I really hope this was a one off - but personally i find nastydirtysexmusic to be pretty one dimensional....and this new electro sound just doesn't really work (or nobody has worked out how to dj a good set of it yet!)....and on top of that Danny Tenaglia just played the most in-accessible tech-house i have ever heard. Ok for some clubs - but Space is all about "accessible" music...
mike.

This doesn't bode well for WLS Closing in Sept -- hopefully Danny will pull a killer set out of the bag for this  Very much looking forward to hearing Fanciulli on the terrace though :D

Same here! I'm looking forward to Fanciulli, Ghenacia and Woolford the most. :D

Dont let me worry you....i still think tennaglia is great....but when i saw him he was playing stuff that normally i wouldn't associate with him.

am sure it will be great next time.

Danny T probably played my bestest ever terrace set ever

mine too. same day i think ;)

i am keeping my optomistic had on for september though. as long as la tenaglia doesnt strech every record out for 20mins, we should be ok

just to add to this...we asked everybody we knew who had been there on the 24th - about 15-20 people and they all agreed....so i am sure it wasn't just my personal opinion.

One guy commented that he had been wandering around each room in Space to find something that was listenable...and all the rooms were playing exactly the same sound (really hard, tech) - surely that just defeats the object of having 3 distinctive rooms???!!!

maybe it was just a bad day at the office.

I was there and the vibe seemed pretty good to me.

Spotlight does the Space site and so you could say I'm partial, but everybody I saw and took photos of looked like they were having a good time.

The new sunset terrace wasn't playing what I'd call "hard" music. However I agree what they play on the terrace and the discoteca does overlap somewhat.

I recommend the Red Box and the premier étage upstairs if you're not looking to rave.

hi mick,

i'm not disagreeing with you...the vibe is always good at space! lots of smiling faces :) and i definitely had a good day - talking rubbish with all the randoms etc!!!

I guess i just wrote something because it was a strong perception that my crowd and a lot of people we hadn't met before had experienced that day...all of us being space regulars - thats all.

I guess it was a bit disapointing for us to hear a lot of the dj's admit that the sets hadn't really been up to scratch either. We were stood next to the main dj booth all day chatting to tim sheridan and darren hughes and all the back to basics lads....oh well.

That said - the set outside could have been blinding as i missed it from 6pm completely !
