Hi Im going out to work in Ibiza in July, Will i have trouble finding a job and accomodation? (im going alone) I'd love to go earlier but ive got work commitments until then. Also if anyone is going around the same time, im looking to share accomodation if poss.

it will be harder than say going in may, but you may find something.

you won't be able to be to picky though.

good luck.

a lot of lightweights who come out to work for the 'season' drop out midway through it. usually just after pay day. so you may just find something at that time. as for accom the same thing happens - a group of people who come together to share a flat ( loads have to share becasue it's so expensive) suddenly find their number is 2 or 3 down and the remaining ones can't afford to pay the rent and lose the deposit! they'd be desperate for you to stay.

i've seen this happen many times near where i live come august time.

if you come out in july, you will literally be relying on people leaving/being fired. luckily for you, the staff turn over rate is very high so you *should* be fine. i arrived last year at the end of june, and after working for a shit club night *cough*lashed*cough*, i found a very good west end job because my mate had to go home.

ibiza is always a risk, since you never know what will happen, but this is what makes it so good. ;)

Thats what im hoping, that people will be leaving early. Im not picky about where I stay or what I do. Just want to pick your brains a bit more, whats the best way to go about looking for shared accomodation?

just go to the ship inn at the top fo the west and scan the notice board, always loads of flats going there.

Yeah you should be ok, as mentioned by other people worker turn over is high on the island due to light weights, espically in places like Beirut, oh sorry I mean San An...

Probably harder in places like Santa Eualia which are where alot of expats live and is a little more sedate but is where people go to make sure they last the whole season.

Ibiza Town is also a good bet, in my humble opinion, it has a much better atmosphere and nightlife. But each to their own! Best of luck!
