Tenaglia any good? and what about Lavelle and Zabiela?

had to leave early due to illness mick so would appreciate your opinions
Actually my girlfriend was feeling a bit poorly too so I stayed home with her.

Mulletover in the morning was good tho!

I'm an inpatient missy so any idea of times for the 17th  I think I read somewhere that Jeff Mills is closing the terrace - any ideas for lovely ladieeeee Lottie and the man Felix :D

Jeff Mills no longer wants to play the terrace so is closing the inside room from 4-6am. Felix Da Housecat will be playing the terrace set that Jeff Mills was supposed to be doing (4am - 6am). Im told that it was'nt much cop last year when Mills did the terrace

Ooh so we've got the dilemma of Mills closing inside or Felix closing the terrace - I spose it's a nice dilemma to have  ;)

Tenaglia was really good in my opinion, a real lesson in how to build a set over a long period of time, gently picking up the pace every few tunes and occasionally dropping it back down again. The first few hours were my favourite keeping it quite proggy and groovy before he gradually moved into harder tribal and the odd techno record later on.

Sasha was pretty boring for the first hour or so and I gave up on him after that. Usually I enjoy Sashas first hour more than anything but this time it just didn't do it for me, very boring. By all accounts, it did pick up towards the end of his set though.

An honourable mention should go to Tom Novy who absolutely wrecked the sunset terrace with a nice mix of tunes and some party favourites to finish off. Loved the fact that he played the original mix of U2 - With or Without You, pleasantly surprised by this guy, top marks!

One thing I did notice this year was the growing amount of attitude from people on the terrace late in the morning. Maybe because it was quite busy, but it seemed to me a constant barrage of people pushing and shoving their way through the crowd for no apparent reason. Have never come across this at Space before, and I think at one stage it almost kicked off between a couple of Spanish guys at the back of the terrace. Leave the attitude at the door or don't bother coming in!

Couldnt agree with you more on all points. Like yourself i was very close to giving up on sasha. went upstairs chilled then back down to find that it was a bit better and he was good towards the end. Not a patch on when i saw him at the arches a few weeks ago tho. As for attitiude it was my 1st time in ibiza and that was something that me and my mates noticed in not only space but dc10. pushing ppl out the way when they want and standing infront of u. got right on my nerves at one point so i basically let the guy know i was there and he apoligised straight away :? . still had a btrilliant time with danny t blowing me away. such energy at times yet managed to keep it calm aswell.

i thought sashas set was far better than his set at the arches (the soundsystem and amount of idiots detracted from what could have been an amazing night at the artches), found his first 30 mins boring but after that it was class, up there with his sonar set.

only caught just over an hour of tenglia but he was first class as well.

I'll be in attendance this Sunday. Anyone have any idea what the time schedule might look like?

You see, I have to disagree with you (only my opinion of course) on a lot of this. I was on the sunset terrace for about 7 hours (unusual for me) and thought the DJs really built things up well. DJ Oliver was fantastic, and, unlike a previous trip this summer, the music was very linear, very well done, not all over the place. I love Tom Novy to bits, but he was terrible that day. I'm all for the close on Sunset to be a bit 'party' but playing dance remixes of the Black Eyed Peas and a load of singalong stuff was way ott. And dropping it out every couple of tracks and getting on the mic all the time, just meant it felt very disjointed really. Shame.

Blackstrobe were very good, as always, and, having waited 20 minutes for the crush to clear for Sasha, I stayed there for most of the set (bar a couple of pops to Tenaglia who was really grooving it). I thought he was amazing, and while I may be biased, I've also seen him play over 20 times and he can be bad (was 3 years ago on his birthday at Space). The system in there really suited him and I was blown away. Sadly James Lavelle wasn't up to it and I left, though i wish I'd had the energy to stay for JZ. He was, by all accounts, off the scale.
