Viva/Fundacion at Space 18.08.05

XPRESS 2 THIS WEEK!

:twisted: This week at Thursdays @ Space its XPRESS 2 playing so im looking forward to their set! Saw them play a few times in the UK and they really had the crowd in their hands!!!

I think this will show space havent lost it with Thursdays! I went a few weeks ago and had an excellent time with Pete Gooding and Steve Lawler playing wicked sets..

I dont reckon theres a problem with the PR its just that a new night always takes time to grow and build up a regular crowd....
 
I went last Thursday and i too were disappointed.....very little atmosphere. The terrace was probably a bit more than half full which isn't very good considering it was free entry before midnight with a flyer that was being distributed all over the island.

With regard to Steve Lawler, the sooner he retuns to playing his moody dark tribal the better. The house and electro-house he is playing these days is very uninspiring.

I don't think Thursday's are any more competitive than any other day on the island.........i just think that steve lawler is not as big a draw card as people think........if you can't attract the spanish crowd you are not going to do very well at space. Coxy proves this every Tuesday......he has a massive following among the local spanish crowd and his night is packed every week
 
I do think that with any new night it takes a while to pick up and while there were some slow nights there overall its been pretty successful , spoke to a few people about it and they have all had a really good time there.

as for lawlers sound i think that for any dj to survive you have to try new things and i think his heading in the right direction....... i prefer his new sound to the old one its a bit more interesting and more danceable!!
 
I went to Viva on the 8th of Sep.Just could not get into it atall.X-press 2
were very heavy so we went to the listen to Pete Gooding.Very chilled out
but good all the same.Lawler came on and he was pure mince aswell.What has happened to him in the last few years???.Major disapointment.Wish I went to We love Sundays now...top nights I went to were...
1,Sanchez-knows how to work the crowd.Brillant.
2,Deep Dish-Top tunes,the wife was not into it but she was comparing everthing to Sanchez.
3,DC10-very messy..
4,BoraBora-was there every day.Tunes abit more heavy than past years
but still top drawer.
