Hi everyone,
I've been to Ibiza a couple of times already, and whislt driving around I often see a lot of nice hills, countryside etc.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the score on walking in Ibiza IE. are there footpaths and whats the score if you wander onto private land??

I know I'll probably kill myself trying to walk in that heat, but its something different to try one day...

any help would be apprecaited.

Thanks
Chris

but don't even think about this type of activity in july or august. it's too darn hot.[/quote]

I love walking in the sunshine - certainly makes a change from walking in Scotland!

Just remember to take plenty of water and suncream.

Hi, I wouldn't recomend you to walk around in july and august, it is unhealthy, is not only the sun you got to count with, is the heat increassed by humidity. And you should count that you are going to sweet a lot and you should put suncream not to get burnt wich would make you sweet even more. So my recomendation is not to walk this days, if you decided to walk remember to walk early in the morning or late in the afternoon, in this case remembering to go early enough to be back before is dark. Drink plenty of water not to cold and during all day, wear a hat, proper clothes and shoes.
My recommendation is not to go walking in this type of weather.

exactly. the problem in ibiza is the humidity, this is what causes exhaustion and illness. be careful in july and august.

keen walker

I love walking and must have covered 100's of miles already in my last two visits and early and late season are the best for this. End of may and all september is great. Cooler to walk but still busy for the night life. Cala San Vicent is my fav place for walking but it can be quite rocky and remote take loads of water

Hat ,water, Suncream and Common sense!!!

jonc

I promised a pal to leave one beach out of the guide, but now he´s left the island think gonna have to make a trip to Cala des Jonc. What does it mean BTW, and is that a patch of sand I spot there!??

i thought it was you who once said some places are best left out of a guide? ;)
