Weekend (and Valentine's) Plans

It's Friday and still no weekend plans thread! What were we thinking?

Tonight - Just been invited for happy hour drinks with some old co-workers. Later on, over to Fabrique for the club's 3rd birthday party and the musical stylings of DJ Norman Jay :D

Saturday - Afternoon trip to our regular sports bar for the football. Evening plans t.b.d.

Valentine's Day - Well, I hate Valentine's and usually intentionally ignore the day, but I think this year the missus & I will attend a romantic program at the club B1 put on by DJ Claude Challe :D (love his mixes)

john, i reckon you go clubbing more than anyone else on here. normally fit in 2 a week pretty much every week.

Friday: No plans, possibly paul woolford at slide here in oxford, he was excellent last time he played here so will definitely be worth going to.

Saturday: Might have to pop into the office during the day 8O again urgh, in the evening it's circo loco at the end     followed by hopefully me at the end of the night saying 'I'm going to go and catch the bus back to Oxford right away' as I can't cope with yet another trip to the toilet 8O 8O 8O

(well, maybe I'll pop into one afterhours :spank: )

Sunday: Die, try not to get home at 9pm again.

Definitely taking some time off after this weekend 8O

Yes, I'm usually out 2 nights a week. But, as has been discussed here before, I usually do two 12-14 hour sessions and get a bit of rest in between, as opposed to caning it straight through for 24hrs and looking like this 8O.

Ferd - Fabrique has 2 floors - on the ground floor there are tables and an outdoor area, downstairs is a long bar, some sofas, and a decent sized dancefloor. In terms of layout, it reminds me a bit of Turnmills but there's only one dance floor (though it's a better dancefloor than Turnmills' main room, imo)

It has the best outdoor chill-out area I've seen anywhere (except El Divino terrace or Pacha rooftop, of course). For winter, they've enclosed the part where the bar is with a clear plastic tarp and added a bit of heating. The rest they've turned into an ice skating rink - picture wasted people stumbling about on ice skates

You can see some photos here: http://www.fabrique.ru/main/photogallery

I haven't been going to Fabrique as much lately. It's kind of my fall-back club. B1 Maximum, which is a proper large club (with an unfortunate name), has been getting some great DJs lately (Rampling, de Crecy, Knuckles, Claude Challe) and some good live acts too, usually on weekdays (Sisters of Mercy and Chuck Berry, for example).

Come visit, Ferd. Guaranteed good time.
