolitan eating a sunday roast with all that young londoners around

Aww good luck with it all. Im doing it next year, but we're actually getting married in Ibiza!!!
My w/e plans are
Fri - Mine and Paulys engagement party (after having it postponed twice we're finally having it 3 months after getting engaged lol!) Got people coming from all over the UK, so we've got a houseful!!
Sat - probably recovering from friday
Sun - Prob still recovering lol!
