Weekend Plans

Type at The Cross 8)

Aside from Carter ;) , Cedric Gervais is playing, he's the Space (miami) resident, so a bit curious to see what he'll be like.

maybe we'll bump into Sirens as we leave!

Straight home after, no kidnappings allowed.

A nice quiet weekend in the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire spending all our time doing as little as possible, enjoying the spa, tennis, golf, horse riding etc......and avoiding all temptations of the Cross, Vauxhall etc etc. 8)

That's just up the road from my house Stephen... very fancy hotel too ;) It seems you're in my neck of the woods this weekend and I'm in yours!

My weekend goes a little something like this:

Friday - Comedy club then cheesey club with friends

Saturday - Flying to Dublin (hopefully) for a night on the town with Jon's cousins. I've heard that Dublin are playing in the All ireland Gaelic football quarter finals so aparantly this should be a good game, and an even better p1ss up!

Sunday - Find a nice Irish country pub for a roas and drinks

Monday - Train down to Waterford on the coast of Ireland for two days relaxation, country walks and horseriding :D

Can't wait!

Oh god I forgot you were flying this wkend (you really don't have much luck with transport do you what with train strikes and airport delays  ;) ), the situation looks like it's getting worse at the mo but hopefully it should be better by the wkend.

I know I feel someone is trying to tell me to stop taking so much time off work or something lol.
I'm flying from Luton, it's not one of the major airports so fingers x'd it wont be too bad by Saturday.
I almost booked flights from Heathrow though, glad I didn't now!

How funny!! Im up by you in Watford and your off to my home town.

Dublin are playing this weekend so should be a good time for all in Dublin. Im sure tickets will be scarce but if you or Jon get a chance to go you should really try and go. Croke Park is amazing for any GAA game!! Its the 4th largest stadium in Europe after the Camp Nou, San Siro and I think the main stadium in Kiev........which makes it such a joke that they havent allowed soccer or rugby to be played there (that is up until next year!!).

If your looking for suggestions for country pubs, you cant go far wrong with Johnny Foxes in the Dublin mountains (www.jfp.ie). It should only take you about 45 mins to get there from City Centre if your driving.

Hope you have a great time.

Yay the weekend 8)

Fri - No plans. Probably finish work go to the gym and watch BB eviction and see who is going to be put back into the House.

Sat - Got to work  Then drinks in the evening before heading out for Yousef @ Motel.

Sun - Fringe Festival Sunday so go to the park (Meadows) and see whats on.

I've got a real hunger on this week so plans to spend the whole weekend eating out and baking cake.

Got a mad one next weekend so gonna just chill and EAT.

I’m from Dublin and agree Johnny Foxes is great craic. They usually have Irish dancers and a band playing all the old Irish songs. Johnny Foxes is the highest pub in Ireland.. if its really old Irish craic your after go there.

Theres plenty of old Irish bars in the city tho.

The main bars I’d go to would be on Georges St. Hogans, The Globe, The Village, Whelans. These are all great bars. Ri Ra’s is pretty cool aswell. It’s a nite club downstairs in The Globe. These pubs are all pretty casual but theres always a good crowd.

For a nice restaurant I’d suggest Elephant and Castle in Temple bar. Its cheap and cheerful.. you must try their famous Chicken wings. I think they put in a magic sauce to get people addicted.. yummy…

If your looking for somewhere to go the pod never lets me down. Crawdaddy is a great spot. It’s cheap enough and it gets a nice crowd. Saturday nights are usually funky house. Dublin’s not great for big clubs we’ve only one main one called Spirit which is good but sometimes can attract the wrong crowd. But we’ve some really cool small venues.

These would be the main places i'd go for a good night.
