Do you go to any other clubs besides Ministry?

Errr now and again

Why go anywhere else when you've got all your friends there, you're allowed to bint around the DJ booth, a late closing and normally the best line-ups :D

The only other club I really like in London Town is The End. Of the rest of the big clubs:

The Cross - to full of people walking around and chatting away as if they're in a house party
Turnmills - used to like it but they ram it too much plus I've been put off the place since some tourist tw@t decided to drop a bottle on my head cos I 'rejected' his advances
Fabric - fab club but terrible terrible tourist crowd, last time we went I was being groped by a sweaty German so we did a runner to Ministry after 2 hours
Pacha - let's not even go there these days

That said I will go to the above if someone really good is playing who you don't get to see in FLT very often but generally Ministry serves all my clubbing needs  ;)
Duly noted. ;)

I just know I get tired of rotating among the same 4 clubs I usually frequent (Fabrique, XIII, L'eto, First) so I'm always happy for a change of pace (like London, Ibiza  )

I liked The Cross when I went... haven't had any luck with The End (tried to go for NYE once but it was sold out, the other time it was a rock night and they said we were to well dressed! 8O ). I haven't tried Turnmills or Fabrique yet.

Must say that I do like Ministry a lot, and they get a lot of good nights going.

The thing is every wkend Ministry have a different night music policy wise so every wk the music is completely diffferent. If it was the same old music every week then I'd definitely get bored but each night they put on plays different music and attracts different crowd.

I like The Cross on Fridays when it's Fiction their mixed night but I've been to so many Saturday nights there (Renaissance, Type, Serious) and it just never goes off, too full of people milling around trying to look glam and talking  Ffs you're in a club, dance

You're not really missing out on Turnmills or Fabric , terrible touristy crowd and by that I mean people who are in a club and shouldn't be, they probably don't have a clue who's playing or anything and the blokes are a mare, just trying to pull anything in a skirt

No, it is my relatives that I'm looking after

Pauls brother has fishing lakes in Pembury in Kent, about 9 acres, and he's slowly been getting animals over there too, it is really lovely down there, especially in the nice weather :D

oh, forgot to add ferret to the list too

Morbyd, can I just point out this is her view, and is not necessarily that of everyone else. Theres one topic I always avoid with Barbie when I see her, and thats this one

When theres a big DJ in any club its going to be rammed, its always best to go to when its just a medium size DJ, ie when Type has Jon Carter next month  or when Turnmills have the likes of Nick Warren.. etc they dont draw the huge crowds yet you are guarenteed great music + still a good atmosphere.

Thats it from me..

oh plans..

Friday: Sailing, then Turnmills or afterparty or both
Sat:Not sure.. probably nothing, but slim chance of The Cross.
Sun:Nothing

Looking at where might be heading this weekend, its likely I wont bump into Barbie then..

But the fundamental layout of Turnmills and the Cross is such that 90% of the space is a walkway, ergo you get people walking past you all night, so you can't really "get your groove on", and instead of bodypopping like a trooper, you just end up getting sick of it all and become one of the standing masses.

Ministry may have its faults, but the layout is good (tho preferred the old (pre vip room swap) style massively), and so is the sound (something taken for granted by many).

Fri: down in Brighton with my cousin, seeing Easy Star All Stars @ Komedia (heard of them? thought not ), then some clubbing shenanigans no doubt

Sat: more Brighton fun and frolics in the sun 8) :D, perhaps catching up later with el saucer ;)

Sun: return home

90%??
The Cross: Given theres a silly pathway near the front of the dancefloor to get to the toilets etc, but if you dance just behind that or right near the front youre ok. The garden at The Cross is still in my opinion the best clubbing area to dance in, in any club in london, specially how it went off this saturday.

Turnmills: Wheres the path way there?? you just walk round the side of the dance floor to get to the back of the main room dont you??
Agreed when its rammed it can be a pain, but that goes with every club. Barbie has a point about Turnmills sleazy crowd, but the last few times its been better than usual I think

Like I always end up saying, we'll agree to disagree, and thank god we all like a variety of places 8)

Fri - Life on the Ocean waves hopefully!

Sat - Dread to think

Sun - Royal International Ait Tattoo 8)

Hey N8 I really want to go to this but has discounted it as I am going to be out Fri and Sat. Are you driving down to it and what time does it all start.

Went last year it was amazing, it may sound a bit spoddy to some but seeing and hearing those F16 et al is exilerating.

HmmmI wonder if that feeling would be enhanced from the night before mediaction :?:
