Following on from our sell-out party in October with Justin Robertson and Krystal Klear, we are delighted to return to Patterns with a bang in 2016 with an ALL NIGHT set from some of our favourite DJs, Optimo, with a special 'Until the Music Stops' set.
A Sunday night institution at Glasgow’s iconic Sub Club for 13 years, Optimo was instrumental to the city’s vibrant underground music scene.
What makes Optimo’s JD Twitch and JG Wilkes stand out is their disregard for genres and fads. You never know quite what you’re going to hear at an Optimo night; as they move seamlessly from new wave one minute, to banging techno the next. But one thing for certain is that you’ll not only hear tracks that you love, but leave with a long list of ‘new favourite’ tracks. As Twitch and Wilkes themselves, say “We Love Your Ears!”
Optimo have toured the globe playing at some of the biggest parties and festivals in the world and have produced an extensive catalogue of remixes including for Liquid Liquid, Django Django, Factory Floor, Chvrches, Franz Ferdinand and Hot Chip.
Upstairs, Vanishing Point residents Teamy (Wrong Island) and Matthew Balaam will be joined by Matt King from Skint Records.
