Does Fire have a terrace now? Where? I can't picture it.

yeah it just opened either last weekend or the weekend before (so i believe). I havent seen it yet but I guess it is out the back by the car park. They even have some sort of paddling pool. 8O 8O

I once phoned in sick from work from that car park, completely off my head, telling cars and trains to shhh and be quiet.

You're not the first person who has struggled to get his head around the idea! 8) Basically when you go into Fire via the Later entrance (back entrance) the terrace is behind the fence where the security stand (it is essentially built in the large alley/car park. When you enter Later's coat check you would normall walk to the coat check at the back and then turn right to go into the club but if you turn around and walk back to the exit and veer to your right you will enter the terrace.

It is *pure* Vauxhall trash in that it is built in a carpark over looked by a block of flats on one side and on the other side is next to the railway bridge that takes the Eurostar (quite what the passengers make of the bizarre sight of a large number of men in their speedos and shorts eating burgers and collapsing in a makeshift terrace I cannot say!).

The terrace is great fun and I regularly describe this oasis in the middle of urban squalor as "Ibiza Vauxhall-style!".

It opened over a month ago now. It consists of beach tables and umbrellas with chairs, a fairly large bbq selling burgers, hot dogs, drinks and ice cream, a paddling pool (which some people strip down to their knickers to use) and, on the far side, two marquee style tents with seating for those who want to get out of the sun but stay outside.

Because the weather has been so good recently Later has not been as packed as normal but as this weekend is EuroPride I suspect this will be the best weekend to check out the club and the new terrace.

Exhausted, so I'll probably perch in my armchair and watch the World Cup 1/4 finals tonight and tomorrow.

Though it would be a shame to miss Harry "Choo Choo" Romero at Fabrique tonight :?

SAT - beer + a birthday party = A LOT OF FUN !!!
