What does "VIP" get you in the big clubs? Is it worth it?

It depends on the club. There's no VIP area in Space, unless you count the dj booth and the immediate surrounds. You can arrange to buy a bottle of spirits for a few hundred euros but you have to stand with everybody else.matrixkitty said:

In Amnesia all the VIP areas are upstairs. It's typically less crowded. The air conditioning is much better, which is much appreciated in August. The bar prices are higher. More exclusive zones are closer to the action.
I dunno about Privilege. Apparently the view of the stage in the main room is very good. The rest of the arrangements are probably much like Pacha.

Your standard VIP package in pacha, amnesia, privilege isn't worth it if you have to pay for it IMO. IF you get it free, by knowing the right people or getting to know them, then you are more likely to gain access to the 'real' VIP areas and of course it'll cost you nowt8) .
Without doubt IMO, Amnesia has the most spectacular VIP area, high above the club in both rooms, a terrace, it had VIP areas within VIP areas within the main VIP area. IF you get really lucky you'll find yourself in one of their notorious caves where anything goes (like the grotto in the playboy mansion
). An acess all areas pass at Amnesia means that you can stand next to the DJ above the crowd as the ice cannon fires and the bass drops...............................

Oh I have had some very debaucherous times in the VIP of Amnesia, in fact I got quite 
at one visit - but having said that I prefer to be amongst everyone else - the VIP areas tend to detract from the full atmosphere of the club for me.
So unless you have sheds of money for this I wouldnt bother.

my humble opinion for the vips:
eden: way too expensive for what you get
privilege: for me would be only interesting for meganite - sofar we´ve always been on the gl, but as normal tickets wont set you back that much => vip way too expensive (and not nearly as much fun as on the dancefloor)
pacha: not my thing
amnesia: maybe, if cream is too crowded downstairs. but again, why in vip when you can have so much more fun below?

I do not know if it is a VIP area or not, but my boyfriend told me that many years ago, there was a VIP area, or at least a private area because he saw in the main room, on the left side where the bar is, he saw Maradonna on a table partying like a kid and the whole area was bloked to get into there...
They do sometimes tape off the area by the DJ box in the Discotecha, not very often though.
Only saw it happen a couple of times when Fatboy and Zoe were there and also the coxy closing.
Also on the Terrace to the right of the DJ box they sometimes tape off too. Easily blaggable of course!
