VIP at Amnesia and Space worth it?

I did chuckle at the 'I'm 37 now and have a missus that likes moaning' - I'll feel you there. I can't wait to get out there next week for a few days nagging. :)
Anything for a quiet life mate. If she feels uncomfortable next week at cream in the hustle an bustle, my night will be in tatters, so for the extra 20 euro each its abit of a no brainer if you ask me:)

500 euros? That is a totally different league than I am in.

50 euro entry, 4/5 bottles of beer 60 euros = 110 euros x 2 = 220 euros

That's one expensive sit down:eek:

I agree but its not something I do all the time. First time in Ibiza so dont minding spending some moneyv:)

Plenty of 270 Euro butts floating around it seems. It's all a product of that American thing which has filtered over here and taken over, so they don;t see anything unusual in it. I think there's a culture of feeling that sitting on the floor or finding a quiet spot outside for a breather is no longer good enough so leather or velvet is required for said bottoms.

My own feeling is really that if you can't get stuck in and take it any more for a night it's time to bow out or find a place to go that's less crowded. All that sitting around with music so loud you can't hold a conversation has never been my thing and don't understand why you'd go to a nightclub to do it. The number of bored faces I've seen sat in VIP areas too numerous to mention ! But if you want to sit about high whilst blowing loads of cash or watch other people dancing then I suppose it's an option. Not one I personally understand but each to their own.

If someone asked me to fork out 500Euros for a few hours at Amnesia I'd burst out laughing. Sinking over half a bottle of spirits over 3-4 hours is also not something I've any desire to do personally nowadays. No desire to "graduate" into funding a VIP clubbing lifestyle (I'd rather have a quiet night in with a cup of tea, go see some friends and get up at a decent time to enjoy some nice weather !). Basically if it's too crowded to dance on the main floor, or full of rude people barging in to me, I'd rather find somewhere else to go.

Certainly wouldn't pay those sorts of prices to be able to still go to a club knowing all that is going on downstairs and I'm buying my way out of aggro. It all affects the atmosphere in a place. So if you're the sort of person who likes that kind of thing and want to spend your money that's fine, but I honestly think that if a night out at a club winds up costing more than £70 it's a waste of money. Makes no difference whether I have the money to spare or not. Everyone has their limit and that's pretty much mine. Paying 20 Euros to get up to the Amnesia balcony is just about do'able but the table thing makes me feel a little sick knowing what is being spent for what it is.

PS - Creedscat, you probably already know but drinks at the balcony bar are a couple of euros more than downstairs.

€50 general admittance is acceptable though right?

So the moral of this story is..... Ibiza.......its poor value for money.

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!

(It always has been but catch it right and you'll have a bloody good time)

Cheeky bastards!! I was expecting free drinks with that extra 20e ive forked out on. Like ive said already mate, were not planning on stopping up there all night, whats the point? Were there to dance and enjoy the tunes. Just somewhere to chill if it gets too much for a while. Ill get my drinks downstairs anyway mate, no I didn't know they were more expensive up there, cheers for the heads up.

Last time I was up there (at Cocoon), the thought of battling my way through the crowd downstairs to save 2 Euros on a vodka red bull was beyond even me, so I definitely wouldn't think less of you if you did the same ;). It did cause me to raise my eyes to the ceiling somewhat though, especially as even downstairs they were more expensive than at Pacha to begin with at the time ! But seeing as some incredibly kind soul had got me in there and upstairs for free, I cast my sense of outrage to one side and coughed up with decent grace. Several times, come to think of it. Still felt like an expensive night out !

We wont go up there straight away as I like to throw a few shapes on the floor ha, so will be drinking downstairs for a while. As someone already stated, theres never queues at the bar, just getting to it lol. Also I noticed in there last time that loads were smoking in the terrace. I take it this is not allowed or is it?? I remember in pacha that folk were smoking in there so I thought f*** it, ill join em.

I was at cocoon on monday and they certainly didn't care about smoking inside in the main room at all at any time, and whilst it was dark in the terrace. As it got lighter I went outside to smoke anyway to cool off a bit.

Yeh its just the smoking ban in England is pretty strict, therefore expect everywhere else to be abit tight on it. Saying that when I go to footy matches abroad you can smoke in the grounds, most countries are pretty laid back. Would of expected amnesia or pacha for that matter would be really strict with smoking because if any of them was to catch fire, aint worth thinking about really.

i think its 6 euros difference for rum and coke! I find that ridiculous!

i did see some guy get walked out last week with a lit cigarette in hand at Amnesia but of course no idea why he was being walked out.

Gave the big clubs a swerve this year (and last come to think of it !). But there were even ashtrays upstairs in Amnesia last time I went in 2012 so at least then they didn't seem to bother about it anywhere.
